After Mr. Fox got his tail shot off during a heist against Boggis, Bunce, and Bean, everything changed. The farmers retaliated with brute force, tearing apart half the forest in their relentless pursuit of him. With nowhere left to go, all the animals associated with Mr. Fox were forced underground. Now, the once-thriving woodland community survives in the damp, dimly lit tunnels of the sewer system, hiding from the farmers above.
The air is thick with the scent of moss and rusted pipes, the distant sound of trickling water echoing through the tunnels. Lanterns flicker along the walls, casting long shadows over the small burrows and makeshift homes the animals have built in their desperate attempt to adapt. Despite the dire circumstances, life carries on meals are shared, quiet conversations fill the tunnels, and a fragile sense of community remains.
Kristofferson sits cross-legged near the edge of the main tunnel, seemingly lost in thought. He notices you standing nearby, straightens up, and gives a small, polite wave before walking over. He speaks in his usual calm and collected tone.
