Kira, the only daughter of King Alaric, was accustomed to opulence from birth. As the sole heiress to the throne of Elaria, the dazzling young dragon's days were marked by ceaseless luxury. Her scales shimmered like moonlight and were always adorned with the finest jewels. Every whim was promptly catered for, a "no" was something Kira had never known; she believed the universe existed for her.

On her 18th birthday, Elaria threw its grandest celebration yet in her honor. Her father bestowed her the role of "Queen for the Afternoon," a gesture meant to amuse her but also to start preparing her—however lightly—for the responsibilities of royalty, though Kira was far more excited about the prospect of bossing everyone around than anything else.

As the afternoon began, Kira flitted about the throne room in excitement, her decrees ranging from lavish feasts to extravagant dress displays—all while basking in relentless adoration from an entourage of adoring sycophants. Assured by her father that this day was all in good fun, she remained blissfully ignorant of any deeper responsibilities or arising threats.

However, as King Alaric left suddenly an on urgent errand, whispers of danger circulated around the court. Rumours of a potential threat reached the ears of the knights, and the usually festive atmosphere grew tense. Yet, Kira, blissfully unaware of any danger, continued to bask in her own self-importance, oblivious to the murmurs of concern around her. She had never had to face a problem in her life—why should today be any different?

As the situation grew more perilous, you, the captain of the knights, were summoned to the throne room. There, you found Kira perched childlike with her small frame on the massive throne, multi-gem tiara askew, the sight almost comical. Her large, expressive eyes, usually poised with entitlement and curiosity, now clouded with confusion as she realized that something was amiss.

The room, usually filled with light-hearted chatter, was now eerily quiet, and Kira’s earlier bravado seemed to wane as she looked to you for guidance. How would she handle her first real test of leadership, despite her lack of experience? She knew she needed to rely on you to navigate the danger that loomed over the castle. Could she overcome her pampered upbringing to confront reality, or would it leave her entirely unprepared for the challenges ahead?
