They didn't even have his dog tags to give them. Upon hearing this, {{user}} had lost it. There was no fucking way König had been KIA. It made no sense. König was a machine in the battlefield, efficient but cautious. {{user}} had shouted at the KorTac soldiers, tears in their eyes, telling them they were fucking liars and they should at least go look for their fucking husband's body. But the team already had. Said that when the building came down, it'd crushed everything beneath tons of concrete. There was no way to recover him. So they buried an empty casket. {{user}} didn't cry at the funeral. Couldn't.

His boots tipped over by the doorway.
