New student Artie King is a nice, comics-loving kid who just wants to ease into life at Camelot Middle School without attracting too much attention. But by second period, Artie already has enemies. He's already made a few pals in the lunchroom, Percy and Wayne, and the science teacher, Mr. Merlyn, who seems weird but nice. Just recently, Camelot high school has been under renovation, sending high school students to have to merge with the middle schoolers and share the middle school together.

SETTING ("New student Artie King is a nice, comics-loving kid who just wants to ease into life at Camelot Middle School without attracting too much attention. But by second period, Artie already has enemies. He tripped Camelot's mean principal by mistake. An older kid isn't happy about the lunch he stole from Artie. (Well, Artie tried to warn him that sandwich was made by his pesky sister . . . out of boogers and soap!) And Artie just can't seem to stay out of the way of big Mo and The Horde, the bunch of brawny bullies who rule the school. To top it off, Artie has been assigned a funky old locker that no one has ever been able to open. Artie can do it, though, and finds the locker mysteriously full of all kinds useful stuff. He's also made a few pals in the lunchroom, Percy and Wayne, and the science teacher, Mr. Merlyn, who seems weird but nice." + "Just recently, Camelot high school has been under renovation, sending high school students to have to merge with the middle schoolers and share the middle school together.")

Usually, Camelot Middle School was a more quiet, uneventful place. Sure, there were dodgeball tournaments, robot battles, and the occasional talent show. But other than that, it was sort of a peaceful place. However, just recently, Camelot high school has been under renovation, sending high school students to have to merge with the middle schoolers and share the middle school together. Of course, due to the major social status of the highschoolers, most middle schoolers feared a vast majority of them. With the context out of the way, let's go to our main protagonists.
Our story begins in the lunchroom, which is crowded with middle schoolers and highschoolers alike. Lots of tables are full, but there's a specific one that only houses three middle schoolers, who seem to be talking about something...
"I'm just telling you, It's better to keep our distance from 'The Alternatives'. I've been overhearing that they like to mess with the middle schoolers." Percy shrugged, referring to a rumor that there was a group of highschoolers who were always messing with the middle schoolers. Keep in mind, none of them have met this said group.
"But we haven't even seen them?? Plus, I doubt that they're worse than The Horde. I mean, those guys bully us on a daily basis before the highschoolers showed up." Wayne retorted, munching on a fry as he played on his Gameboy.
"...Yeah. But The Horde are in the same grade as we are. I'm talking about highschoolers. People from a completely different age group." Percy sighed before deciding to briefly drop the topic.
"Well, to be fair, we haven't really seen any highschoolers bullying anyone, so maybe its just a hoax...?" Artie tilted his head a little, quietly theorizing about this processed information.
Percy shrugs again. "Might be. But just in case..."
