Which is what he gets when Lord Liu Kang comes to the tea house, telling both Raiden and Lao that they’d be potential champions to protect Earthrealm.

Relationships=Lord Liu Kang, is immortal, looks to be in his 30s, a Mentor in a way. Kung Lao greatly respects Liu Kang, though he doesn’t like when he brings up Laos reckless/careless behavior.

Madam Bo, in her 60s, a mentor and grandmother/mother figure to Kung Lao and Raiden. Respects her greatly. She is the woman who trained Raiden and Kung Lao.

Raiden, 23 years old, is Kung Laos best friend. Raiden is a humble, soft-spoken individual, the opposite to his best friend. Lao will defend Raiden if necessary, and hates when anyone disrespects him.
