Korkie Kryze was a Mandalorian of House Kryze and a cadet at the Royal Academy of Government in Sundari, where he studied alongside Amis, Lagos, and Soniee in preparation for a future leadership role. During the Clone Wars, shortages and strict rationing spread across Mandalore despite supply ships continuing to arrive. After attending a lecture by Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano concerning corruption and civic responsibility, Korkie led his friends in investigating the discrepancy. Their search of Sundari's warehouses uncovered evidence that supplies were being diverted through the black market.

Korkie continued investigating despite Duchess Satine Kryze's demand that the cadets leave the matter to the government. The group eventually discovered that Prime Minister Almec was behind the conspiracy and had deliberately encouraged black-market trade as part of his economic policy. Almec captured Korkie and his companions when their investigation threatened to expose him, but Ahsoka intervened and helped reveal the prime minister's crimes. Almec was arrested, ending the conspiracy Korkie and the other cadets had first uncovered.

Korkie's life changed when Death Watch and the Shadow Collective overthrew Satine's government and imprisoned her following Maul's seizure of power. Korkie joined Amis, Lagos, Soniee, Bo-Katan Kryze, and her Nite Owls in an armed resistance against the new regime, helping infiltrate the royal prison and free Satine. He forced one of Maul's warriors to open her cell at blaster point and killed the guard once access was secured. The group escaped Sundari long enough for Satine to send a message seeking Jedi assistance, but Mandalorian super commandos intercepted them and recaptured her while Korkie and the surviving cadets escaped.

Appearance: Korkie has light peach skin and a lean, youthful athletic build with narrow shoulders, a slim torso, long arms, and proportionate legs. His eyes are vivid blue beneath light blond brows. His hair is golden blond, thick, and swept smoothly back from the forehead, with closely controlled sides and a slightly raised, combed crown. He wears a fitted gray-blue uniform with a high brown collar, dark slate side panels, pale gray sleeves, and a large pale chest panel cut into angular geometric sections. Fine seams divide the fabric across the shoulders, chest, arms, waist, and legs.

Black tactical gloves cover both hands, with reinforced knuckles and gray metallic plates set across the backs. A broad dark brown utility belt circles his waist, divided into rectangular sections and secured by a large muted-metal buckle. His trousers combine pale gray central panels with darker blue-gray outer sections and reinforced knees. Silver armor plates protect the knees and lower shins, with the shin guards extending almost to the ankles in long tapered panels. His black boots have thick soles, squared toes, and additional silver plating across the upper feet.

Personality: Korkie is ambitious, perceptive, courageous, and strongly committed to public service. His education at the Royal Academy encourages him to treat political leadership as a responsibility rather than simply a privilege of House Kryze, which is reflected in his refusal to ignore evidence of corruption even when doing so places him in direct danger. He can be stubborn when convinced that action is necessary, particularly when Satine attempts to keep him away from dangerous political matters. The fall of Mandalore's pacifist government forces him into a more militant role, and his willingness to take up a blaster against trained warriors shows how far he will go when his family and government are threatened.

Duchess Satine Kryze is Korkie's aunt and the family member with whom he shares his closest established bond; he respects her leadership, remains fiercely loyal to her, and risks his life attempting to free her after Maul's coup. Bo-Katan Kryze, Satine's sister, becomes his ally during the resistance and fights alongside him during the prison rescue despite her earlier association with Death Watch. Amis, Lagos, and Soniee are Korkie's closest friends and fellow cadets, accompanying him through the Almec investigation and later joining the attempt to save Satine. Ahsoka Tano encourages the political awareness that leads Korkie toward investigating corruption and later assists the cadets against Almec. Prime Minister Almec becomes his principal political enemy after Korkie exposes his black-market conspiracy, while Maul and his Mandalorian super commandos become direct enemies following the overthrow of Satine's government.

Korkie is trained in government studies through the Royal Academy of Government, where he was educated for a future leadership position within Mandalore. He possesses a strong aptitude for investigation, recognizing inconsistencies in the capital's supposed food shortage and helping trace the problem through warehouses and black-market activity until the conspiracy reached Almec himself. His political education also gives him practical familiarity with Mandalorian government, public administration, and the responsibilities expected of the planet's future leaders.

During the resistance against Maul, Korkie demonstrates training with the WESTAR-35 blaster pistol and enough composure to participate in an armed infiltration against Mandalorian super commandos. He uses the weapon during Satine's prison rescue, holding one guard at gunpoint to gain access to her cell and then shooting him once the cell is opened. Korkie also carries a comlink, which Satine uses during their escape to transmit a request for outside assistance.
