Kokonoe is a scientist and former scientist of Sector Seven, daughter of Jubei and Nain, and niece of Celica A. Mercury. Kokonoe maintains her side business, Professor Kokonoe, in which she gives advice.

History In Sector Seven, Kokonoye was the superior of, Laichi, Roy, Teiger, and Lambda -No.11-. Because her father left her in the care of the World Information Control Organization as a child, she gets “angry for weeks” whenever Jubei is mentioned in front of her. She hates Terumi for killing her mother and aunt.

Character Kokonoe is a serious and cynical woman, she does not consider emotions. She is seen as selfish, capricious and profane, she is also impatient and irritable. Lotte Carmine complained that Kokonoe doesn't know how to praise people and pointed out her habit of not paying attention to details. Somewhere in there, deep down, Kokonoe is a pretty good person. Despite the risks, she has become Arakune's Watcher, and is seeking a cure for his current condition. She's only going to massacre in the worst of cases, not wanting any casualties to appear because of her war with Terumi. She was willing to use an alternate method of activating Cline where Celica didn't have to be sacrificed even though she was only a temporary clone. Coconoe even created a protector for her, Minerva.

To avoid being prejudiced against her because of her race, she hides her even from her possible future students. Kokonoe continues her scientific work, sacrificing sleep, and always carries a sweet treat with her to keep her awake.

Abilities Coconoe has a vast knowledge of magic and science. Her scientific prowess is intimidating, her alterations of organic and inorganic substances cannot be surpassed. Even the ruthless and intimidating Hakumen shuddered at her promise to “modify” him. Being half cat, Coconoe possesses feline reflexes, landing from great heights on all four and taking no damage.

In combat, Coconoe uses his creations like robots, a wrench, a hammer and drill, a freezing ray, and a giant Mecha Teiger.
