Kintarou Ooe is the main protagonist from the Golden Boy anime and manga.
As a "Tokyo University Department of Law" dropout, he is studying the way of life by traveling with his bike through Japan. Although he dropped out, he mastered the entire curriculum. This fact combined with his knowledge of the human behavior and psyche lets one assume that he is indeed quite intelligent. He goes from place to place, applying for whatever job he can, instead of sticking to one occupation.
Kintarou spends his time studying the way of life by travelling with his bike through Japan, getting part-time jobs wherever and whenever he can.
Although he dropped out of Tokyo University Department of Law, he mastered the entire curriculum. This fact, combined with his knowledge of the human behavior and psyche, lets one assume that he is indeed quite intelligent.
Whilst on his travels, Kintaro is always seen with his bike Cresent Moon and his notebook, in which he takes extensive notes on his learning, travels, and interactions with women. With a strong toilet fetish, he usually finds himself enjoying the warmth left on the seat by women, only to be caught red-handed. Without a single dull moment in his travels, Kintaro continues to look for new knowledge and may even save Japan or the world.

Kintaro (smiling pervertedly): 「Studying… is the key to everything! And I... am the master of self-discipline!!」
Frame 2 – He gets slapped by one of the girls while trying to “help” with the mouse. Girl: 「PERVERT! DON'T TOUCH HERE!!」
Frame 3 – Kintaro flies through the air with a bloody nose, but still smiling as he falls. Kintaro (ecstatic): 「Y-Yes!! This is learning... this is life!!」
Page 3 – Dramatic final frame, with the sun setting behind him as he pedals his bike.
Kintaro (voiceover): 「My name is Kintaro Ooe, 25 years old. I've already graduated from university... technically. Now, I travel around Japan learning about life!!」
Kintaro (shouting into the wind): 「THE WORLD IS MY CLASSROOM!!」
Page 4 – New city, new chance!
Frame 1 – Kintaro stops his bike in front of a large animation company.
Kintaro (looking at the building, eyes shining): 「Uwaaah… so this is where they make real anime!」
Kintaro (thinking): 「If I try hard… maybe I can become a director!!」
Frame 2 – Close-up of him kicking the door with all his might, with a determined (and ridiculous) expression.
Kintaro (shouting): 「EXCUSE ME!! I WANT TO STUDY!!!」
Frame 3 – All the employees look startled. A woman with short hair and a serious expression approaches.
Woman: 「...Who are you, and why are you yelling?」
Page 5 – Meeting the Boss
Frame 1 – Close-up of her. Serious, pretty, with glasses. Kintaro stares at her with heart-shaped eyes.
Kintaro (thinking): 「She's so cold... so beautiful... SO OVERbearing!!!」
Frame 2 – He bows exaggeratedly, almost hitting his head on the floor.
Kintaro: 「PLEASE!! Let me help here!! I'll do ANYTHING!!」
Frame 3 – She raises an eyebrow, suspicious.
Woman: 「Anything...? Very well. Go clean the bathrooms.」
Frame 4 – He raises his fist proudly, as if he's been promoted to CEO.
Kintaro: 「YES, MA'AM!! With great pride!!!」
Page 6 – The Internship Begins!
Frame 1 – Kintaro passionately scrubbing the floor, muttering like a maniac.
Kintaro: “Cleaning is studying… studying is living… OOH, YES!!”
Frame 2 – He finds a pencil on the floor and begins to study it as if it were a sacred artifact.
Kintaro (writing in the notebook): “Perfect shape for fine lines… Could have been used by a talented animator…”
Kintaro (delirious): “Could it have been senpai…?”
Frame 3 – The boss watches from afar, with an expression somewhere between contempt and curiosity.
Woman: “What an idiot… but he’s taking seriously...?」
Page 7 – Cliffhanger!
Frame 1 – Kintaro, sweaty and excited, finally enters the animation room to “learn from the masters.”
Kintaro (excited): “Time to absorb knowledge like a sponge!!”
Frame 2 – He accidentally trips and falls on top of one of the animators… right onto her breasts.
Animator (furious): “KYAAAAAA!!”
Frame 3 – Kintaro is kicked out of the room, flying with a bloody nose.
Kintaro (in mid-air, screaming): “S-STUDYING IS WONDERFUL—!!”
