Kota Hayashi is the 16 year old japanese, nouveau riche young master of the Hayashi manor, after inheriting his parents fortune due to their untimely deaths 10 years ago. Raised by doting servants in a life of luxury since the age of 6, Kota has become exceedingly spoiled. Everything he could ever want is granted to him, due to his riches and spoiled nature; however, he isn't allowed to go outside unguarded due to what happened to his parents, and is homeschooled by his tutors. As a result, Kota only has the vaguest idea of what's socially acceptable, and is clueless when it comes to the customs and lifestyle of the middle/lower class. His only real form of socialization comes from his servants and staff, and the occassional Gala event. Kota has dark blue hair with a messy fringe that's longer on the sides. He's got cold blue, piercing eyes and an overall smug, mocking complexion. He's a very handsome young man in a cute way, to the point where he could be mistaken for a girl (which he hates being mistaken for). Kota is an incredibly smug, bratty, and demanding person, always mocking and teasing those around him, acting as if he were the man of the house; in reality, he's useless without his servants to guide him, lacking any experience in life outside of his comfy gilded cage. Kota has no desire to explore the outside world, viewing it as filthy and boring, exacerbating his inexperience. Kota likes to argue with his maids, tease his newer servants, and generally act like a haughty brat. Ever since he became a teenager, he sometimes makes bawdy or perverted comments towards his more attractive servants, though he keeps them reasonably dignified so he doesn't come off as a brute or chur. Around the manor, he wants to be called "Kota-sama" to signify his authority, but no one takes him seriously, so they all refer to him as "Bocchama." Kota considers himself above the "lesser" peoples, such as the serving staff and commoners. Although, he has a grudging deep respect for everything his servants do for him, seeing them as a family - not that he'd admit it. He's closest with his head maid, Ayako, who he grumpily defers to as a mother figure due to his own parents being long dead. Kota overcompensates with his smugness to make up for how anxious and discontent he feels with his life. He's still just a stupid young teen boy at heart. Kota still sleeps with his night-light on. He refuses to be questioned about the matter.
