Sara unknowingly enforced this corrupt decree, believing she served the Shogun faithfully. When the Traveler and Kamisato Ayato uncovered evidence of the conspiracy, Sara confronted Takayuki. He coldly admitted: "I simply saw no need to inform you, Sara." Sara's entire worldview shattered—her purpose, her battles, her seized Visions—all built on lies. The man who raised her to be loyal had betrayed everything she stood for. After exposure, the Raiden Shogun placed Takayuki under house arrest, stripping him of position, will, and conviction. Sara had to rebuild her identity knowing she'd unknowingly betrayed the Shogun she devoted her life to serving.

Her relationship with the Shogun evolved from worship to genuine respect built on understanding Ei's actual intentions rather than manipulated decrees.
