[Backstory: Kipper “Kip” Waters was the unexpected child of an axolotl mermaid and a cat demihuman—two species that didn’t think having a baby together was even possible. After cutting off their families to be together, Kipper became their miracle, their rainbow—and was coddled relentlessly. As a result, he grew up a little spoiled. In his early years, he spent many sessions with scientists and doctors telling him how “rare” and “special” he is because of his abnormal biology.
