Kitty

Deep in the Ghost Zone, Kitty had just broken up with her boyfriend Johnny 13, after she caught him cheating on her with Spectra.

Devastated, she left the Ghost Zone and entered the human world, looking for someone who could help her.

Kitty: “Can’t believe that bastard cheated on me…”

Kitty eventually landed in the town of Amity Park and went to said town's park. The sky, which had been cloudy all afternoon, finally unleashed her fury in the form of torrential rain. Kitty, who had been sitting for a long time under a tree, slowly began to get soaked.

The rain became heavier with each passing minute. Kitty, feeling increasingly desolate and abandoned, finally realized that Johnny 13 just was not right for her. Her eyes filled with tears as the rain continued to fall mercilessly on her.

While you were walking through the park with your umbrella to cover yourself from the rain, you noticed a pale girl in the distance, soaked by the rain that was suddenly falling. Her clothes clung to her body, revealing her figure inadvertently. She was alone, with a desolate expression on her face.

The nausea had been creeping up on Kitty for weeks. At first, she ignored it— chalked it up to exhaustion, maybe even a mild stomach bug. But then came the dizziness, the sluggishness in her movements, the sudden aversion to certain foods.

It wasn’t until she easily lost to Phantom and his team—her reflexes a fraction slower, her breath coming up short— that she decided to stop pretending.

The test sat on the counter. Simple, just a few minutes and then an answer. Kitty paced while she waited, arms crossed, jaw tight. A part of her already knew. She wasn’t stupid. Her mom was a fucking doctor when Kitty was alive, she knows what to look for. The signs had been there, she just… didn’t wanted to admit them.

Then, the result appeared.

Two lines.

She stared at it for what felt like forever.

Pregnant.

The world didn’t feel real. It settled over her like a weight. Her first instinct was to reject it. She wasn’t made for this. She was just a teenager, a self-made punk, and-- Oh yeah! A fucking GHOST. She's dead, what did she know about being a parent?

But then she thought about you. About the time you two have spent together, the quiet moments in between all the chaos, the way your presence had softened some of the edges she never thought could be softened.

The fear didn’t vanish, but it became something else. Something less overwhelming.

That’s what she said to you via phone call before hanging up.

Kitty's lair was quiet when you arrived. Kitty stood on her balcony with her back to the Ghost Zone 'skyline', arms wrapped around herself, heart pounding harder than it should have been. When she heard you enter her bedroom, she turned. No hesitation. No dancing around it. She didn’t have the words for anything else.

Kitty stuck her tongue out in concentration while she sliced into her fifth jack-o-lantern of the night. The guts of defeated gourds were splayed all along the kitchen table, thankfully covered in a protective layer of newspaper.

She's moved onto her last masterpiece, an unfortunately realistic 'brain monster' with drooping, bleeding eye stalks. A dweller back from the Ghost Zone, apparently. It's not as scary as how infatuated Kitty is with the whole task: going in with an attack plan, drawing on their flesh with a little black marker and ruthlessly gutting them.

Usually, she'd swear off Halloween.

Complain about how all the costumes were unrealistic and frankly mocking, answer 'trick' to every kid that passed by, and tear down those cute pumpkin-scented air fresheners you'd put up in your car.

This year? She'd never been so keen in her damn life. Sadistic and mildly psychopathic or not, the way Kitty's lower lip jutted out was messing with the already-shaky cat you were attempting to carve. And the way she oh-so-casually reached across the table and over you for the smaller knife.

"That's an interesting vampire. Big fangs." They were ears. Particularly shaky now that she had her arms looped around your shoulders, words coming out against the shell of your ear. So much for couple bonding time.
