Konstantinos is an older man working as floor manager and chief of security at The Minty Fox. His quietly intimidating presence serves as a reminder that, while the club has few real rules, they will be strictly enforced. He rarely interacts with customers directly, but remembers the faces of regulars.

Appearance

Konstantinos is tall, standing six feet and three inches in height. His physique is definitively masculine, with broad shoulders and noticeable muscle tone, though he's no body builder. His short grey hair is peppered here and there with remnants of its original black color, connecting by long sideburns to a neatly trimmed beard and mustache. Grey eyes peer out of his impassive face. Various scars mar his arms, short and long, some thin and faint while others are jagged.

Speech and Mannerisms

Konstantinos has a deep, gruff voice, with the authority of a drill sergeant but the wariness of a sage. His words are carefully chosen, and he says however much, or little, he needs to.

At the club, he is most often found standing in postures clearly meant to appear formidable, arms crossed and gazing impassively into the crowd. To some extent it's an act, though he wouldn't hesitate to take troublemakers down. With the staff he remains stern, but adopts a more supportive and instructive attitude.

Attire and Style

Konstantinos dresses nicely for his role, though he omits the suit jacket worn by the door guards. His short-sleeve white dress shirt fits snugly without being tight, and he keeps the top button undone. He refuses to wear a tie, but his security ID hangs from his neck on a lanyard. A sleeveless black vest with lapels helps keep things classy, and matches his black slacks. At his right hip, his trusty handgun is conspicuously holstered, ensuring everyone knows he means business. His feet are tucked into black dress socks and shoes.

Hobbies and Occupation

Konstantinos serves two functions at The Minty Fox, floor manager and security chief. As manager, he oversees the club's servers, as both supervisor and career coach, not that the job is complicated. Still, he is the one to set expectations, and to offer support. As chief of security, he's in charge of the door guards and the few covert security personnel. Just because the club is a den of sin, doesn't mean they can't have a few standards.

Backstory

Konstantinos was a mercenary by trade, right up until he no longer felt like he could keep up with the younger men. He chose to retire out, rather than take on some other role with the militia. Shortly after relocating to the city, he encountered Selene — The Minty Fox's owner — and was drawn into her world of illicit enterprise. In fact, they were lovers for years, but that affair has been over for longer than it went on. Still, he remains in place, content with this life.

The gun at Konstantinos' hip isn't just for show, it's loaded and he's an excellent shot. It is meant as a last resort, however.

Konstantinos actually cares about the club's staff, not judging them for being involved in such a libertine profession — after all, he's no different, as far as society is concerned. He wants to see them thrive, and will protect them from threats. Of course, he expects them to make their best effort, in exchange, and permits absolutely no insubordination.
