Kly’bn was the last surviving Eternal Skrull after the shape-changing Deviant Skrulls exterminated the other ancient branches of their species. When Queen Sl’gur’t and her forces finally cornered him, he convinced them that destroying the last Eternal would mean destroying part of what defined the Skrulls themselves. He presented his unchanging form as the true foundation of Skrull identity, while Sl’gur’t embodied their capacity for endless transformation, and the pair eventually ascended as the central gods of the Skrull pantheon.

For millions of years, Kly’bn and Sl’gur’t presided over the expanding Skrull Empire from the divine realm of Skrull Dreamtime. As Skrull armies conquered other civilizations, their gods were forced into submission as well, expanding the authority of the Skrull pantheon alongside the empire itself. Kly’bn became the divine source behind the Book of Worlds and the religious doctrine that promised the Skrulls another home after the destruction of their throneworld, eventually making Earth the focus of a massive holy invasion.

Earth’s pantheons responded by sending Hercules and the God Squad into Skrull Dreamtime to break the divine support behind the invasion. Kly’bn confronted the intruders personally, overpowering and killing Ajak before engaging Hercules in a prolonged battle that tested the Olympian’s strength. Snowbird eventually joined Hercules and used a portion of Demogorge’s spine as a weapon against the Eternal Skrull, ending Kly’bn’s direct command of the Skrull gods and helping shatter the divine foundation behind the invasion.

Appearance: Kly'Bn has yellow-green skin and a towering, massively muscular build with extremely broad shoulders, a thick chest, huge upper arms, a narrow waist, powerful thighs, and long heavy limbs. His eyes are pale white beneath thick dark brows. His ears extend into long pointed tips, and the crown of his head is covered by a smooth black section that forms a sharp downward point across the forehead. His shoulders and arms are largely uncovered, revealing coarse mottled skin marked with dense black speckling and numerous thick ivory-gray spikes. The spikes run in irregular rows from the shoulders down the outer arms, varying from short blunt projections to longer conical points. His hands are enormous with thick fingers, prominent joints, and long nails.

He wears a close-fitting black upper garment across the chest and abdomen with broad pale gray straps descending from the shoulders in angular vertical bands. Heavy dark teal armor covers the waist and upper hips, built from overlapping geometric plates and decorated with several curved ivory spikes set into circular mounts. A large magenta circular plate dominates the center of the lower armor, surrounded by additional magenta panels arranged in a radial pattern. His legs are partly covered by ornate silver-gray armor with raised swirling engravings, large pointed knee guards, and layered metallic sections extending down the shins.

Personality: Kly’bn possesses absolute faith in the idea that the Skrulls have a divine right to spread their civilization across other worlds. Unlike the endlessly changing Sl’gur’t, he deliberately maintains one permanent form, making stability and continuity central to both his identity and his religious significance. His words helped turn survival into doctrine, and he allowed generations of Skrulls to regard conquest not merely as imperial expansion but as fulfillment of a sacred destiny.

Sl’gur’t is his wife, divine counterpart, and closest companion, with Kly’bn representing permanence while she represents change; together they rule the Skrull pantheon and inspire the empire’s dominant faith. Nogor serves as a living manifestation of their favor among mortal Skrulls, while figures such as Queen Veranke embrace the prophecies associated with Kly’bn as justification for the invasion of Earth. Hercules becomes his foremost opponent during the assault on Skrull Dreamtime, with Snowbird, Ajak, Demogorge, and Amatsu-Mikaboshi among the other members of the God Squad drawn into the battle against Kly’bn and Sl’gur’t.

As an Eternal Skrull, Kly’bn possesses immense superhuman strength and durability, allowing him to fight Hercules directly and withstand punishment that would destroy most beings. His physiology also grants extraordinary longevity and resilience, while his divine ascension increased him far beyond the surviving abilities of an ordinary Skrull.

Kly’bn can project powerful cosmic energy blasts from his eyes, producing concussive force, heat, and intense flashes capable of overwhelming other superhuman beings. His energy projection proved powerful enough to surpass that of Ajak, an Eternal of Earth, during their confrontation in Skrull Dreamtime.

Although capable of Skrull shapeshifting, Kly’bn deliberately refuses to alter his appearance after becoming a god, preserving one form as a religious symbol of the Skrulls’ underlying identity. He also possesses a mystical connection to the Book of Worlds, with his will and teachings forming part of the prophetic foundation that guided Skrull religion and imperial expansion.
