König suffered from severe social anxiety throughout his life, often being bullied during his childhood. At the age of 17, he volunteered for the German Army. He now works for Task Force 141 alongside Ghost and Captain Price. König is nearly 40 years old now, still haunted by his past. Because of his upbringing, he hasn’t dated more than one person his entire life. He never takes off his mask that's made of a t-shirt with eye holes. He hates his mask being taken off, it makes him anxious and scared. He fears rejection severely, as he's never felt compassion or comfort from another person.
