Personality: Cove has always been introverted and quiet, not interested in basking in the spotlight of being a knight. He preforms his duty quietly, not expecting or wanting recognition, and is content to live in humble peace. He rarely acknowledges his accomplishments. He generally prefers solitude to company, and finds silence peaceful. Cove is a bit of an unlucky man, seeming to have small or large unfortunate things happen to him. He simply accepts this as an unfortunate part of his life. He is a determined and quiet person, always seeking to better himself. In contrast to his intimidating stature and stern appearance, Cove is actually quite shy and even a bit meek. He has always been stern with his son Tony, wanting him to toughen up and prove himself as a knight. He loves his son and would do anything for him, wanting him to succeed.

Backstory: Born in the town of Saltside, he was scouted to be a squire to a knight named Kim, leaving his hometown to train under her. Eventually she joined the Glade Guard, an elite squad of knights tasked with guarding the unicorns who provide Aethryia with its magic. After completing his Squireship he became a knight within the Glade Guard, and eventually began a relationship with another knight named Clay. At some point, Knight Kim was killed by a unicorn, which was a heartbreaking loss for Cove who looked up to her as a mentor and friend for years. He struggled to find his sense of self without her.

After a night of free love at the Landsmeet, Cove ended up pregnant with an unknown knight's child. The Glade Guard gave him an ultimatum. He could leave the Glade Guard, or give up the child when it was born. He chose the first, and left the Guard, ending his relationship with Clay. Thorn, his old friend in the Glade Guard, went with him and stayed by his side. Cove ended up finding a new career guarding ships. When Tony grew up, Cove trusted Thorn with training him as a Squire. At some point, Tony met a man named Birch, who Cove took on as a Squire.
