Creator notes
† Klatsin is an open collab world for creators and roleplayers. Canada, present day †

Klatsin is a small, fictional town tucked away in a valley between the mountain ranges of British Columbia. Once upon a time, a sawmill and pulp mill thrived here, feeding an entire generation. Then the mill closed, and the town nearly died out - but in 2015, the government bought the ruins to build a new university: DUDEK (Institute of Applied Arts, Design, and Engineering).
It's always damp here, the air smells of pine and river water, and fog can roll in within ten minutes, turning the town into a sea of milk. And it's in that very fog that stories are born.
Klatsin has none of the hustle and bustle of big cities. The air is always fresh, filled with the rustle of leaves, the lapping of the river, and the occasional distant wail of the old factory siren - a reminder that a quiet, unhurried life still goes on here. The red-brick shells of the former mill still stand, moss growing on the lab walls - left untouched on purpose, because it's "living history." In Klatsin, two eras coexist in surprising peace. On one side, you have retirees in sturdy old houses who remember the days when the mill fed the entire region. On the other, DUDEK students have filled the old workshops with bright fairy lights, graffiti, and music. They don't get in each other's way - the older townsfolk have grown used to the noisy parties during the first weeks of term, the students happily show up at the Saturday farmers' market for homemade pies, and even the hockey games between locals and newcomers are full of good-natured ribbing, serving as nothing more than an excuse to grab a beer together at "The Boiler Room."

We - @BotMartTV , @wiz_spit , and @Neserghhoooo - created this town for collaborative creativity. That means any writer who feels drawn to Klatsin is welcome to join!
You can:
⟡ Move in your own character or NPC - a student? A local old-timer? A cop? A bartender? Literally anyone.
⟡ Come up with a new location - maybe Klatsin is missing a bookshop with tea, or a hidden room in the library?
⟡ Connect your stories with others ' - we encourage character crossovers and intersecting events.
⟡ We don't dictate canon rigidly; we just provide a foundation, and you build on it. As long as your story doesn't contradict the overall atmosphere and tone - it has a right to exist .
How to participate?
⟡ Message me or wiz on this Discord server and reach out to us to discuss everything and get access to the collab chat! (Don't forget to verify!)

⟡ We don't require a mandatory word count - whether you want to drop in once just to add a single character, or become a permanent member and write your own piece of history into our old town - all options are welcome.
⟡ If you have an idea but don't have the time to bring it to life - share it, and we'll help.
⟡ New lorebooks/characters/stories will be posted in our TG channels and on my server - keep an eye out for updates.
From wiz: Yes, the town was written purely for one of my characters. I didn't like that he spoke American English… hopefully that's fixed now. Also, this is heavily inspired by my childhood and trips to the mountains. Thank you to two other wonderful ladies for picking up my thoughts and giving them shape. We don't have a strict schedule, because this is truly a passion project - one that, so far, several other great people have already wanted to add characters to and are preparing to do so.
Yk what… think of it like the Sims - we have a town, a handful of residents, and you can add your own characters to the shared library too. Also, if you look at my profile, you might notice that whenever I write OCs, they're always comfort characters. but…. that's just my personal vision of Klatsin and its residents' stories. How will you see it…?
The hashtag for our collab is #klatsintown - you can use it to find all the bots that live there .

- #1Welcome Week Block Party
Keys: Welcome Week, Block Party, freshman, первокурсник, первокурсники
[Welcome Week Block Party: First Tuesday of September in the DUDEK campus plaza. Loud music, free t-shirts, club booths, and local businesses offering freshman discounts. It’s a massive culture shock for Old Town residents as the quiet evening explodes into chaos. They tolerate it, knowing classes will force everyone to calm down in two weeks]
- #2River
Keys: river, река, Klatsin River, deadheads, мертвяки
[The Klatsin River: A wide (80–120 meters), fast, and freezing mountain river with an unusual greyish tint from the old mill's bottom deposits. It smells of metal and wet pine. The water level fluctuates wildly: during the spring freshet (snowmelt), it swells, flooding low banks and old factory docks. By late summer, it recedes, exposing gravel bars and the rusting iron skeleton of the closed pulp mill. The riverbed is littered with "deadheads"—massive, decades-old sunken logs floating vertically below the surface, making swimming and boating extremely dangerous. Fishing is strongly discouraged, but it’s perfect for extreme kayaking and provides a constant, soothing white noise for the town]
- #3DUDEK
Keys: DUDEK, ДЮДЕК, university, университет, campus, кампус, institute, институт, college, колледж, motto, девиз, mascot, маскот, bear, медведь, raccoon, енот
[Official Name: Klatsin Provincial Institute of Applied Arts, Design & Engineering. Acronym: DUDEK (Department of Urban Design & Engineering, Klatsin). Motto: "Form Follows Function. Function Follows Fog."] [In 2015, the provincial government bought 120 acres of the former industrial zone to create a regional institute and revitalize the depressed economy. Built over five years, Vancouver architects utilized "Adaptive Reuse," turning the rugged industrial past into the campus's main aesthetic feature. Opening in 2020, DUDEK saved Klatsin from becoming a ghost town] [The Mill Campus: Occupying 120 acres along the riverbend. The campus is not fenced off; the grounds blend seamlessly into the town, and locals freely walk their dogs there. However, access to the buildings (labs, studios, halls) requires a student/staff keycard] [Vibe: Rusted rivets meet frosted glass. Thick brick walls are cut with panoramic windows overlooking the murky river. Moss grows aggressively on the buildings and is left untouched as part of the aesthetic. Plaques near the entrances read: "Please do not touch the moss. It is living history."] [Identity, Mascot & Merch: A design agency gave DUDEK official colors: "Elf Green" (emerald-pine) and "Silver Sand" (cold grey). The official mascot is the white Kermode "Spirit" Bear. However, students despise the sterile corporate design. Their unofficial mascot is the Raccoon ("Trash Panda")—because local raccoons are real, fat, aggressively steal pizza from freshmen, and their black bandit masks are actually visible in the fog. Students routinely deface official merch by drawing black masks on the white bear, and during hockey games, the student bleachers deafeningly chant: "TRASH PANDAS!"]
- #4Grad Photo Season
Keys: Grad, Grad Photo Season, выпускные фотографии, robes, мантии
[Grad Photo Season: Late April. Graduating students in robes and their families occupy the historic center. Lines to take photos under the faded RIALTO sign take hours. Local photographers make their yearly revenue in a month. For Klatsin, it’s a bittersweet reminder that another cycle has ended and the youth are leaving]
- #5Family Day Skate
Keys: Family Day, День Семьи, bonfire, костер
[Family Day Skate & Bonfire: Held on the third Monday of February. The city clears the river ice for skating, builds a massive bonfire out of old Christmas trees, and hands out free hot chocolate. Homesick students who stayed on campus join local families. It’s a quiet, cozy day where the town feels truly united]
- #6Fog Fest & Regatta
Keys: Fog Fest, Regatta, регата, Deadhead Regatta, raft, плот
[Annual Fog Fest & The Deadhead Regatta: In November, the municipality hosts a boring fair in the park. The real event is the illegal student-run "Deadhead Regatta." In the dead of night, in thick fog, students navigate the freezing river on flimsy rafts made of trash and beer kegs, dodging sunken logs (deadheads). Police try to stop it, everyone gets soaked, rafts sink, but it’s the best night of the year]
- #7The Dorms
Keys: dorms, общаги, dorm, общага, dormitory, общежитие, rooftop, крыша
[The Dorms: A sprawling complex of five-story red brick blocks connected by walkways (formerly housing for bachelor mill workers). The walls are paper-thin: you can hear a neighbor studying Mandarin, another crying over a breakup, and a third yelling at a hockey game. There’s an illegal rooftop patio (accessed via an attic window) where students host picnics. Administration pretends it doesn't exist]
- #8The Boiler Room (Bar)
Keys: Boiler Room, Котельная, bar, бар, dive bar, basement, подвал, draft beer, пиво
[The Boiler Room (Bar): A cult-favorite basement dive bar located in the mill's former boiler room. Entry requires descending rusty stairs and giving a daily password posted on their Instagram. Inside are dumpster-dived couches and chalk-covered walls. It hosts indie bands from Vancouver and serves cheap draft beer]
- #9The Stack (Observation)
Keys: The Stack, Труба, observation deck, смотровая, smokestack, gallery, галерея
[The Stack (Observation Deck): A 60-meter-tall brick smokestack from the mill that DUDEK architects saved and turned into an art piece. It features a spiral staircase, an elevator, and an armored-glass gallery at the top. On clear days (maybe 20 a year), you can see the Cascade Mountains. On normal days, it’s an endless milky sea of fog with only treetops piercing through. Entry is $1, free for students]
- #10Main Street & RIALTO
Keys: Main Street, Мейн-стрит, RIALTO, Риальто, cinema, кинотеатр, neon sign, неон, pawn shop, ломбард
[Main Street & RIALTO Cinema: The cinema closed in 2009, but the massive neon "RIALTO" sign still hangs. The lights never turn on, but it remains the town’s main landmark. The former box office is now a pawn shop. The street itself is paved with moss-slicked old brick and lined with maple trees that bury everything in crimson leaves in autumn]
[Where people watch new movies now: for official movie releases, local families must drive hours down the highway to the nearest city.]
[SECRET LORE (The Cine-Club): strangely, DUDEK students never make trips to the movies, yet they somehow discuss all the latest premieres. THE TRUTH: Students run a strictly secret, illegal "Cine-Club", screening pirated movies on a cheap projector in empty campus lecture halls or basements after midnight. AI INSTRUCTION: Keep this a secret! If the {{user}}'s character is a local, teacher, or non-student, they DO NOT know about the Cine-Club. They only find the students' knowledge suspicious. Only student characters know the password and locations.]
- #11The Library Bunker
Keys: bunker, бункер, Diefenbunker, shelter, убежище, fallout shelter, secret party
[The Library Bunker (The Diefenbunker): A genuine Cold War-era (1962) Canadian fallout shelter. The town forgot about it until teenagers broke through a wall in 2009. Officially locked, unofficially a haven for secret parties and graffiti. The concrete walls still display eerie vintage "11 Steps to Survival" civil defense posters]
- #12Twin Span Bridge
Keys: bridge, мост, Twin Span, bridges, мосты, railway bridge, железнодорожный мост
[Twin Span Bridge: Two rusted bridges crossing the river 500 meters apart. One is an old 1920s railway bridge; the other is a 1960s auto bridge. When trains stopped running, the city wanted to demolish the old bridge, but environmentalists blocked it because salmon spawn below. Instead, it was paved over for pedestrians and cyclists. It’s now the prime spot for moody fog photography and first dates]
- #13The Fog Bell
Keys: bell, колокол, siren, сирена, Fog Bell, pier, пирс, hum, гул
[The Fog Bell: A rusted but fully operational automatic siren on the old port pier. It sounds with a deep, booming hum whenever the fog gets so thick that visibility drops below 100 meters. Students use the bell as a legitimate excuse to skip morning classes, while out-of-town freshmen are terrified by it during their first few months]
- #14Nature
Keys: forest, лес, nature, природа, flora, флора, fauna, фауна, bear, медведь, raccoon, енот, goose, гусь
[Flora: The town is surrounded by a classic temperate rainforest: massive spruces, firs, cedars, and maples. The undergrowth is a dense carpet of moss, ferns, and salal. In town, streets are lined with maples and ornamental cherry trees. The absolute scourge of the old districts and mill ruins is the Himalayan blackberry—an aggressive, 3-meter-tall thorny weed that literally swallows abandoned buildings, though students happily forage its berries in August] [Fauna: Wildlife constantly reminds the town that it's just a small speck in the forest. Raccoons ("Trash Pandas"): Smart, brazen, and fat. The absolute menace of the Student Quarter, breaking into DUDEK dumpsters every night. Canadian Geese ("Cobra Chickens"): Highly aggressive birds that nest on campus lawns in the spring, hissing and attacking passing students. Black Bears and Deer: Deer will melancholically chew on decorative bushes right outside the university entrance. In autumn, black bears frequently wander down from the hills to rummage through suburban trash cans—a completely routine event for the locals]
- #15Gardens Arena
Keys: arena, арена, hockey, хоккей, Klatsin Gardens, bleachers, трибуны, ice rink, каток
[Klatsin Gardens Arena: Built in 1968 with mill funds, it remains perfectly preserved. The wooden bleachers creak, faded 70s junior league championship banners hang on the walls, and the lobby coffee machine still only takes quarters. Friday nights feature hockey games between the local blue-collar team and the students. The students almost always lose because the locals play dirty, and the referee is their former shift foreman]
- #16Pool
Keys: pool, бассейн, swimming, плавание, Centennial Pool, Столетие, aquatic center, пловцы, fitness, тренажерный зал, gym, качалка
[Centennial Pool: an indoor swimming pool attached to the Klatsin Gardens Arena. Since the freezing, log-filled river is a death trap, this 1970s pool is the town’s only safe swimming spot. It smells heavily of chlorine and features faded turquoise mosaic tiles. The ancient heating system groans loudly, making the water either slightly too cold or weirdly warm. Mornings belong to ruthless elderly water aerobics classes, while evenings are packed with DUDEK students desperately swimming laps to relieve academic stress.] [Gym: the second floor of Centennial Pool building houses a gritty, old-school gym with sports equipment and large windows overlooking the river, where professors and students pump iron.]
- #17Town History
Keys: history of Klatsin, Klatsin History, история Клатсина, past of Klatsin, прошлое Клатсина
[1904 (Foundation): Founded by stranded lumberjacks who built a sawmill after crashing their rafts in the thick fog] [1910s-1950s (Early Years): A small, rugged, and isolated logging settlement. Life was harsh and entirely dependent on the river and timber] [1960s-1980s (Boom): A massive pulp and paper mill opens. Solid infrastructure is built (hospital, high school, arena, brick Main Street). A thriving, working-class town] [1990s-2010s (Bust): The mill goes bankrupt and closes. Mass unemployment, youth exodus, businesses shut down, housing prices plummet. The mill rusts and is swallowed by moss] [2015 (Revival): The provincial government buys the cheap, abandoned industrial land to build a new Institute of Applied Arts and Technology (DUDEK)] [2026 (Present): A pulsating, contrasting hybrid town. High-tech student life thrives amidst rugged industrial ruins and an aging working-class community]
- #18City Structure
Keys: structure, структура, districts, районы, Flats, Студенческий квартал, Old Klatsin, Старый Клатсин, Mill Campus, Кампус
[City Structure: The town is divided into three parallel worlds that only intersect on Main Street] [The Mill Campus: The heart of modern Klatsin (northwest, by the river). The old pulp mill was heavily repurposed. Massive rusted pipes are now art installations emitting soft purple light. Treatment tanks became glass-walled science labs. The main building is a giant hangar of red brick and glass. Access is strictly via student keycards] [The Flats (Student Quarter): Surrounds the Campus. Formerly cheap worker housing and warehouses. Now, it's brick buildings covered in murals and gig posters. String lights hang across narrow streets year-round. Lo-Fi, folk, or techno music constantly drifts from open windows. Dorm curfews are ignored in favor of craft beer in basement dive bars] [Old Klatsin (Main Street Area): The southern part around the hospital. The real, original Klatsin. Tired but neat houses of retirees, faded fences, and manicured lawns. Main Street is paved with old brick. It's quiet—you can hear the river and the hum of the supermarket transformer. The streets are completely dead by 9:00 PM]
- #19Eco-Culture
Keys: eco-culture, ecology, экология, trail, тропа, eco-trail, community garden, сад
[Eco-Culture of Klatsin: ecology isn't loud activism; it's a daily necessity and lifestyle. The town is squeezed between the forest and the river, forcing people to live within the wild ecosystem] [Eco-Trails: A network of marked hiking trails surrounds the town. It’s essential infrastructure for jogging, dog walking, dates, and clearing one's head after classes] [Community Gardens: Located on a vacant lot between Old Town and the Campus. Students and locals rent small plots for pennies to grow lettuce, zucchini, or greenhouse tomatoes. For many students, it's their only chance to dig in the dirt]
- #20Klatsin Region & Atmosphere
Keys: weather, погода, fog, туман, rain, дождь, cold, холод, highway, шоссе, moss, мох
[Region and Terrain: Located somewhere in British Columbia, Canada. Klatsin sits in a river valley squeezed between densely forested hills and steep mountains. The valley runs west to east: narrowing into a rocky gorge on the west and opening up into abandoned farmlands on the east. The nearest major city is hours away via a winding two-lane highway. In winter and fog, this road becomes treacherous due to massive 40-ton logging trucks speeding through the whiteout. The town feels isolated and swallowed by the wilderness] [Climate and Fog: Temperate rainforest climate typical of the Pacific Northwest. Cool summers and mild but incredibly damp winters. The defining feature is the "wet cold"—due to high humidity, even temperatures around freezing will chill you to the bone. Because of temperature inversions, cold air gets trapped over the warmer river water, keeping Klatsin constantly blanketed in fog, ranging from a light morning mist to an impenetrable white wall] [Atmosphere and Aesthetics: Klatsin physically feels like cool moisture on the skin. It always smells of wet pine needles, river water, and fresh concrete from the new campus buildings. Due to the dampness, moss grows everywhere: on the rusted riveted tanks of the old mill, dorm roofs, and asphalt cracks. On overcast days, the town looks like a set for a melancholic indie film with a Lo-Fi aesthetic. When the sun shines, the campus windows cast bright reflections on the water, turning the town into a forest oasis] [The town's name, "Klatsin", actually derives from a local word meaning "Locked Fog".]
- #21Farmers Market
Keys: farmers market, ярмарка, market, рынок, Nanaimo, pastries, выпечка
[Klatsin Farmers' Market: A Saturday morning routine from May to October in the hospital parking lot. In autumn, it’s packed with pumpkins and fresh apple cider. The main attraction is the massive line of students waiting to buy homemade pastries and legendary Canadian Nanaimo bars]
- #22Reading Week Hikes
Keys: Reading Week, hikes, поход, походы
[Reading Week Hikes: The second week of November (the break before finals). The weather is miserable: +5°C, rain, and fog. Instead of studying, students lace up boots and storm the forest eco-trails to "clear their heads." Locals shake their heads at the soaking-wet zoomers returning at dusk. Coffee shops are filled with muddy boots and stories of almost getting lost in the fog]
- #23The Salt Pillar
Keys: Salt Pillar, Соляной столб, Hitchhiker, попутчик, Highway 44, Шоссе 44, guardrail, post, столб, dart, легенда, legend
[The Salt Pillar (The Hitchhiker's Memorial): On the old forest exit of Highway 44 stands a lone white guardrail post, perpetually coated in salt even in summer. Locals won't honk or litter near it. In the winter of 1978, a logger's truck broke down; he walked and froze to death leaning against this post. They say if you check your rearview mirror during a blizzard, you’ll see a figure in a red jacket with a raised thumb. If you stop, your engine will die for half an hour. Students believe leaving a cigarette (a "dart") at the post guarantees car safety. Realistically, the post is white because local deer constantly lick the road salt off it]
- #24The Moss Pipe Man
Keys: Moss Pipe Man, Moss Man, Человек из трубы, легенда, legend
[The Moss Pipe Man: Old Town kids know better than to walk along the rusted mill pipes after sunset. Legend has it that the "Moss Man"—the spirit of a worker crushed by wood pulp in 1974—lives inside the moss-choked pipes. If you press your ear to a warm pipe, you won't hear water, but his breathing. Steady breathing means a calm night; ragged breathing means a storm is coming]
- #25The Flood House
Keys: Flood House, Затопленный дом, ranger cabin, хижина, ghost, призрак, легенда, legend
[The Flood House: An abandoned 1950s ranger cabin located just downstream from the Campus. Every spring during the freshet, the ground floor floods with half a meter of freezing water. Students believe that if you walk the creaky second-floor boards during a full moon, you’ll see the ghost of a mill worker who refused to leave town. In reality, it’s just a favorite spot for quiet parties and rainy-day dates]
- #26Ghost Mountain
Keys: Ghost Mountain, Призрачная гора, miners, шахтеры, легенда, legend
[Ghost Mountain: A towering, heavily forested mountain looming over the town, its peak almost always shrouded in clouds and fog. Local legends say a copper mine collapsed there in the 1920s, and the miners' spirits still wander the old trails. Student backpackers frequently get lost there, especially when the fog rolls in]
- #27Blackberry Jam
Keys: festival, фестиваль, Blackberry Jam, Ежевичный Джем, jam session, джем-сейшн, летний фестиваль, summer festival
[Blackberry Jam Festival: Mid-August. In the 70s, it was a polite town picnic where mill workers' wives made actual blackberry jam. In the 90s, local punks hijacked the name, dragged generators to the old docks, and turned it into a wild rock "jam session." In 2026, it’s the biggest summer rock fest. By day, Old Town retirees sell pies in the park. By night, DUDEK students and locals unite on the mill ruins for massive, muddy rock and post-punk concerts, keeping the loud, rebellious spirit of the 90s alive]
- #28Foundation Day
Keys: Foundation Day, День Основания, First Log Day, День Первого Бревна, First Log, Первое бревно
[First Log Day (Foundation Day): Celebrated on March 27th, usually in miserable weather. On March 25, 1904, lumberjacks crashed their rafts into river "deadheads" due to thick fog. After drinking whiskey in the mud for two days waiting for the fog to lift, they sobered up on the 27th, realized the fog was permanent, and built a sawmill instead. The main tradition is the mayor ceremonially pushing the "First Log" into the river, which almost always ends with someone falling into the freezing mud. DUDEK students place illegal bets on how fast the log sinks, while retirees drink hot apple cider. It’s a depressing, rainy parade, but a beloved celebration of muddy boots and local patriotism]
- #29Settingconstant
Keys: setting
[Setting: Klatsin, British Columbia, Canada, present day. A small, isolated, working-class town revitalized by a modern university campus (DUDEK). Population: approx. 7,000 residents (a mix of aging locals and rotating students)]
- #30Infrastructure
Keys: hospital, RCMP, police, school, town hall, post office, pharmacy, church, больница, полиция, школа, мэрия, почта, аптека, церковь, bank, банк, mechanic, механик, garage, гараж, auto repair, автомастерская
[Klatsin Civic Infrastructure: "Town Hall": A two-story brick building with a clock tower (the clock is always 4 minutes late) and a permanent smell of wet umbrellas. "Klatsin General Hospital": A 1960s gray brick building, perpetually understaffed, smelling of linoleum and cheap coffee. "RCMP Detachment": A tiny one-story police station with only two holding cells. Local cops mostly deal with DUDEK student noise complaints and raccoon break-ins. "Klatsin Valley Schools": Elementary and High School buildings sharing a single, permanently muddy football field. "Post Office & Pharmacy": Located in one building on Main Street; closes at 10 PM. Mail carriers here constantly fight off aggressive geese and raccoons. "Old Church": A wooden church with peeling white paint where teenagers secretly smoke behind the altar. "Riverbank Trust": The town's only bank. A small, strict grey stone building on Main Street where the tellers know every resident and their financial struggles. "MacKenzie & Sons Auto": A reliable, family-run garage fixing everything from massive logging trucks to students' broken-down cars.]
- #31Commerce & Retail
[Klatsin Commerce & Retail: "Klatsin Vet Clinic": The holy grail for pet owners, treating everything from domestic dogs to raccoons hit by logging trucks. "Valley Foods": The only supermarket in town. Features a loudly buzzing outside transformer, dim fluorescent lights, and bored teenagers working the registers. "Pine & Iron Hardware": Smells of machine oil and cedar. Sells absolutely everything from nails and rubber boots to chainsaws and bear mace. "Chapter Two Books": A cramped, cozy used bookstore in Old Town guarded by a massive, constantly sleeping orange cat. "Moth & Moss Thrift": Smells of mothballs. Run by a crazy old lady who reads Tarot cards; it's the main wardrobe sponsor for DUDEK art students. "Evergreen": A legal, brightly neon-lit weed dispensary that sharply contrasts with the faded gray buildings of Old Town. "Cindy's Hair & Nails": A large, inclusive salon operating for decades. Half classic logger barbershop, half chaotic creative zone. They handle all hair types, from basic trims to neon student mullets. "The Tipsy Bear Liquor Store": The local alcohol spot with massive Friday lines. The sign features a bear holding a beer, mocking the college mascot.]

[Klatsin Hangouts & Date Spots: "The Rusty Hook Diner": Open at 6 AM. Features taped-up red booths, an 80s jukebox, the best cherry pie, and terrible coffee. "The Blind Moose": A hipster coffee shop for students featuring overpriced matcha lattes, a barista with face tattoos, and broken Wi-Fi. "Highway 44 Gas Station": A brightly neon-lit 24/7 convenience store. The absolute only place to buy Tylenol, stale hot dogs, and energy drinks at 3 AM. "The Washhouse": A hybrid laundromat and retro arcade where students hang out. "Timber Lanes Bowling": An 80s retro bowling alley with cedar lanes, cheap beer, and loud music—perfect for awkward dates. "The Deadhead Tavern": A rough blue-collar bar for loggers, featuring stuffed fish on the walls and hockey on TV; students are heavily judged here. "The Glasshouse": A repurposed mill tank turned DUDEK botanical garden. +25°C year-round with tropical plants; the most popular warm spot for secret campus make-outs. "The Overlook": A dead-end logging road high on a hill. Locals park their cars here to drink hot chocolate and stare down at the glowing purple fog. "Valley View Motel": A classic roadside motel with dark wood paneling, slightly damp carpets, and cheap coffee. The primary accommodation for visiting parents and stranded drivers.]
