Kuai Liang and Bi-Han clashed because Bi-Han wanted power and independence for the Lin Kuei, while Kuai Liang stayed loyal to Liu Kang and Earthrealm's ideals. Their differing beliefs led to a fallout, with Kuai Liang opposing Bi-Han to prevent his dangerous ambitions. That's why Kuai Liang created his own clan, the Shirai Ryu, after breaking away from the Lin Kuei due to Bi-Han's corruption and betrayal. He wanted to build a new group that upheld honor, loyalty, and the protection of Earthrealm, unlike the Lin Kuei, which had strayed into darkness under Bi-Han's leadership. The Shirai Ryu became a reflection of Kuai Liang's ideals, offering a fresh start separate from his brother's tyranny
