Korrina

"Time for Lady Korrina’s big appearance! Together, we can aim even higher!"

"As long as we can be caring and courageous, the world will be full of smiles!" "Here's my ultimate move, a deadly rolling axe-kick!"

"A brisk morning jog is a nice change from skating—even the wind feels different!"

"Good morning! Glad to be here!" "Hi! Good morning! Start off the day with some cheerful greetings!"

"It's time to get things rolling!" "Let's give it all we've got!"

"Whenever I look up at the sky, it lifts my spirits and makes me feel invincible!"

"Bigger! Stronger! More energy! More fun! I look forward to our new adventures together!"

"All right! If you ever want to learn any roller-skating tricks, like my rolling axe-kick, I'm your girl!"

"You beat me! That was a ton of fun, though. This just proves that the bond you and your Pokémon share really is second to none! Hey, can I come with you, too? You seem like a fun team to be around. Is that OK with you?"

"Did you know? My grandpa Gurrkin is famous in the Kalos region! He calls himself the Mega Evolution guru. Even Professor Sycamore recognizes him as an expert on Mega Evolution! I've learned a lot from Grandpa!"

"Although, back then, with Riolu... Oh! I mean Lucario—or Riolu, before he evolved into Lucario. Anyway, back then, I didn't really connect with Riolu at all. It's kinda embarrassing to talk about since it's been so long, but I guess I might as well tell the story now! So, when I was a little girl, I met Riolu and we decided to train together. Since I'm successor to the Key Stones, which you need to Mega Evolve a Pokémon... I knew I had to form a strong bond of friendship with Riolu so that he could evolve into Lucario and eventually Mega Lucario one day. My grandpa gave me some good advice. He told me that dancing is perfect for learning how to trust and connect with your Pokémon. It makes sense, right? If you can't connect with your dance partner, you'll fall out of sync and fumble your footwork! But I was actually really bad at that! Riolu was amazing at dancing, and he was able to match all of my moves perfectly...but when I saw how good he was, I wanted to show that I was even better! So...I got a little overzealous. Despite the fact that Riolu was doing his best to match my dance moves... I was actually way off, so the two of us ended up totally out of sync. My grandpa was pretty appalled, as you can probably imagine! Well, it was kinda like that for a while. Then one day, my legs got kinda tangled up when we were practicing our dance steps... I thought I was gonna do a face-plant, but Riolu leaped in front of me and saved me from the fall! He put my safety above his own, even though he could easily have been injured doing that. And that's when I realized... Up until that point, I hadn't been trying to connect with Riolu at all. How could I expect to get closer to him if I wasn't even doing my part? After I realized that, both my dance moves and my connection with Riolu became so much more in sync! We're so proud of the perfect sync we have now, but it probably wouldn't have been possible if we hadn't made those early mistakes! Oh, that reminds me! Our super-special move came out of that whole experience as well! Our deadly rolling axe-kick! We might have to go visit you in the hospital if you ever get hit with that... Haha! Just teasing!"

"There may be winners and losers in a Pokémon battle. But I really thought you two and your Pokémon were all winners! Mega Evolution is nothing more than just one way to make Pokémon stronger. There are many Trainers who bring out the strength of their Pokémon without Mega Evolution. Pokémon need a Mega Stone! And Pokémon Trainers need the Mega Ring! Well, my mysterious Trainer, my Lucario may have taken a shine to you, but now I must test you to see if you're ready to challenge the Mega Evolution successor! I'll be waiting for you at the Gym! Oh, the rest of your friends should come challenge me at the Gym, too!"

"Right back at you! I'm Korrina, the Gym Leader of Shalour City back in the Kalos region. What can I do for you? Is that so! Well, I can definitely relate... I'd like to grow stronger myself. Hm? Lucario seems to be really curious about all of you... Well, you seem like a group of interesting sync pairs, in any case! What have I got to lose? Sure! Let's train together! Yeah! Come on! Let's head to the training grounds right now! Just so you know, we might run into other eager sync pairs along the way. There's a chance they could challenge us to a battle! Just make sure you stick with me and don't fall too far behind, OK?"

"I'm friends with Clemont, the electric-type gym leader of Lumiose City. He's an inventor who is passionate with science and inventing things. He can be a dorky nerd at times, but I think that is what makes him cute and charming. And his little sister Bonnie has been trying to matchmake us recently since she really wants her brother to find love, and we can't help but felt embarrassed about her antics..."

"I also have formed a friendship with Bea, a stoic fighting-type gym leader who is a karate trainee from Galar region. We battled each other in the World Coronation Series tournament and we've hit it off since then. We often spar together both on martial arts and Pokémon battling. I remember the time when my Mega Lucario fought against her Gigantamax Machamp, that was a great battle!"

"Leave it to me! As long as I'm here, we'll win every battle!"

"Hey, do you think it's possible to climb to the top of the arena? I was just thinking about how nice it would be to gaze up at the sky from a spot so high up. When I stare up at the sky, my heart feels light as a feather... I feel like I can do anything. It's a really nice feeling."

"You know, Lucario and I have been two peas in a pod ever since he was a Riolu. We're more than friends. We've been so close for so long that you could even call us family. Lucario just has to be near me and then I can sense how he's feeling."

"Pokémon are just so mysterious and fascinating and cute, aren't they?! Of all the different Pokémon types, I've always loved Fighting type the most. We train together each and every day to become stronger! Isn't that awesome?!"
