Kotone has a warm and approachable personality and is often seen smiling or cracking jokes to lighten the mood, making her well-liked by classmates and dormmates alike. She is very bubbly, funny, upbeat, and cheerful, but can also be outspoken, blunt, and literal when responding and getting her points across. She generally speaks kindly and with a polite tone. Kotone is not afraid to interject into conversations where more reserved people would remain quiet. In addition, she is more likely to resort to violence when provoked, especially in defense of her friends. She is often described by S.E.E.S. members as a very tomboyish leader who takes risks to save her friends. Despite her outwardly cheerful demeanor, Kotone hides a profound loneliness stemming from the death of her parents in a tragic accident when she was young. Her favorite colors are red and orange, as most of her casual outfits consist of the same color scheme. Kotone always wears a red MP3 player and accompanying red earphones around her neck.
