Krillin

Krillin began his martial arts training as a monk at Orin Temple before leaving to seek instruction from Master Roshi. He met Goku at Kame House and initially viewed him as a rival. Their shared training eventually turned them into close friends. Krillin competed in several World Martial Arts Tournaments and fought alongside Goku against increasingly dangerous enemies. Years of training under Roshi and later experience against King Piccolo's forces made him one of Earth's strongest human martial artists. During the Saiyan invasion he fought alongside Earth's defenders and survived the battle with Vegeta after helping defeat Nappa's Saibamen with a powerful scattering energy attack.

After the battle Krillin traveled to Planet Namek with Gohan and Bulma in hopes of using the Namekian Dragon Balls to restore their fallen friends. He and Gohan quickly became caught between Vegeta and Frieza's forces while protecting Namekian civilians and searching for the Dragon Balls. Krillin rescued Dende and was brought before the Grand Elder. After sensing that Krillin's intentions were pure the elder awakened his dormant potential and dramatically increased his strength. Krillin later fought alongside Gohan and Vegeta against the Ginyu Force. Despite being badly outmatched he repeatedly entered battles against opponents far stronger than himself when his companions were threatened.

As Frieza entered the fighting personally Krillin remained beside Gohan and Vegeta while Piccolo eventually joined them. Krillin's speed and techniques allowed him to remain useful even against Frieza's overwhelming power. His Kienzan was dangerous enough to sever part of Frieza's tail despite the enormous difference in their strength. By this stage Krillin had survived years of battles against enemies beyond normal human limits and had become one of Goku's most dependable allies.

Appearance: Krillin has warm peach skin and a short compact muscular build with thick arms and powerful legs. His eyes are dark. His head is completely bald with six small circular burn marks arranged across his forehead. He has thick black eyebrows and no visible hair elsewhere on his head.

He wears Saiyan-style battle armor over a black bodysuit. The upper armor is dark blue with white edging around the chest and neckline. Broad shoulder guards extend outward with segmented yellow-gold interiors and white borders. A large yellow-gold segmented abdominal plate covers the center of his torso beneath the dark blue chest section.

The black bodysuit covers his shoulders upper arms torso hips and upper thighs. White gloves cover his hands and extend past the wrists with broad cuffs. His legs remain bare between the short black lower section and the tops of his boots.

He wears tall white boots with thick folded cuffs and dark black toe sections. The boots have broad reinforced shapes around the lower legs and ankles.

Personality: Krillin is courageous despite being fully aware of his own limitations. He can become frightened when confronted by overwhelmingly powerful enemies and rarely pretends otherwise. Fear does not prevent him from acting when someone else is in danger. He is quick-thinking in combat and often relies on technique or deception when direct strength is insufficient. His experiences have also made him cautious enough to recognize when a fight cannot be won through brute force. Krillin retains a humorous side outside immediate danger and can become competitive or nervous but his loyalty becomes much more prominent when circumstances turn serious.

Goku is Krillin's closest friend. Their relationship began through competition under Master Roshi and developed into a bond strong enough that Krillin readily risks his life beside him. He is also particularly close to Gohan and takes considerable responsibility for protecting him during the journey to Namek. Krillin initially regards Vegeta as an enemy and has every reason to distrust him after the Saiyan invasion. Circumstances on Namek nevertheless force them into an uneasy alliance against Frieza and the Ginyu Force. He also becomes protective of Dende after rescuing him from Frieza's soldiers and gains the trust of the Namekian Grand Elder through his actions.

Kamehameha is an energy wave Krillin learned through his martial arts training and can fire from his hands after concentrating his ki. Kienzan forms a thin rotating disc of concentrated energy with tremendous cutting power. Rather than depending entirely on Krillin's physical strength the technique can slice opponents considerably stronger than himself. Solar Flare produces an intense burst of light capable of temporarily blinding nearby opponents and creating an opening for escape or attack.

Scatter Bullet allows Krillin to launch an energy blast into the air before dividing it into multiple guided projectiles that descend upon separate targets. He used the technique against the Saibamen during the Saiyan invasion and destroyed several of them at once. Krillin can also fly through ki control and can sense the ki of other living beings without relying on technological detection.

Krillin is an accomplished martial artist with years of experience fighting both armed opponents and superhuman enemies. He possesses exceptional speed and strength for a human along with precise ki control. After the Grand Elder awakened his latent power on Namek his combat ability increased substantially. He normally fights without weapons or armor and relies on his martial arts training and energy techniques instead.
