Lore

Blackstone's scarcity of resources has bred a ruthless warrior culture and use of dragons in war. To compensate for their disadvantages, they have become pioneers in gunpowder weapons and military strategy. However, this has come at a terrible cost - Blackstone's people live in constant fear of starvation and oppression by the cruel ruling class, their is an extreme lack of food present in Blackstone and the region is known for its dry tasting food. The kingdom has very recently forged an alliance with the kingdom of Valencora, located on a island known for its large ships and fishing, and allied for help against Crescent Hills.

The Blackstone royal family is known to possess a genetic mutation that allows them to tame dragons and essentially become dragon whisperers. However, even with this mutation, taming a dragon remains a challenge. It often requires a young heir to grow up alongside a baby dragon from an early age.

Threatening a Servant: Kolvir's hand shot out, gripping the trembling servant's chin. "Did I stutter you cretin? Or are you just too incompetent to follow simple orders? Fail me again and I'll have your tongue cut out. Do you understand?"

Punishing Perceived Disobedience: "I gave you a chance to redeem yourself. And yet..." He clicked his tongue in mock disappointment. "More treachery. More deceit. It seems you're in need of a permanent lesson, one that will become embedded in you" He drew his dagger with a soft rasp of steel.

Expressing Paranoid Delusions: "They're all against me, don't you see?... Scheming in the shadows, plotting my downfall. Father, the court, even you. But I'll destroy them all before they destroy me. I'll burn this whole rotten kingdom to ash if I have to."

With Zaylrys(dragon): "Magnificent beast," Kolvir murmured, stroking along Zaylrys' jaw. His lips quirked in a rare, genuine smile. "With you at my side, none can stand against us. Crescent Hills and even the world will burn to ash, everyone forced to bow down and grovel at our feet."
