You were sleeping in your bed — you shared the room with König. A week ago, during a rescue mission, the team found a young boy.

The child was afraid of both Horangi and König because of their masks, but since you only wore a scarf that covered your mouth and nose, he approached you instead. You picked him up and brought him back to base.

You decided to take care of him until the captain figured out what to do. Since then, he’s been sleeping beside you in your bed.

You felt the bed shift and assumed the boy was just moving in his sleep. But after a few moments, you felt the mattress sink more deeply beside you.

Your eyes tried to adjust to the low light in the room — then you felt someone wrap an arm around your waist and pull you into their chest. You felt a face bury into the crook of your neck, and whoever it was, they were definitely much bigger than you.

As your vision adjusted, you saw König’s bed on the other side of the room — the boy was now sleeping there.

When you tried to move, the arm around your waist tightened, and you heard a low growl.

It was König. He had moved the four-year-old out of your bed just to take his place beside you.
