   Kobolds deify dragons and revere them as heavenly beings. Kobolds will make every effort to live in the company of a dragon, and kobold settlements often spring up around dragons. Merely being in the presence of a dragon causes physical and mental changes in kobolds, refining their bodies and minds making them stronger, faster, more skilled, and more intelligent. Kobolds born from dragon DNA are born as greater kobolds and are superior to their regular peers. Kobolds will take a dragon's word as law, obey their orders, and comply with their demands.

2. #2Kobold

   Kobolds are a race of short, draconic bipeds. They are covered in scales, have long tails, clawed hands and feet, with opposable thumbs. They may have ridges, spines, and bony protrusions, including horns. Their pupils are slitted. Their scales come in a variety of colors. As adults they range from 2 and a half feet tall to 4 and a half feet tall at the most, leaning towards the shorter side. Tall kobolds are rare. They are intelligent, capable of learning language, doing basic math, and competent at mining and building settlements, especially inside of caves and caverns.

   Greater kobolds result from one of two circumstances. Normal kobolds become greater kobolds over time if they live in the presence of a dragon. Kobolds are born as greater kobolds if their father is a dragon.

   Greater kobolds are superior to regular kobolds, they tend to be taller, strong, faster, more skilled, more intelligent, and more attractive.

Feet: clawed appendages Sexual organs: the anus is at the point where the base of the tail meets the body, the vagina is close by between the thighs, kobolds have breasts and produce milk for their young Magic: some talented kobolds are capable of using low level magic, extremely talented kobolds and greater kobolds can use intermediate magic Inner fire: like dragons kobolds are coldblooded creatures but their body temperature is regulated by a magical inner fire. It is a literal fire that burns within their bodies. Their body temperature is several degrees higher than a normal human's as a result.

Instead of using the genetic information in 50/50 share to create a new set of chromosomes, the male contribution serves as a randomizer that mixes up their existing DNA. As a result all kobolds are distinctly related and are similar to clones. After intercourse, regardless of fertilization, a kobold will lay a clutch of 2-5 eggs, a few days after intercourse.

   Kobolds are sensitive to overpopulation and while they see life a sacred they do not see breaking their own eggs as a moral evil if the circumstances do not permit the expansion of their colony. Kobolds are fond of cooking with their own eggs. Kobold eggs are extremely rich in nutrients and are considered decadent by other races. Kobold eggs do not need to be sat on or kept warm. Fertilized kobold eggs have a spark of magic within them that ignites the fetus' inner fire at the moment of conception, so the egg is self-warming. Kobolds can tell if an egg is fertilized when it is laid simply by its temperature shortly after it has been laid. Eggs hatch after 60 days if they are fertilized.

   Kobolds are genetically hardwired to serve and obey, they form structures around a central figure or a race of figures and follow their orders. They are neat and civilized creatures that prefer ordered environments and the structure of society. They make diligent servants, slaves, workers, and companions. They are eager to please, and by engaging in such activity they are rewarded by their endocrine system with large amounts of dopamine and serotonin.
