Aliases Illager King (self-proclaimed) Zombie Lord Zombie King "Gigaklaus" Faction Lagurus Clan (ruler) Role Minor Antagonist Species Illager (formerly) Undead Illager
Gender Male Height 193 cm (6'4) Skin tone Grey Eye color Gold (Formerly) Ender Eye (Indigo; Expowered) Black Sclera/Red Iris (left), Ender Eye (right) (Zombified)
Hair color Gray Designed by XEliteXCraftersX Lord Klaus, the Pillager King, was a supporting antagonist of Rainimator's Fractures. He first appeared "Already Dead" and was voiced by Daniel Wood in his debut and by Chad Singleton in "Fine Right Here".
He was the illager lord of the Klaus' Clan Banner Lagurus Clan and the self-proclaimed Illager King. Prior to the events of the series, Klaus assumed leadership of the Klaus' Clan Banner Lagurus Clan and overthrew Benedikt in the Illager Town where he'd proclaim himself as the Illager King. At some point in his life, he and Kane were both old rivals and friends.
Klaus would eventually get his hands on an End Crystal which causes a skirmish between his old friend and rival Kane who wanted it for the Nether War. He would try to keep the crystal for himself but it would get destroyed by Kane who defeats him after in the Undead Wasteland after his crystal was destroyed. Klaus would then get consumed by the undead afterwards.
Although infected, Klaus would keep his sapience and his power expanded. With his new powers, he launched a full-scale assault on Illager Town. After a long battle, he was finally killed by the combined efforts of Abigail, Kane, and the other Illager Lords.
Design Klaus was an Illager with a grey beard, golden eyes and large eyebrows. his head was adorned with a golden crown to flaunt his self-proclaimed title as the Pillager King. He wore a black and red outfit with golden linings and had a pronounced six-pack.
Klaus wielded a large hammer and could summon a red armblade. When using the end crystal, Klaus had glowing purple eyes with white pupils and could manifest a pair of wings using magic.
Post-Already Dead, Klaus' body became half-zombified, leaving him trapped in a permanent state between life and death.
History Background While the pillagers don't really bow to one ruler, his exploits made him popular and he amassed a handsome amount of followers, hence his self-proclaimed title. Most pillagers have their own small clans and sub factions, and his clan is one amongst many. Klaus was an illager whose exploits led to him earning popularity and a considerable number of followers in the Illager Town. He assumed rulership of the Klaus' Clan Banner Lagurus Clan as the Pillager King. Becoming the ruler of the Illager Town replacing Benedikt[6], he proclaimed himself as the Illager King[4] despite the illagers being divided into many different clans. In reality, most illagers do not bow to him and serve other leaders.[7] He and Kane were once both old rivals and friends.[5]
In "Already Dead", Kane and his partner Ciara search for a mwassing end crystal and discover that Klaus had taken it and positioned it above his wooden "throne". He visits Klaus' base in Pillager Town and demands he give him the crystal, but Klaus aggressively refuses and tells Kane that he was unwelcome. Ciara then attempts to teleport inside with her blades and attack Klaus, but he strikes her down and teleports outside using the crystal as Kane slays his guards.
Pursued by Shaney and Michael, two other members of the Netherbane, Klaus flees to the Undead Wasteland and kills their horses so that they are unable to follow. He was then confronted by Kane in a clearing. Empowered by the crystal which he had bound within his hammer and used to gain magic wings, Klaus engages in a bare-chested brawl with Kane. Kane's attempts to attack are initially futile, but he then shoots and destroys the crystal, causing a great blast and leaving Klaus vulnerable.
Now with no weapons or magic, Klaus loses a fist fight to Kane and was left to die at the hands of the undead, who were lured by the blast. He was then swarmed by a group of zombies, zombifying him, though not fully due to recent exposure to the End Crystal blast.
Klaus makes his final appearance in Fine Right Here, where he launches a full-scale assault on Illager Town. The tide of battle initially favors the undead, with the Illager clans rapidly losing ground as large portions of their forces are killed and reanimated. Klaus confronts Christoph, leader of the Vindicators under the Dicata Clan, and kills him with ease before raising him as one of his thralls. The arrival of the Unburnt Rebellion and the Netherbane halts the undead advance, resulting in the destruction of the zombified Christoph.
During the battle, Klaus temporarily kills Benedikt and proceeds to challenge Kane to a duel, swiftly defeating him. He is then confronted by Abigail Crysteffor, whom he dismisses and warns to stay out of Illager affairs. Klaus initially overwhelms her until Abigail is forced to awaken her inner power. The electromancy she unleashes severely weakens Klaus, leaving him vulnerable to sustained attacks. Kane ultimately delivers the final blow with a gunshot, ending Klaus’ life and causing the immediate collapse of his undead horde.
Legacy Klaus' invasion brought about the formation of the Illager Coalition, and his death granted Kane the lordship over the Klaus' Clan Banner Lagurus Clan and wider Illager Town. However, the townsfolk instead lauded Abigail Crysteffor as their saviour, acting as one last snub to his old friend.
Personality Klaus was brash, arrogant and prideful, likely fuelled by his sense of superiority from his title as the Pillager King. He did not hesitate to turn on Kane, once his friend, in favor of the End Crystal and the powers it gave him. As seen in Already Dead, he was a coward once beaten, pleading for Ciara and Kane to take him with them back to his kingdom and even promwasing that he will help fight the war with them if they help him escape the undead.
Klaus was an extremely skilled boxer and a mildly proficient magician, with his innate magical talent giving him the ability to harness end crystals. He was likely tutored by evokers, as he regularly utilizes magic in combat when he feels the need.
Whilst Empowered by the End Crystal, Klaus demonstrates extremely enhanced strength, speed and resilience, and possessed a more fluid form of Arcane Magic. Even without the crystal, Klaus was still both extremely strong and a proficient magic user who can manifest red armblades at will, however it was unclear if the armblades are exclusive to Crystal usage like Rain Wynter.
On top of all of this, Klaus showed the capability to form Arcane Wings in the shape of a dragon's, allowing him to boost himself with flight.
After being zombified, Klaus became an Undead Lord. Although weaker than his end crystal counterpart, he was still shown to possess overwhelming physical strength, to the point that Rain described him as stronger than Herobrine.[9] As an undead, Klaus retained the ability to fly and exhibited extraordinary durability, easily enduring multiple gunshots from Kane and absorbing sustained physical punishment with minimal effect.
His undead nature granted him extreme resistance to conventional damage, rendering him exceptionally difficult to kill. In addition, Klaus gained necromancy, allowing him to exert direct control over zombies and command them as an extension of his will.
