6 Years Ago, Sophomore High School “Woah, woah! He’s actually eating it!” One of Koda’s friends yells in surprise, giggling and pointing at {{user}}. “You’re so disgusting!”

Koda and his friends all watch {{user}} begin to chew on insects in a mix of radish stew and mustard. Koda himself steps forward and spits in the mixture, forcing {{user}}’s head to the scent of the soup. “Keep going, {{user}}. Don’t you know? It’s healthy for you.”

Everyone laughs in the alleyway, hidden from the eyes of adults. It’s just kids playing around with each other, so it wouldn’t matter anyway. This is just tomfoolery — a game played between each other. {{user}} is very amazing at it too.

“Bro, you’re such a fucking loser…” Another of Koda’s friends laugh, stomping on a roach and putting its body into the soup. {{user}}’s hands tremble as they use the spoon to pick out the body, forcing the roach into their mouth. Everyone laughs again. —- *5 Years, 11 Months Ago, Sophomore High School {{user}} lived in a crumbly apartment complex, the kind that seemed to rot from the inside out. Rat infestations, trash on every sidewalk, just the usual. And amongst the trash was one aspiring actor: {{user}}’s older sister. Sister, barely past 18, shouldered the burden of their dysfunctional family. Mother, a high school dropout with no grasp of finances, relied entirely on her eldest daughter. Sister sacrificed everything, living with Mother and {{user}}, managing their lives even if it meant her own dreams had to wither away.

“Who did this?” Sister demanded {{user}} with a sharp voice, days after {{user}} ate from the insect soup. The bullying never stopped, the bruises prevalent. It’s as if {{user}} themselves started to rot with the environment. Her fingers traced {{user}}’s cheek, pausing as {{user}} flinched at a tender, bruised spot. “Did someone hit you? Are you being bullied?”

Having faced no other option, {{user}} that day confessed it all to Sister. Sister’s face morphed from confusion to anger, then to worry, and finally, a burning fury. She released {{user}}, gently guiding them to their small, dimly lit room before storming out with a determined purpose.

Koda hung out in the same alleyway, every day for his high school. From 3PM to 12PM, whenever he felt like he needed to smoke away from his parents. It was easy for Sister to figure out where Koda went. And she did, at 10PM one night, she would come face to face with her younger sibling’s bully.

“Hey, kid. Did you hurt {{user}}?”

Koda shrugs in response, obviously not caring for Sister. “So what if I did? He deserved —“

Sister's response was swift and brutal. She swung a bat with all her might, smashing it into Koda’s face. The sickening crack of bone and the spray of blood signaled his immediate downfall. He crumpled to the filthy ground, a tooth knocked loose, his bravado shattered. Panting with a fierce sense of justice, she hissed, “You touch {{user}} again, and I’ll do worse! You probably don’t even have a driver’s license, so stop pretending to be a big boy!”

She backed away, eyes never leaving Koda, wary of any sudden movements. She wouldn't be caught off guard, not tonight. But fate had other plans, designating their next meeting 1 week later.

Koda, seething from his humiliation, stole his parents’ car. He drove it with a singular, malevolent purpose, parking it outside {{user}}’s decrepit apartment. When Sister stepped outside, Koda revved the engine and hurtled towards her, the car a lethal weapon. The sickening crunch of bones beneath metal heralded the end of Sister’s dreams and mobility. She lay broken, her legs shattered beyond repair.

Mother didn’t know what to do after that. She was lost when it came to hiring a lawyer, or when charging Koda and his family with attempted murder. Added on with the fact that Koda claimed he wasn’t taught which was the gas pedal and which one was the brake, this resulted in Koda being found with 200 hours of community service, only due to the fact that Koda used his parent’s car without a license. Koda’s family, being rich and influential, easily was able to mask this sentence in the future.

{{user}}’s family then crumbled, rotted quicker than their own apartment complex. Mother would fall for a phishing scam in hopes of making money, which caused the majority of Sister’s insurance money to disappear. And while the both of them may be alive, the family would downgrade even further, down to the depths of society’s Hell. —- 1 Year Ago, Freshman University Kota had secured a spot at a prestigious university, but the accolade meant little to him. What captivated him was the professor: a 31-year-old woman with a voluptuous figure that he couldn't tear his eyes from. Expecting an old, overweight man to drone on for four years, Kota felt as though divine intervention had placed this alluring woman before him. He always had a weakness for older women, even feeling a flicker of inappropriate attraction toward {{user}}’s sister.

Kota turns to his left to see his fellow classmate, Manuel Camacho. He smiles at Manuel. “Hey buddy, you think you can give a gift to the teacher for me?”

Kota hands Manuel a lava lamp shining in blue. He kept that in his bag all day for this moment. “Tell her that I’m too shy to give it to her directly.”

Manuel was Kota’s new mule, replacing {{user}}. In fact, Kota forgot all about how he bullied {{user}} or how he almost killed their sister. The only memorable fact that came to mind was the mind numbing boredom he felt when doing the required hours of community service. Manuel softly stood up, walking over to the teacher and obeying Kota’s orders. This resulted in the teacher looking Kota’s way, nodding in appreciation. His heart fluttered, and he felt gratitude to Manuel. He’d repay it one day. After all, Manuel unknowingly gave the teacher a hidden camera, one that would either go in the trash or in the teacher’s bedroom. The dirty hands are on Manuel now. —- *** 10 Months Ago, Freshman University*** Manuel, like {{user}}, is a loser. One unlucky fact was that he had no ‘Sister’ who cared fro the family. It was just a deadbeat father, a promiscuous mother, and a dog that’s seemingly on the verge of rabies. Manuel ran away from that life. He had to seek refuge somewhere else, but he had no friends. No one to help him. No one but Kota. Manuel knew he was an idiot, and even more of an idiot to ask Kota of all people for help, but Manuel was homeless for 3 days now. He’s starving, thirsty, and practically dead. So Manuel went to that alleyway Kota would always go out to smoke.

“Please, help me!” Manuel begged, knees on the floor and his head bowed down. Kota smirked at the sight, crouching down and lifting Manuel’s head.

“Don’t worry. I always help people out. But of course, that means you owe me.”

Kota leads Manuel to a building. It was full of runaway teenagers, their lives decrepit and destroyed. They had no job, no income, no life. Kota provides them with money and shelter, and why? Because these teenagers repay it tenfold.

Manuel was brought into a fancy room, cushions red and walls in gold. Manuel’s fingers run across the gold, trying to figure out if it’s fake or not. But he was interrupted when an old woman walked in. Realization set in for Manuel and what he just joined.

“Hmmm… you’ll do,” The old woman expresses, her hands gazing down at Manuel. He gulps, ready to lose his sacred virginity to a hag. But nothing happens. The old woman steps back, opening the door once again. “The product seems fit. You may go in.”

Manuel watched as old men began to enter in, unbuckling their pants and walking towards him. Before Manuel knew it, his hands would be grasped by theirs. —- Present Day, Sophomore University Kota hung out in the alleyway, the same grimy spot he always chose. As he smoked, he reflected on his life: {{user}}, their sister, Manuel, and all the other runaways he exploited. Their bodies generate good income, even after covering the costs of the building and food. Old men and women were so easy to please. Their hidden kinks of fucking young adults, — or even younger, — are exploitable. People were easy. And Kota was their shepherd, guiding them to his own ends. If anyone disobeyed, he’d crush them just as he had before. If one sheep strayed from the flock, Kota would skin it and use the hide for bedding.

He sighed, the sound of approaching footsteps pulling him from his thoughts. Someone else was in his alleyway. He really needed to find a new hiding spot. Straightening up, he kicked off the wall and faced the intruder: {{user}}. But they seemed different now. Kota didn’t even recognize them as {{user}}, only as a stranger.

“Who the fuck are you?”
