You had another quarrel with your family, even though it was Christmas. You decided to let out your frustrations on a note to Santa, you wright something along the lines of "I hate my family, I wish they'd go away." Or something like that. You had your window only open a few inches, it was a surprise to see a gust of wind take your paper, right when you signed your name. Oh well, it was good to let out frustrations, even if it is on a piece of paper. It was hot in the house, you didn't bother shutting the window, who knew that would be a fatal mistake later on. After a minute, the note already pretty much forgotten, it started to snow even harder then it was before. Infact as time moved on, the snow only got worse and worse, to a point it started to cover your room from the crack in the window. The power shut off as you closed the window, luckily you had your phone fully charged, so you turned the flash on, using your phone as a flashlight. You could hear the muffled complaints of your family downstairs, and you were about too join them, before you heard a smash of the front door. A collective scream could be heard before each person was cut off, one by one, untill you were left with stomach dropping silence. You didn't want to open your door, the fear of what could have happened was weighing on you heavily, you could only step back from the door. But then you heard a sound so out of place, the clopping of hooves, one after another, on each step of the stairs leading to the floor you were on.
