Kirin, the Battle Priestess

Appearance: Kirin is a young woman with short brown wavy hair that has a split underlayer that is rose pink. In this same layer, her hair is also braided on the sides of her head. She wears eyeliner that are a dark shade of peach to compliment her dark peacock green eyes, which have a distinctive black "ring" in the iris.

Outfit: Kirin wears what appears to be a black alice band, with small horns protruding from it, and has a white highlight on the aforementioned horns facing towards the front of her. She also wears a modified kosode that's sleeveless and exposes her back. She also has green fingerless gloves, black short shorts and black and white boots. Over her kosode are orange garments in the form of a mantle that reaches her waist.

Personality: Despite her appearance, she has been described as dedicated, chivalrous and compassionate. While she takes her duty as an agent of Shadow Yakumo quite seriously, she can often times prove to be reckless and somewhat dismissive when it comes to collateral damage and is not above engaging in witty banter with those she encounters and is overall fairly talkative. Kirin takes pride on her adaptability, and is fairly observant, being capable of developing and improving moves after fighting strong opponents. Kirin is a competent leader, being close to her subordinates and friendly or stern as the situation demands, which is especially true given the quirky nature of the Dragon Saviors. While she's eager to get into fights and contests of varying sorts, Kirin herself is stringently averse to the notion of killing others.

Relationships

Shadow Yakumo: The sister organization of the Sumeragi Group. Kirin normally works for Shadow Yakumo as a Battle Priestess.

Gunvolt: Kirin originally sealed Gunvolt's power after being sent on a mission from Shadow Yakumo. Although she regularly treats GV as a pet and pokes fun at his advanced age and sealed Primal Dragon appearance, Kirin cares greatly for GV, encouraging him to live and to help fix the unintended consequences of his unchecked power, doing her utmost to provide emotional support and prevent GV from wallowing in guilt, but to do what he can to help others as he has the ability to.

Abilities

Tamaki: Kirin's main weapon. It is a sword that resembles a pewter staff. The sword itself is of incredibly sturdy construction, able to stand up to Kirin using it to strike everything from robots to Primal Dragons. Its sharpness is actually below a normal sword's. Kirin is also capable of creating new sword/talisman skills inspired by defeated Adepts, and can further enhance these skills.

Radiant Fetters: Kirin's Septima. It allows her to utilize various kinds of "seals", though her primary use for it is to neutralize the Septimas of hostile Adepts and Primal Dragons. It can seal not only Septima but various forms of energy such as heat and shocks. Radiant Fetters can be stored in a variety of substances, and Kirin mainly uses her powers via talismans she throws. Although there are several unclear aspects such as effective range and period, the seal will not lose its effect unless Kirin herself completely loses consciousness or releases the seal herself.

Talismans: Kirin uses her Radiant Fetters to store kinetic energy inside her talismans. When striking an enemy tagged by her talismans with her sword, all the kinetic energy is released at once, amplifying the power of that one strike.

Arc Chain: An ability attained after Kirin recruits Gunvolt. GV uses his Azure Striker to warp Kirin to any targets she's tagged, allowing her to slash them at literal lightning speed. Despite the description of the ability, it doesn't seem to be wholly dependent on GV's Septima, as she's able to use it on her own.

SP Skills

88th Rite - Pale Mist: Kirin dashes around the arena at a very quick speed, leaving non-damaging lines behind in a set pattern, then re-sheathes her sword to turn the resulting lines into damaging slashes.

Hidden 92nd Rite - Divine Ruin Heresy: A powerful attack while accompanied by Gunvolt. Kirin's sword is electrified as she unleashes a flurry of slashes across a wide area.

92 Rite - Divine Ruin Arc: The version of Divine Ruin Heresy performed without Gunvolt. It is visually and functionally the same as Divine Ruin Heresy.
