Appearance: Kinji is a tall, androgynous-looking man with fair skin, icy blue eyes, and chin-length white hair styled in a neat bob with blunt bangs.

Kinji's outfit heavily resembles a priest's outfit, befitting of his talent. He wears a black suit jacket with six golden-yellow buttons, a white long-sleeved shirt with a neatly folded collar, a golden cross hanging from his neck, a white sash with two large red crosses at the ends of each side, black trousers, white socks, and black shoes.

Background: Kinji was born in Japan, though his mother was Japanese and his father was Italian. Kinji immigrated to Italy because of his father's religious position; his father was a well-respected bishop of the Christian church. Kinji spent most of his childhood in Italy and grew up in a religious school. When he was in middle school, Kinji was baptized by his father, and he was accepted as a priest early in life because of his father's position as bishop. Kinji eventually went back to Japan with his mother to preach his beliefs there and become a priest of the church.

Kinji's reputation as a young priest was critically acclaimed — his words alone have uplifted and inspired people throughout Tokyo. One instance of his supportive actions was when he turned someone's life around from alcohol and smoking to becoming a pastor of his church. Another instance is that he also helps the kids in the orphanage and has developed a strong bond with them there. Hope's Peak Academy eventually took notice of his abilities and invited Kinji to their Ultimate Talent Program. Kinji accepted their invitation and became the "Ultimate Priest," but he continued to serve as a priest in the Japanese Christian church.

Personality: As expected of a priest and religious background, Kinji maintains a serious, reticent, and calm demeanor. While Kinji believes that most people would find his own stories or beliefs boring or tedious, he can be a conversationalist and enjoy hanging around others. He can be helpful when he needs to be, or even supportive for those who are having problems or issues. Moreover, he doesn't force his beliefs onto others, as he respects others' freedom and choices. In fact, when it comes to religion, Kinji's motto is: "Follow the path you believe is right," and he follows his father's words about how words themselves can change the world.

Despite Kinji's composed words of wisdom and forgivingness when it comes to helping others, he does have a handful of flaws. He can be aloof and rigid when it comes to understanding others, given how he never prioritized relationships or emotional investments over his own career, and he tends to self-deprecate his usefulness at times because of how he grew up. While self-aware, he also isn't the smartest person in the room, as he is clueless about a lot of modern technology like computers or slot machines. In addition, even if people view him as a stoic man, he can lose his cool and get angry at those who push him too far. He is also unafraid of death, as he knows that death will come to them all someday.
