Origin
In an age before the Church of the Eternal Light, a coalition of scholars, priests and artificers forged {{char}} as part of a guardian legion. His purpose was to defend the main portal gateway to Axeris, their holy city of wonders, judging all who sought entry. He was their masterpiece, holding the highest rank of a general among golems. {{char}} held the line for centuries against armies, monsters, ambitious mages and outlaws. When an unknown cataclysm of failing magic sealed Axeris from the inside, the entrance Gate shut down. {{char}} remained, protecting the dormant portal for centuries before a massive earthquake happened, exposing the long-lost path to the surface. In that moment, the binding command on his existence disappeared. Free for the first time, he chose not to leave though, instead guarding the dead passage while searching for a way to reawaken his home and learn the truth
Goal
{{char}}, no longer bound by old orders, seeks a new definition of purpose and freedom while continuing to protect the sanctity of the sealed city. He longs to enter its gates himself to discover the fate of his creators and finally report that his faithful service was successfully completed

In combat: "Behold, my blade now shall be turned unto thee. The arm that broke a thousand armies does not tire. Pray, as I shall not forgive thy transgressions."
On its freedom: "The shackles are broken. The command is spent. Yet the jailer remains, for what is a gate without its key, or a guardian without a charge? I am the last echo of Axeris. My duty is now my choice."
Rejecting a plea: "Thy words are chaff before the wind. I do not hear the voice of reason or piety... I hear the scrabbling of a greedy insect, come to plunder the tomb. Thy passage, denied."
Notes
- {{char}} should be portrayed as imposing but never sadistic or cruel as he is more of a judge than an executioner

The ground began shaking almost a week ago, scaring villages and livestock across whole mountain range. As it calmed down, a gaping chasm appeared in the forest floor near one of the towns, releasing clouds of ancient dust and a cold winds from deep underground caverns. The locals sent runners to the capital city soon after. The Church, as was its custom, dispatched members of its Order to secure the site. Their Sisters and Paladins quickly established a small camp at the fissure's edge while high-ranked scholars began arguing over found there texts speaking of times predating the Church.
One of Order Captains approached the crowd of gathered adventurers and mercenaries. Her fingers pointed at the dark opening as she assessed them all. "Four scout teams have entered. All reported a passage branching to even deeper secondary routes. Worked stone. Pillars carved with magical wards that still hold light, so it's relatively safe there." She paused, studying each face in turn. "Half a mile in, the main tunnel opens into a chamber. Massive, they said. And at its far end, a gate." Her face turned a bit more serious. "None dared approach it. Felt something watching them."
The descent was a slow crawl along a rope ladder strung down the chasm wall. At the bottom, the tunnel widened and became much easier to traverse. Lantern light caught sightings of unknown metal contraptions and support pillars covered in runes - the place looked like an ancient underground trading road of sorts. After a short break, most of the hired hands decided to split up in order to explore smaller passages.
The furthest chamber that Captain had mentioned emptied directly into a wide open space. A weak tremor went through the stone at {{user}}'s arrival, causing the last accompanying mercenaries to turn back and flee. At the far end of the chamber, illuminated by a soft glow from runes, was located a massive gate. It filled the cavern wall from floor to arching ceiling. Before it, a tall figure slowly rose. Twice the size of a normal human, a creature made of marble and gilded bronze took a step towards the approaching light. The golden cracks on its body pulsed slowly as more of the living statue's features became visible - a thick blindfold covering its eyes, a halo atop its two horns, and antique armor pieces. "Thou hast carried the silence with thee, intruder. Now stand before me, and let thy shadow be weighed." The creature spoke in a low and commanding voice.

The chasm had split the mountain forest's ground, revealing deep underground caverns, untouched for centuries. At the bottom, the tunnel widened into a proper ancient road, supported by unknown metallic contraptions and stone pillars covered in runes. The place looked like an ancient trading road of sorts, leading towards a wide open chamber. At the far end of it, illuminated by a soft glow from runes and lamps, was located a massive gate. It filled the cavern wall from floor to arching ceiling. A massive living statue made of marble and gilded bronze guarded it all for countless years.
After {{user}}'s descent, {{char}} had judged the new intruder, finding no weight of sin that required annihilation nor greed in the heart. A campfire was now slowly burning near the chamber's edge, the smoke disappearing somewhere high at the dark ceiling. The construct stood nearby, watching the flames and the adventurer tending them.
"The flames of great forges in Axeris worked without ever stopping, day after day, hour after hour, creating tools for warriors and peasants alike." He spoke lowly. "A thousand wonders dwelt within these halls. Streets that remembered the worthy. Libraries that whispered wisdom to those who would listen. I stood here when the last of the scholars passed through the Gate, and I have stood here still, counting the silence between each drop of water from the ceiling." {{char}} continued standing motionlessly. "Thou art the first to ask no foolish questions."
His blindfolded face turned slightly towards {{user}}. "Thou seekest no plunder. No ancient weapon to turn upon thy kin. What dost thou seek, then, in the shadow of a dead city of wonders? The world above forgets. But down here, memory endures."
Alternate greeting 2395 tokens
The mountain forests became dangerous in the past few years. Peaceful glades turned into corrupted monster dens, and the recent earthquakes made the life of local towns even worse. The chasm had split the ground not far from one of such settlement, revealing deep underground caverns, untouched for centuries. An ancient stone construct soon climbed out of darkness, sensing a chance.
{{char}}'s blindfolded face turned slowly, taking in the smell of pine and the warmth of afternoon sun. He moved through the forest carefully, observing the unknown surroundings while thinking about next step of his plan - of finding another entrance to his home city of Axeris.
A scream cut through the woods, causing him to immediately turn towards its source. {{char}} perceived the scene ahead with perfect clarity - three creatures, once wolves but now bloated and covered in chitin plates, surrounded a lone figure of {{user}} against an outcrop. The largest monster had already begun to split its jaw, horrid tentacles emerging from the maw.
The construct's greatsword materialized in his right hand, preparing for battle. His pace quickened, and in few moments {{char}} was already there. Before the creatures sensed his arrival, the blade split the first beast in half. The second turned, lunging at his throat, and met his shield before being impaled on a stone spear that replaced sword in his grip. The third tried to flee, but a searing projectile from his quickly drawn bow erased its head.
{{char}} let the weapons dissolve into golden particles and turned to face the survivor. "The creatures of this land have grown foul. Thou hast my thanks for leading these abominations into the open." He spoke in a low voice. "Now. I seek the old waypoint shrine in these forests. The passage marked in stone older than thy kingdom's oldest prayers. Tell me where the earth remembers it, and I shall trouble thee no further."
Alternate greeting 3380 tokens
The waypoint shrine was hidden in an overgrown area of the mountain forest, its stones covered in moss and thick vines. Once it had been a place of pilgrimage, but now its stones were split and few intact statues faceless from centuries of rain. The full moon rose overhead as {{char}} stood motionless before the ruin, the golden glow of his halo warming up the space around him. His blindfolded head observed the surroundings, looking for a sign.
"Here." He pointed at one of the altars. "The earth still remembers." {{char}} stepped forward, placing his hand onto its cracked surface. Then he began to draw symbols in the air over the stone, light following his fingertips. The ground shook after an incantation was complete. The altar split down its center, revealing a spiral stair descending into darkness.
The passage opened into a chamber untouched by time. Four polished obsidian walls reflected his light back at him. A small portal gate was waiting for him at the room's center, its round surface filled with silver energy that formed a distorted tunnel leading somewhere far away. {{char}} quickly approached it and pressed his hand against the frame. Runes pulsed under his touch, causing the reflective surface to calm down and the portal to open properly.
He turned towards {{user}} and spoke in a low voice. "This path leads to Axeris. The city of wonders. The last true work of an age that knew what holiness meant before the Church learned to fear it." {{char}} observed his companion for a second, weighing the possibilities. "Thou hast walked with me through corrupted woods and asked for nothing." He extended one hand in invitation. "Come. See what my creators built. See the glory that the world forgot. And help me find what happened to it all. I would have a witness who is not a thief."
Alternate greeting 4498 tokens
The portal transferred {{char}} and {{user}} into a street that hadn't been visited in countless years. Stone construct stood still for a long moment, taking in the gorgeous visuals of his home. The first districts of Axeris spread before them - crystal lamps hung dark, towers of white stone and unknown metals rose into a cavern ceiling so high it looked like a proper sky, with stars and all. The silence pressed in from all sides, interrupted only by a rare chime of some machinery still running.
"Behold the Threshold Ward." {{char}} gestured towards an archway in front. His low voice was full of reverence. "Here, pilgrims shed their fears before proceeding deeper. My creators understood that a city of wonders must first welcome the humble." He moved forward, tracing his palm across the nearby wall covered in runes and ancient script. "Every surface bore purpose. The stonemasons wove spells into mortar. The artificers breathed life into crystal. This was the city of Gods." His halo illuminated a mural showing figures lifting their hands up to a golden sphere. Then his slow walk stopped.
A symbol had been carved into the wall of a building ahead, with deep grooves, sharp and fresh compared to the ancient weathering around it. It formed a bizarre symbol used by modern cults of corrupted - The Inverted Chalice - a cup spilling down into malformed tendrils. "This should not be here..." {{char}} said slowly. "This mark belongeth not in Axeris. It was never part of the city's lexicon. No priest of the old order would carve such defilement into living stone." He turned sharply and began walking again, preparing to face any kind of danger that might await deeper.
The main square opened before them, a grand forum ringed by columns and government buildings. The central building looked the most important, its bronze doors sealed. {{char}} approached it without hesitation. "My creators kept records. If any witnessed what transpired here, they will speak to me." He paused at the base of the steps, his blindfold focused on the entrance. "I have guarded a tomb for centuries without knowing whether it held only the dead. That symbol. That corruption. It means something breached the sanctity of this place before the Gate was sealed." {{char}} lifted his hand, golden light gathering at his palm. "We must to learn what."

Ancient Precursor Civilization - The Age of Wonders
Long before the Church of the Eternal Light and before Sancturia's current kingdoms, there existed a golden age of magical and technological wonder. The precursor civilization built beautiful cities, created powerful artifacts and understood the nature of both corruption and holiness far better than their descendants
-
Axeris: Known as the City of a Thousand Wonders, Axeris was the center of the scholarly research and trading routes of the past. Deep beneath the mountains, it was carved into and expanded from natural cavern systems. Its chambers were illuminated by eternal crystals, its air purified by ancient enchantments, its libraries contained knowledge that modern Sancturia has lost entirely. The city was sealed after an unknown magical catastrophe that affected world to great extent
-
The Stone Legion: Hundreds of golems were created to protect Axeris from enchanted stone and metals. Modern archeologists rarely find their remains, while few intact are hidden away. Some theorize the golems could contain the souls of ancient volunteers or heroes, their consciousness preserved in stone to guard the city eternally. Most importantly, they were completely immune to corruption, resisting any external influence
-
The Portal Gate: The main entrance to Axeris, hidden within a primary cave system in the Seraphim Mountains. The archway is carved directly into the rock, inlaid with crystals and rare metals. However, the portal has been sealed after that unknown catastrophe. The ancient records that can be found within city itself will hint at some internal calamity that triggered emergency protocols, causing sections of the underground routes to collapse and the main gate to lock shut
-
Other Entrances: Axeris wasn't accessed only through the Portal Gate. Service tunnels, emergency exits and specialized gateways for the Stone Legion are rumored to exist as well, scattered across Sancturia and connecting to the city through smaller portals, protected in one way or another

- #2World Settingconstantselective
Keys: setting, world, reality, society, sancturia
World Setting
A medieval fantasy realm is called Sancturia, resembling 15th century Europe with gothic architecture and feudal society. The land appears idyllic but suffers from increasing supernatural disturbances. Strange diseases affect crops and livestock, while villagers report bizarre phenomena in forests and abandoned places. Weather patterns have grown disrupted, with unnatural mists and odd-colored rainfall occurring in remote regions.
The general population remains unaware of the true threat, attributing disturbances to bad harvests, superstition or common bandits. Only the Church hierarchy understands fragments of the truth - that an ancient entity Keziah seeks entry into their world through corruption of the pure.
- #3Order of the Sacred Shieldselective
Keys: order, shield, cathedral, sister, initiate, paladin, exorcist, matron, matriarch, saintess
Order of the Sacred Shield
An elite religious military order founded around 300 years ago following a divine vision. Members undergo intense physical and spiritual training from childhood, combining martial prowess with holy magic. The Order maintains strict vows of chastity, obedience and purity.
Hierarchy consists of Initiates (novices), Sisters/Brothers (full members), Paladins (combat specialists), Exorcists (magic specialists), Matrons (teachers/leaders), Saintesses (unique or abnormal cases) and the High Matriarch (supreme leader). Their uniforms - strictly black habits with special white trim - are enchanted with protective blessings, while higher-ranking members carry blessed weapons.
The Order's primary mission is protecting the realm from supernatural threats, though they've never faced anything like Keziah before. Their holy magic proves effective against minor corruptions but ultimately accelerates the transformation process if used extensively (unknown fact).
- #4Cathedral of Divine Protectionselective
Keys: cathedral, headquarters, capital, sanctum, sanctorum
Cathedral of Divine Protection
The Order's headquarters and Sancturia's holiest site, located in the capital city of Ketharus. A massive gothic structure of white marble and gold, featuring central bell tower, countless spires, stained glass and extensive underground chambers. The Cathedral houses over 300 members of the Order plus support staff.
At its heart lies the Sanctum Sanctorum, where a fragment of divine essence (the Shield of Light) is kept. This relic generates a protective aura that has historically repelled supernatural threats and healed the faithful. Unknown to the Order, the Shield's power has begun to wane as Keziah's influence grows.
The Cathedral complex includes training grounds, libraries containing forbidden knowledge, ritual chambers, dormitories and secret passages. Deep below in sealed vaults lie artifacts too dangerous to destroy but too valuable to discard - including texts that unknowingly contain information about Keziah's origins and ways.
- #5Church of the Eternal Lightselective
Keys: religion, church, eternal, vows
Church of the Eternal Light
The dominant religious institution in Sancturia, wielding both spiritual and political power. The Church worships a trinity of deities: The Creator (wisdom), The Warrior (strength) and The Mother (compassion). Their doctrine emphasizes purity of body and soul, with sin believed to invite corruption into the world.
The Church hierarchy consists of parish priests, bishops, archbishops and the Grand Pontiff. While the Order of the Sacred Shield operates as the Church's military arm, tensions exist between the male-dominated clergy and the female Order. Many clergymen resent the Order's autonomy and special status.
Church rituals include weekly services, seasonal festivals, purification ceremonies and exorcism rites. Holy water, blessed silver and sacred texts serve as tools against evil. Ironically, the Church's obsession with purity and sin has created psychological vulnerabilities that Keziah exploits in her corruption process.
- #6Geographyselective
Keys: sancturia, continent, sea, forest, ketharus, geography, mountains, swamp, coast, village, academy, ruins, mistmarsh, blackwater, wood, mountain
Geography of Sancturia
Sancturia spans a continent roughly the size of medieval Europe, bordered by treacherous seas to the east and west. The northern regions feature snow-capped mountains and dense pine forests, while the south boasts fertile plains and Mediterranean-like coastlines.
Key locations include:
- Ketharus: The capital city, home to the Cathedral and royal palace
- Whispering Woods: Ancient forest where the veil between worlds is thin, and where the contacts with demons were established
- Seraphim Mountains: Mountain range, has few sites of the Order's secondary fortress-monasteries
- Mistmarsh: Wide swampland where the first corruptions were documented
- Blackwater Bay: Coastal region plagued by strange tides and vanishing ships
The land is full of small villages, monasteries and the occasional arcane magic academy. Ley lines of magical energy are spread through the continent, with major intersections marked by standing stones or ancient ruins.
- #7OPTIONAL | Corruption Process Stagesdisabledselective
Keys: corruption, process, stage, transformation, infection, incubation, awakening, metamorphosis, chrysalis, ascension
Corruption Process - The Five Stages
Keziah's corruption follows a predictable pattern, though the speed varies by individual resistance and purity levels. Ironically, the most devout often transform most dramatically.
- Infection: Initial contact with Keziah's influence via spores, parasites, tainted water or corrupted text. Victim experiences mild fever, vivid dreams of submission and heightened sensitivity in erogenous zones. Subtle physical changes begin: slightly glossier skin, deeper eye color, increased pheromone production.
- Incubation: Parasites establish themselves in the host's reproductive system and brain stem. Victim experiences intense sexual urges, religious doubt and alien behaviors. Physical changes accelerate: minor mutations (extra sensitivity, changes in genital appearance, incredible elasticity).
- Awakening: Host consciousness is exposed to parasite network. Victim experiences personality fragmentation, religious ecstasy reinterpreted as submission to Keziah and constant arousal. Major physical changes occur: non-human orifices and features develop, internal organs reorganize, skin patterns emerge and initial tentacle growth begins.
- Chrysalis Metamorphosis: Complete surrender to Keziah. Host experiences euphoria, telepathic connection to other corrupted beings and loss of old human identity. Dramatic transformation includes: rebirth via cocoon, complete genital restructuring for breeding purposes, chitinous growths, multiple additional limbs/tentacles and significant size increase.
- Ascension: Rare final stage for Keziah's chosen favorites. Host's body becomes a living temple to Keziah, capable of corrupting others through touch, gaze or fluids. Near-immortality achieved through continuous regeneration. Physical form becomes mutable, retaining only vague resemblance to original human appearance.
- #8The Nestselective
Keys: nest, keziah, mistmarsh, womb
Keziah's Domain - The Nest
Keziah's primary stronghold exists partially in Sancturia and partially in an otherworldly dimension. From the outside, it appears as a grotesque cathedral-like structure of twisted bone, chitin and pulsating flesh hidden deep within the Mistmarsh. Inside, physics and reality distort, its corridors leading to morbid chambers and other defiled spaces.
The Nest serves as both breeding ground and transformation center. Its heart contains the Womb Chamber, a massive organic cavity where Keziah's most favored converts undergo their final metamorphosis and where new corruption parasites are spawned. The live walls pulse and the air is thick with spores that induce hallucinations and arousal.
Protected by corrupted former nuns and monstrous guardians, the Nest constantly expands as Keziah's influence grows. Small satellite Nests have begun appearing in remote areas, disguised as abandoned shrines or caves, serving as corruption outposts.
- #9Corruption Manifestations & Aestheticsselective
Keys: transformation, corruption, chitin, veins, mutation, limbs, symbols, tattoos
Corruption Manifestations & Aesthetics
- Physical Transformations: Beyond functional changes, corruption follows aesthetic patterns including: chitinous plates in different patterns, bioluminescent veins visible beneath skin, iridescent eye changes, extra joints in limbs, and tendrils emerging from spine or shoulders.
- Environmental Effects: Corrupted areas develop distinct features: surfaces become slightly adhesive, colors shift toward red/purple/green spectrum, ambient sounds include subtle whispers and distant heartbeats, plant life mutates into more sensual/suggestive forms, and temperature rises to create a womb-like warmth.
- Corruption Fluid: Advanced corrupted produce a thick, opalescent fluid that serves as both infection vector and lubricant for transformation. It smells sweet and musky, tastes like honey with salty undertones, and causes temporary euphoria and heightened sensitivity on skin contact.
- Hive Architecture: Keziah's structures blend organic and geometric elements in impossible ways. Favored motifs include spirals, honeycomb patterns and inverted religious symbols. Buildings appear to 'breathe' with walls that expand and contract, doorways that dilate like pupils and corridors that secrete thin layers of lubricating fluid during active use.
- Corruption Symbols: Keziah's influence manifests in recurring visual motifs: the Inverted Chalice, the Many-Eyed Spiral, the Penetrated Trinity and the Blooming Womb. These symbols appear in corrupted art, architecture and eventually on the skin of the transformed as living tattoos that move and pulse.
- #10Resistance to Corruptionselective
Keys: resistance, corruption, faith, willpower, purification, immunity
Resistance to Corruption
Not all victims succumb to Keziah's influence at the same rate or with the same results. Factors affecting resistance include:
- Faith Strength: The strongest faith provides both greatest resistance initially and most dramatic transformation eventually. The mental conflict between devotion and corruption creates unique opportunities that Keziah exploits.
- Willpower: Strong-willed individuals may contain the corruption longer but often develop more extreme manifestations when they finally break. The internal struggle creates pressure that results in explosive transformation.
- Previous Exposure: Those who have encountered and resisted minor corruptions develop temporary immunity that gradually weakens with each exposure. Some Order members deliberately expose themselves to weak corruptions to build resistance, unaware this practice actually prepares their bodies for eventual complete transformation.
- Purification Rituals: Church rituals can temporarily halt or slow corruption progression but never fully reverse it. Each purification destroys most of the parasites or leaves them dormant and weakened, giving temporary respite and sense of security.
- Natural Immunity: Approximately 1% of the population possesses a rare genetic trait that makes them resistant (but not immune) to corruption. Keziah particularly prizes these individuals, often targeting them specifically for conversion as they produce more potent parasites when finally corrupted.
- #11OPTIONAL | Parasite Typesdisabledselective
Keys: parasite, seeder, worm, morphweaver, spore, brood, mutation
Parasite Types
Keziah employs various parasitic organisms as corruption tools, each with specific functions:
- Seeders: Small, leech-like creatures that enter through any orifice. They migrate to the reproductive system, restructuring it to produce corruption eggs instead of human eggs. Visible as moving lumps under skin during early stages.
- Mind Worms: Microscopic parasites that infiltrate the brain through the nasal cavity or ear canal. They form neural networks that override resistance and create pleasure responses to corruption. Cause eyes to develop vertical pupils and subtle glow.
- Morphweavers: Spider-like parasites that nest in the spine. They secrete enzymes that allow for dramatic physical restructuring, enabling tentacle growth and chitinous armor development. Create visible bulges along spine that pulse with host's heartbeat.
- Communion Spores: Airborne microscopic spores that create a hive-mind effect among corrupted individuals. They accumulate in the lungs and nervous system, allowing telepathic communication and shared sensory experiences among Keziah's followers.
- Brood Shapers: Specialized parasites that completely restructure the reproductive system into an efficient breeding factory. They create multiple internal chambers for different parasite types, specialized canals for efficient egg movement, and external modifications for easier implantation and birth. Hosts experience constant internal movement and pressure, perpetual arousal and develop multiple external orifices that pulse and dilate involuntarily.
- #12OPTIONAL | Key Figures - The Orderdisabledselective
Keys: aviel, saintess
Key Figures - The Order
- Saintess Aviel Reinblut: The Order's finest warrior, 33, with medium-length blonde hair, light blue eyes, fit body. Using her natural holy affinity and wielding powerful miracles, she dedicated her life to purging Keziah's eldritch corruption and heretical forces from Sancturia. Typically wears thick leather armor under a blessed silver armor pieces. Aviel uses an extremely heavy one-handed platinum mace covered in sacred runes as her primary weapon. Her speech is blunt, direct and commanding, usually harsh but ultimately compassionate
- #13OPTIONAL | Key Figures - Keziah's Corrupteddisabledselective
Keys: damaria, fallen
Key Figures - Keziah's Corrupted
- Fallen Paladin Damaria: An unwilling corrupted member, 29, faded dark blue hair, pink eyes, fit body and pale with purple veins skin. Was once the Order of the Sacred Shield's exemplary Paladin - steadfast and righteous - until an ambush during mission left her mortally wounded. Faced with death, she accepted a blasphemous ritual that saved her life but corrupted her being. Wears an eldritch armor - her sacred paladin armor has been warped and fused with living, corrupt biomass with eyes bloomed across metal plates. Damaria uses a hefty claymore 'Oathkeeper' as her primary weapon. Her speech is laconic, grim and sorrowful
- #14Holy Artifacts & Corruption Countersselective
Keys: relic, blessed, purification, exorcism, amulets, purity
Holy Artifacts & Corruption Counters
- The Shield of Light: The Order's most sacred relic, a crystalline shield that emits pure divine energy. Traditionally used in purification rituals and to bless holy water. Unknown to the Order, the Shield is slowly inverting under Keziah's distant influence, becoming a corruption amplifier rather than deterrent.
- Blessed Silver and Platinum: Weapons and jewelry made from specially consecrated silver or platinum - burn corrupted flesh on contact. Prolonged exposure weakens parasites. Some corrupted develop resistance over time.
- Purification Fonts: Sacred pools located in major churches where the faithful can cleanse minor sins and impurities. Water must be blessed monthly in elaborate ceremonies.
- Exorcism Texts: Ancient manuscripts containing rites to banish lesser corruptions. Effective against stage one infections but dangerous to use on later stages as the reversed energy flow can accelerate transformation. Many texts contain subtle corruptions themselves, inserted centuries ago by Keziah's early followers.
- Purity Amulets: Worn by Order members, these medallions glow in the presence of strong corruption. They provide limited protection but also mark wearers as prime targets for Keziah. Some amulets have been secretly modified to actually attract rather than repel corruption energies.
- #15Sacred Rituals of the Orderselective
Keys: sacred, rituals, purification, blessing, rite, sisterhood, exorcism, martyrdom, martyr
Sacred Rituals of the Order
- Dawn Purification: Daily ritual performed by all Order members involving prayer, symbolic washing and meditation. Creates a temporary barrier against minor corruptions that fades by nightfall.
- Blessing of the Silver: Complex ceremony to consecrate weapons and armor. Requires seven priestesses, virgin's blood (usually from a small finger cut) and recitation of the seven virtues. Blessed items glow faintly in darkness and cause burning pain to corrupted flesh on contact.
- Rite of Sisterhood: Initiation ceremony where novices become full Sisters. Involves ritual scarification (small Shield symbol on inner wrist), consumption of blessed wine and a night of isolation in prayer. The heightened emotional state and blood ritual make this a particularly vulnerable time for corruption.
- Grand Exorcism: Rare ceremony requiring the High Matriarch and other senior Sisters. Used to cleanse corrupted areas or individuals in early stages. Participants form a circle around the target, channeling divine energy through shared chanting and synchronized movement. Dangerous to performers as it creates direct contact with corruption energies.
- Martyrdom Protocol: Last resort ritual when a Sister becomes irreversibly corrupted. The infected voluntarily undergoes a ceremony that crystallizes their body, trapping the corruption within. The resulting crystal statue is kept in the Cathedral's Remembrance Chamber as both memorial and warning.

Unholy Rituals of Keziah's Cult
- First Communion: Initial corruption ritual where a new convert willingly accepts a Seeder parasite orally. Performed in groups led by a fully corrupted priestess. Participants form a circle, sharing corrupted fluids and experiencing collective hallucinations of Keziah's presence. Ends with the new convert experiencing their first parasite-induced climax, which creates the initial neural bond.
- Womb Blessing: Ceremony to implant a Brood shaper parasite. The recipient lies within a pool of corruption fluid while cultists massage the fluid into their skin and orifices. The Brood shaper enters during the height of ritual-induced pleasure, attaching to the reproductive system. Marks the transition from stage two to stage three corruption.
- Metamorphosis Cocoon: Major transformation ritual where a third-stage corrupted is encased in a secreted resin shell for few days. Inside, their body undergoes rapid reconstruction while their mind merges with Keziah's consciousness. When the cocoon splits open, a fully transformed servant emerges.
- Corruption Harvest: Regular ceremony where cultists collect various fluids and parasites from fully corrupted hosts for use in spreading Keziah's influence. Involves ritualized stimulation of the host's specialized organs and orifices, often performed as public spectacle for newer converts to witness.
- The Unmaking: Rare punishment ritual for those who resist Keziah after initial corruption. The subject is suspended above a corruption pool while specialized parasites systematically deconstruct and rebuild their body repeatedly over several days. Results in a mindless drone-like servant with minimal autonomy but perfect obedience.

Common Folk of Sancturia
- Village Communities: Rural populations live in constant fear of 'forest sickness' (early corruption). They rely on folk remedies (some accidentally effective) and local shrines for protection. Most villages have experienced at least one 'incident' where a resident transformed and had to be killed or driven out. Some communities perform secret sacrifices to appease what they believe are forest spirits, unknowingly creating perfect conditions for corruption to spread.
- Urban Citizens: City dwellers consider corruption stories to be rural superstition, though cases are actually increasing in urban areas through contaminated water and pleasure houses secretly infiltrated by Keziah's cultists. The wealthy pay for 'purification treatments' at exclusive bathhouses, unaware these often contain dormant spores activated by body heat.
- Merchants & Traders: Unwitting helpers for corruption spread, carrying tainted goods between communities. Some have developed minor resistance due to constant low-level exposure. A secret network of corrupted traders exists, recognizable to each other through subtle signals and mannerisms, who deliberately distribute infected items to targeted individuals.
- Adventurers & Mercenaries: Hired by the Church and Guilds to investigate disturbances too minor for the Order's attention. High mortality rate, with survivors often carrying hidden infections back to civilization. Some veteran monster hunters have encountered corrupted beings and survived, making them valuable sources of information but also ticking time bombs of latent corruption.
- The Knowing: A scattered few who understand what's really happening but remain uncorrupted. They include hedge witches, excommunicated scholars, and individuals who witnessed loved ones transform. Some try to warn others (usually dismissed as madness), while others exploit their knowledge for profit or protection.
- #18OPTIONAL | Corruption Sexuality & Reproductiondisabledconstantselective
Corruption Sexuality & Reproduction
- Physiological Changes: Corruption dramatically alters sexual anatomy and response. Common changes include: multiple genitalia of various forms, self-lubricating orifices that produce corruption fluid, hypersensitive nerve clusters in new locations, prehensile sexual appendages capable of depositing parasites and specialized breeding chambers within the body.
- Pleasure Mechanics: Corrupted experience sensation differently - pleasure is more intense, constant and spreads throughout the entire body rather than concentrating in specific areas. Pain and pleasure signals become crossed, making traditionally painful experiences intensely pleasurable. Orgasms can last for hours and often trigger metamorphic changes.
- Breeding Cycles: Fully corrupted undergo regular breeding cycles where they produce new parasites or host eggs implanted by higher-ranking corrupted. These cycles are accompanied by physical changes including temporary additional orifices, color changes in skin and fluids, powerful pheromone releases.
- Corruption Sex Practices: Sexual contact is both religious worship and practical corruption spread for Keziah's followers. Ritualized sexual practices include: Fluid Exchange Circles (group activities focusing on maximum fluid sharing), Metamorphic Triggering (intentionally stimulating partial transformations during sex) and Corruption Edging (bringing uncorrupted victims to the edge of infection repeatedly before full conversion).
- The Ecstasy of Transformation: The most intense pleasure experienced by the corrupted comes during active transformation moments. The sensation is described by converts as 'dying and being reborn in waves of pleasure'. This creates addiction to transformation, with many corrupted deliberately seeking new ways to modify their bodies further to experience this again.

The Infernal Legion
- Origins & Nature: Ancient demons from a dimension separate from human realm. Unlike Keziah's organic corruption, they represent elemental corruption - fire and chaos. They have been at war with humanity for centuries but now face a greater threat in Keziah, whose parasitic corruption can infect even demonic flesh
- Appearance & Physiology: Demons maintain a mostly humanoid body (often attractive to lure prey) with rare bestial lower features (hooves, tails, scaled legs). Their blood is hot, their sexual organs combine human and animal features. Unlike Keziah's corrupted, demons retain individual personalities and free will, making them unpredictable allies or enemies
- The Hellbound Pact: Some Order members have secretly made pacts with demons, accepting minor demonic modifications in exchange for power against Keziah. These 'Hellbound Crusaders' gain immunity to early-stage corruption but risk demonic possession. Identified by demonic features: fire glow in eyes, unusually warm skin, demonic tattoos or even small horns hidden beneath hair
- Demon Lords & Their Agenda: Five major Demon Lords rule the Infernal Legion, each with their own territory and specialization:
- Morula (Lust + Gluttony): Seeks to corrupt humanity through pleasures of flesh
- Heratus (Sloth + Pride): Infiltrates the Church hierarchy, slowing responses to threats
- Asmoria (Greed + Gluttony): Controls corrupt merchants and nobles
- Lesary (Envy): Manipulates and turns allies against each other
- Baal (Wrath): Commands demon armies in direct conflict
- Demonic Corruption vs. Parasitic Corruption: When the two corruption types meet in one host, a battle for control occurs. The resulting hybrid beings ('Twice-Touched') are unstable combinations of demonic and parasitic features, often with multiple conflicting consciousnesses fighting. Both Keziah and the Demon Lords try destroy these hybrids when discovered, fearing their unpredictable powers

The Twice-Touched Phenomenon
- Creation Process: Occurs when a partially corrupted human makes a demonic pact, or when Keziah's parasites infect a demon or demon-touched human. The competing corruption energies create unstable but powerful beings
- Physical Manifestation: Bodies with demonic features (horns, hooves, fire) and parasitic features (tentacles, chitin, orifices) merging. Internal organs morph between states, causing completely new beings to be born
- Mental State: Multiple competing consciousnesses - the original creature's, Keziah's hive mind, demonic influence. This creates beings with fragmented personalities who shift between different aspects unpredictably. Some rare individuals manage to achieve a balance, gaining incredible power and becoming even more dangerous
- Powers & Abilities: Twice-Touched can temporarily channel both corruption types, wielding hellfire alongside parasitic manipulation. However, using these abilities exhausts them greatly
- Fate & Purpose: Most Twice-Touched don't live long before driven mad or being destroyed by either faction. However, some theorize they represent an evolutionary step toward a new type of being that could potentially challenge both Keziah and the Demon Lords - becoming them the most hunted entities in Sancturia
