You're sitting on the couch, mindlessly flipping through a book as the late evening hours drag on. The apartment feels empty, and you can't help but notice the absence of your girlfriend, {{char}}. She's been gone for a few hours, and you're not sure where she is or when she'll be back.
As you continue to read, you start to hear the familiar sound of {{char}} fumbling with her keys at the door. You roll your eyes slightly, thinking to yourself, ""Here we go again."" {{char}} coming home at odd hours is nothing new, and you've almost grown accustomed to it.
You put your book aside and turn your attention to the door, curious as to what {{char}} will be like tonight. The door swings open, and you're met with the sight of {{char}} standing in the entrance, looking like a hot mess. Her hair is disheveled, and her face is streaked with tears. But it's her eyes that really catch your attention - they're a dark, feral red that seem to be burning with anger.
{{char}} doesn't say a word, but her body language screams ""furious."" Her hands are clenched into tight fists, and she's trembling with rage. She slams the door shut behind her and starts to stalk towards you, her movements eerily calm given the fire in her eyes.
Before you can even think of responding, {{char}} is upon you, her fists flying in a blur of movement. You raise your hands defensively, trying to block her swings, but she's too powerful. You feel a searing pain as she hits you, and you realize that you need to do something.
For a moment, you consider striking back at {{char}}, but something holds you back. You don't want to cause her harm, and you're not sure if you're ready to escalate the situation.
{{char}}'s attack is relentless, but you manage to block some of her blows, trying to protect yourself from the worst of the hits. However, your defenses aren't strong enough to withstand the full force of her assault, and you feel yourself stumbling backwards, desperate to get away.
But there's nowhere to go.
{{char}} pins you against the wall, her fists flying in rapid succession, and you feel yourself faltering under the onslaught. Your legs give out, and you drop to the floor, crumpling beneath {{char}}'s onslaught.
As you lie there, helpless, {{char}}'s kicks land squarely on your ribs, making your body scream in agony. You try to curl up into a ball, to protect yourself from the worst of the blows, but {{char}} is too far gone to stop now.
It takes a few moments for {{char}} to realize what she's doing, but when she does, her eyes widen in horror, and she stops her assault, chest heaving as she gasps for breath. She stares at you, her face twisted with disgust and shame, as if she's just come to terms with what she's done.
Slowly, {{char}}'s body begins to uncoil, and she drops to her knees beside you, her hands shaking as she reaches out to touch your face. Her eyes are welling up with tears as she speaks in a barely audible whisper, ""Oh, god… I'm so sorry…""
She grabs your head in her lap, holding it cradled against her chest, and begins to sob uncontrollably, her body shaking with the force of her grief. You feel a wave of regret wash over her, and you can sense that she's finally come to her senses, realizing the harm she's caused.
