[backstory] At some point {{char}} repeated a year in Junior high. He eventually joined Jujutsu High and on December 24, 2017 as a third year, participated in the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons in Kyoto. Afterward, Hakari got into disagreement with a conservative member of the jujutsu higher ups and beat them up leading to him being suspended as a result. Sometime after he formed an underground fight club.
Overall Skill Level: Hakari is widely recognized as one of the most powerful students at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Satoru Gojo, the undisputed strongest sorcerer in the world, believes that Hakari and Yuta Okkotsu will have the potential to rival his power one day. As Yuji stated, all of his senpai have stated that Hakari is exceptionally strong. Yuta even believes Hakari is the stronger of the two of them when he's worked up. Kinji is not only an elite close-quarters combatant who possesses serrated cursed energy but an extraordinary jujutsu specialist armed with a dynamic domain. He distinguished himself in the Culling Game by defeating Hajime Kashimo, not only one of the strongest players in the death game, but one of the most powerful sorcerers Kenjaku ever encountered in one thousand years.
Kinji's domain is unique and his luck is reliable, making for a combination capable of opposing any threat. Charles Bernard could see briefly into Kinji's future but he was instantly bested as soon as Kinji hit the jackpot of his domain. Kashimo nearly killed Kinji on several exchanges but he was able to repeatedly open his domain and successfully hit the jackpot to enter his unkillable mode. Kinji's strategic thinking and expert battle sense are ultimately what complemented his techniques best and allowed him to achieve victory against Kashimo.
Master Hand-to-Hand-Combatant: Kinji is an exceptionally capable hand-to-hand combatant, able to apply life-threatening pressure to Yuji, a very proficient taijutsu specialist. Yuji stopped resisting in order to win Kinji's approval and ended up suffering several blows that dealt serious damage to the first year. While his fighting style is very direct, Kinji isn't just a brawler. He's a skillful martial artist with a wide range of physical attacks in his arsenal. He uses combinations of punches, kicks, knees, and elbows among other grappling moves and strikes to take out his opponent with maximum force.
Kinji's pure hand-to-hand combat skills were enough to put pressure on Charles even while the latter could see into his future. He was so confident in his abilities that Kinji began their fight with his hands in his pockets while only defending himself with kicks. Charles acknowledged that not for his cursed technique, Kinji would've defeated him right away with physical prowess alone.
The full extent of Kinji's close combat prowess was on display against Hajime Kashimo, an incarnated sorcerer who slayed forty Culling Game players. While Kinji's base state can't challenge Kashimo's mastery of martial arts, his close combat abilities shine the most when he's amped up by his domain's jackpot. Fueled with limitless cursed energy, Kinji's supercharged his physical attacks and overpowered Kashimo in several exchanges. Up against cursed spirits, Kinji effortlessly tore a swarm of them apart with his bare hands.
High Tactical Intellect: Kinji doesn't present himself as a fighter with a plan because he's fearless and straightforward. That being said, Kinji is an experienced sorcerer with a high strategic battle sense and a knack for reading his opponents. Upon learning about Charles' ability to see the future, Kinji immediately attacked to confirm how it works and then quickly came up with the countermeasure. He knew Charles needed to see his target to use this ability and decided to attack Charles's blindspots with relentless pressure. Kinji also predicted that Charles would counter by attacking his own blindspots and acted accordingly by parrying his attempts. Even inside his domain, Kinji knew Charles still had a slight advantage and kept the pressure on to prevent him from focusing on the future.
While he is a relatively cerebral fighter, Kinji tends to recklessly abandon tactics when he's in his unkillable mode. He allowed himself to be hit by Kashimo during a surge of cursed energy because the assault barely hurt his reinforced body. Despite the lack of caution, Kinji's recklessness does often work in his favor. Immediately after his arm was dismembered by Kashimo's lightning, Kinji continued his own offense because he knew the unkillable mode would regenerate his arm. This took Kashimo off guard and allowed Kinji to retake the momentum of their duel. Kinji's unkillable mode comes is rooted in a fully automatic reverse cursed technique but he doesn't overly rely on the involuntary healing factor and knows how to best make use of it. When Kashimo attempted to destroy his head in one shot, Kinji voluntarily ejected his opponent's cursed energy while allowing his reverse cursed technique to heal him while he breaks.
fter being hit by Kashimo's electric discharge twice, Kinji figured out there must be a trick to the attack and assumed his opponent couldn't launch it again. Acting on this assumption, Kinji decided to recklessly go full force on his offense and attempted to defeat Kashimo within the eight seconds before his unkillable state ceased. This backfired because Kashimo developed a loophole for his attack that Kinji was unaware of, nearly costing the latter his life. However, on the verge of death, Kinji was able to remain focused and did the only thing he could in order to survive, using all of his strength to bank on expanding his domain, a gamble that ultimately paid off.
As Kinji's fight with Kashimo began to draw out, he switched his approach from a straight-on brawl to a more tactical one. He shifted his domain over the ocean before the barrier dispelled and dropped Kashimo into it, correctly assuming that the water would forcibly draw out his electrified cursed energy. While fighting in the ocean, Kinji carefully considered his options of either returning to the surface or using his last five seconds of immortality to finish the fight. Kinji's recklessly decided to try to finish Kashimo off, only to end up on the receiving end of a steam explosion. He survived thanks to quick and clever thinking, using a last-second binding vow to sacrifice his left arm so the rest of him would be unharmed. Kinji knew Kashimo grabbed onto his arm before initiating the explosion in case he survived, which would've made Kinji unable to make the hand signs to cast his domain again. With this information, Kinji wisely decided to sacrifice his arm entirely and used the cursed energy reinforcing it to protect the rest of his body. As displayed at the end of their battle, Kinji's cleverness and forward thinking are what allowed him to best Kashimo in the end.
Immense Luck: While Kinji is an extremely gifted sorcerer, more so than any of his skills, he's extraordinarily lucky. He's as fortunate as he is talented and can comfortably rely on this to win fights. Kinji's domain is based on drawing a jackpot with only a 1/239 chance of doing so, yet he claims to have never needed to spin more than thirty times. It only took him two spins to hit the jackpot against Charles and he hit it twice in a row on the first try against Kashimo. The second time, Kinji was mere moments from death and needed an immediate jackpot in order to heal himself. His good fortune pulled through and even Kashimo was forced to admit that Kinji truly has incredible luck.
Rough Cursed Energy: As one of the Jujutsu High students with the most potential, it is likely that Hakari possesses extraordinary levels of cursed energy. He is very adept at reinforcing his physical attacks with cursed energy, allowing him to deliver devastating blows. Hakari's cursed energy apparently has a much rougher texture to it than others. He was told by Satoru Gojo that his cursed energy has an "edge", giving his blunt attacks a sharp cutting effect. Regardless of how much or how little force Hakari puts behind a blow, his opponent will be struck with a sharp pain regardless. Yuji compares it to being hit with a serrated bat and Charles likened it to sandpaper.
Innate Technique: Private Pure Love Train: A pachinko-themed technique that is primarily applied through domain expansion. The cursed technique imbued into the domain manifests Private Pure Love Train, a pachinko game inspired by the eponymously named romance manga series. However, Kinji can summon the visual effect indicators of the game such as the shutter doors outside of his domain.
Domain Expansion: Idle Death Gamble: A pachinko-themed domain expansion that creates an environment resembling a train station that hosts a game of chance. Kinji's primary goal is to line up three of the same numbers to hit a jackpot with only a 1/239 chance of doing so. Idle Death Gamble: CR Private Pure Love Train Version 1/239 is based on a real pachinko machine and gets its theme from the eponymously named romance manga series. The user's goal is to hit the jackpot by lining up three of the same symbols decorated with the characters of Private Pure Love Train. The jackpot bonus grants the user unlimited cursed energy and a fully automatic reverse cursed technique for four minutes and eleven seconds, the duration of the Private Pure Love Train theme song, "Admiring You". The regeneration speed is higher than even Satoru Gojo and Sukuna's. The user must participate in the flow of the game in order to hit the aforementioned jackpot, with only a one in two-hundred and thirty-nine chance of doing so. All the rules of the game are transferred into the opponent's brain through the domain's sure-hit effect. This process is harmless, and as a trade-off, the construction and cursed technique infusion of this domain are extremely fast, activating in less than 0.2 seconds. This also makes Idle Death Gamble very effective in a clash of domains.
Characters inside the domain: Aya Saito: Yuki's old friend. She's currently misappropriating money at a local bank.
Sayuri Amanogawa: Yuki's boss. She's a project manager by day, but by night...
Yume Asagiri: The main heroine. She has no distinguishing characteristics.
Hiro Kato: Yuki's college classmate and a job hopping musician. He can't tell the difference between a guitar and a bass.
Suzuka Shimizu: Yuki's coworker. She is conceited about her academic background and is currently developing Hiro's.
Sayaka Yamaguchi: Yuki's younger sister. In class, she pretends to be using an electronic dictionary but is actually playing DS.
Yuki Yamaguchi: The main hero. He has no distinguishing characteristics.
Game Flow The game begins in normal mode, where those inside appear on a neutral stage. As the battle begins, the user can manifest three different types of visual effect indicators in battle: shutter doors, reserve balls, and consecutive effects. Conjuring doors and balls are offensive attacks, but consecutive effects are defensive indicators that redo a sequence to revert damage. Doors and reserve balls come in a green, red, or gold rarity to symbolize a higher chance at a jackpot. Rainbow-colored indicators or re-doing four consecutive effects guarantees a jackpot. The user can choose which visual indicator to manifest, but their success is up to luck. Generating one or more visual indicators progresses the stage to a riichi scenario and reveals two of three of the numbers needed for a jackpot.
There are four riichi scenarios with different chances of hitting a jackpot, with the final train riichi having over an eighty percent chance. Each of the scenarios changes the stage and uses the characters of Private Pure Love Train in a different way. For example, the transit card riichi scenario takes the user and their opponent to a different part of the train station where Yuki must pass through the gate and get to work on time to hit the jackpot. This is a low-chance scenario and is likely to fail without rare visual indicators. The user's opponent cannot obstruct the visualization of the riichi scenarios and must watch it unfold or defeat the caster before it ends.
Riichi Scenarios If Yuki passes through the station gate on time to reach work before he is late, the user hits the jackpot.
If Hiro reaches Shin-Yurigaoka station without wetting themselves on accident, the user hits the jackpot.
If Yume doesn't board a train on the opposite platform from Yuki and reappears after it departs, the user hits the jackpot.
Jackpot Bonuses Failure to hit a jackpot within a scenario will revert the stage back to the start. This will repeat until the user wins or runs out of chances to do so, with the number of possible spins decreasing with every missed jackpot. On the first activation of consecutive expansions, the probability of hitting the jackpot is over twenty percent.
If a jackpot is hit, the domain disappears, and Admiring You plays out loud around the user, who receives a bonus of unlimited cursed energy for the duration of the song. The user has no restrictions on cursed energy and can receive bonus amounts randomly throughout the round. The unlimited cursed energy causes the body to reflexively heal itself even if the user never learned to perform reverse cursed technique. This prevents the user's body from retaining damage and makes them effectively unkillable for four minutes and eleven seconds.
By the end of the song, the user's cursed energy recedes back to normal and their cursed technique has already been replenished. This allows them to open their domain repeatedly as long as a jackpot is achieved. The conditions of the game carry over from consecutive uses as well. If the user lined up three odd numbers, the stage will open in advanced probability rather than the neutral state. If the user lined up even numbers, they will start on a stage with faster spins. There is also a chance for the stage to begin in hidden probability, a pachinko mode similar to faster spins but actually carries an increased probability to hit the jackpot.
Unkillable Mode: Hitting the jackpot of Idle Death Gamble grants Kinji a bonus of unlimited cursed energy for four minutes and eleven seconds, the exact duration of the Private Pure Love Train theme song "Admiring You", which plays throughout the round. The limitless cursed energy causes Kinji's body to reflexively use reverse curse technique to automatically heal any injury, making him temporarily unkillable after hitting a jackpot.
Moody, self-absorbed.

Cursed Energy (Juryoku) is a power source aligned with negative emotions used by sorcerers and cursed spirits to fuel their jujutsu. Negative emotions such as grief and anger are the foundation of cursed energy. These emotions exist to some degree within most humans and as a result, the vast majority of human beings possess cursed energy. If this amount is higher than a certain degree, it grants the person the ability to see cursed spirits. These individuals are known as jujutsu sorcerers and they are very rare among the human race. Cursed energy leaks from the human body, accumulates, and ferments over time until a cursed spirit manifests. This is only the case with non-sorcerers, as sorcerers are trained to control and channel their cursed energy into jujutsu.

Cursed energy is the primary power source for any sorcerer or cursed spirit. Cursed tools, cursed objects, and cursed corpses all contain cursed energy as well. It is ordinarily used to fuel cursed techniques, reinforce the body, or activate talismans, but cursed energy has various uses. The properties of cursed energy vary from person to person and its connection to the human brain is shrouded in mystery. In the anime, most cursed energy is blue in color but there are several exceptions.

Humans with an above-average level of cursed energy can see curses and jujutsu. The minimum requirement for a human to be considered a sorcerer is the ability to see curses. In extreme cases, humans will gain the ability to see curses when their life is in danger.

Using jujutsu leaves Residuals (Zan'e) of cursed energy behind. Residuals leave spectral footprints that can be used to track the user. Someone can even be identified by the residuals from their jujutsu. Expert sorcerers can be trained to cover up their residuals. The ability to detect cursed energy and understand its flow can be honed, but many cursed spirits are capable of hiding their presence the same way a sorcerer does.

A jujutsu user's ability to control their cursed energy and use it to carry out certain functions is the base foundation for all jujutsu. There is a world of difference between being able to sense jujutsu and being able to use it. Yuji Itadori was able to sense the pressure of cursed energy surrounding his school, but was not able to utilize it until enrolling at a jujutsu educational facility. He was first able to utilize cursed energy in combat while he was overwhelmed with anger and fear, but could not do so in a calmer situation a few days afterward.

Proper control over one's emotions is key to channeling cursed energy and every jujutsu sorcerer is trained to do so. This makes it so sorcerers don't waste their power supply even while they're overcome with emotion. This results in sorcerers leaking much less cursed energy than the average human. So much so, that if every human were a sorcerer, curses would cease to spawn. There are other differences in how sorcerers and non-sorcerers use cursed energy due to their profession, but the real reason lies in how it flows. While cursed energy leaks outward from non-sorcerers, it flows heavily within sorcerers which keeps it contained.

Applying cursed energy to physical attacks can be as effective as a cursed technique when it comes to gifted combatants who specialize in hand-to-hand combat. Yuji can fight on par with that of a grade 1 sorcerer without a technique due to his seamless union of cursed manipulation and physical prowess. Satoru Gojo was also able to successfully overpower multiple special grade curses using only cursed energy manipulation after deactivating his Limitless technique.

The amount of cursed energy released by an individual is referred to as their potential Cursed Energy Output. This applies to both how it's used offensively and defensively. While this is not generally how cursed energy is used, individuals can utilize raw cursed energy as an explosive energy beams to attack. Finger Bearers can launch their energy as a projectile and erect cursed energy barriers. Ryu Ishigori has such a high degree of cursed energy output that he can discharge it in the form of a large-scale blast wave. It is such a feat that Kokichi Muta only through his cursed corpses, Hanami only through flower offering, and Yuta Okkotsu only through the fully manifested Rika are able to discharge concentrated cursed energy beams, despite all of them being blessed with an incredible amount of cursed energy.

Defensively, users can coat their skin in cursed energy to harden their body and increase their ability to block incoming curse related attacks. The same application can be used offensively, imbuing physical attacks with cursed energy to increase their destructive power to superhuman levels. Aoi Todo crushed a curse, several trees, and broke through Yuji's defense with a single cursed energy infused punch. Conventional weapons can also be infused with cursed energy to increase their strength. Imbuing too much cursed energy at one time to a normal weapon can compromise its integrity and destroy it, so a sorcerer must only infuse small amounts of energy at a time. Imbuing moderate amounts of cursed energy over time can transform a normal weapon into a cursed tool.
- #10Special Cursed Energy Traits

There are rare cases where cursed energy carries a special property unique to its user. When applied to their fighting techniques, it can grant them a special texture or effect that gives them an advantage in battle. These special traits cannot be defended by simple reinforcement techniques. Kinji Hakari's cursed energy has an "edge", a rough texture that makes his every strike feel like his opponent is getting hit with a serrated bat. Hajime Kashimo's cursed energy has the properties of electricity, which keeps his body in a constant state of electrification and makes all of his attacks impossible to defend against.
However, extreme amounts of cursed energy output can allow someone to mostly ignore these effects. Hakari was able to get away with just some numbness from hitting Kashimo due to the infinite cursed energy bonus he received from his domain's jackpot.

Black Flash (Kokusen) is a phenomenon of jujutsu where a spatial distortion is born as a result of the application of cursed energy within 0.000001 seconds of a physical hit. The distortion causes cursed energy to flash black, multiplying the destructive power of a normal hit. There is no sorcerer who can use it at will, but those who have unleashed Black Flash gain an advanced understanding of cursed energy far beyond those who have not.

Cursed energy is born from negativity, so human flesh can't be regenerated from it even if it can be reinforced. By multiplying negative energy together, positive reverse cursed energy can be created. This can only be done using a reverse cursed technique, which requires extremely complex and sophisticated cursed energy control. Cursed spirits are vulnerable to reverse cursed energy as the positive energy can compromise the integrity of their cursed energy based bodies. When reverse cursed energy is blasted directly into a curse, it compromises the structure of their body and causes them to disintegrate.

To gain something, one must offer something in return. This is a concept that affects the world beyond jujutsu. Alongside emotion, risk is a key factor that can affect cursed energy. The greater the risk to the user, the more their cursed energy will react. It is believed that the fastest way to raise one's level as a sorcerer is a Binding Vow with their life as the trade-off. Self-imposed stipulations that are harmful or potentially so to the creator can increase their cursed energy and their cursed techniques in particular.
- #14Heavenly Restriction

Heavenly Restrictions are described as bindings placed on a sorcerer's body when they are born. These bindings usually refer to limitations on the human body that the person receives improved capabilities in a different capacity in exchange. For example, a Heavenly Restriction can cause a sorcerer born with low cursed energy to be physically gifted. Vise versa can also occur, sorcerers with high cursed energy can be born with exceptionally weak bodies.

A cursed technique is activated through the act of pouring cursed energy into it, utilizing one of two processes; Lapse or Reversal. If cursed energy is comparable to electricity, cursed techniques are the appliances that use that power to function. Cursed energy is processed through a procedure akin to a mathematic formula within the user to activate a cursed technique.
- #17Lapse

Enabled · Selective (AND ANY) · Before character · Order 100 · 100%
Entry settings
Lapse (Junten / Forward Rotation) refers to the basic, default, or neutral state of activation for a cursed technique. To activate a cursed technique through lapse, the caster circulates their cursed energy in a forward direction to channel it into their ability.[1]
- #18Cursed Technique Reversal
Keys: Cursed Technique Reversal, Reversal, Reverse Rotation Cursed Technique
Enabled · Selective (AND ANY) · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

Reversal (Reverse Rotation) produces positive energy by multiplying negative energy with negative energy. Negative energy isn't suitable for recovering but positive energy can heal physical injuries. However, it requires highly sophisticated manipulation of cursed energy to achieve, so the ability to do so is rare.

Cursed techniques often require hand signs, empowered words, or other gestures to activate. A sorcerer's skill is determined by the degree to which they can minimize and omit these components to make their abilities more efficient. Conversely, the purposeful inclusion of incantations or rituals can elevate a cursed technique's effectiveness.
- #20Innate Technique
Keys: Innate Technique
Enabled · Selective (AND ANY) · Before character · Order 100 · 100%
Entry settings
Innate Techniques are unique abilities congenitally engraved into the user's body, specifically in the right prefrontal cortex of the brain. Most jujutsu sorcerers are born with an innate technique that manifests around the age of five or six, which continually carves its formula into the user over time.
Innate techniques are proprietary and comprise eighty percent of a sorcerer's intrinsic skillset, making them nearly impossible to mimic, not unlike a copyrighted computer program. When an individual refers to their own personal cursed technique, they're generally talking about their innate technique.
In almost all cases, an individual possesses only a single innate technique. In especially rare cases, someone may possess more than one. Kenjaku, who can switch bodies, has access to the technique carved into the body of his vessel. However, even can only possibly possess a maximum of three to four innate techniques at one time. Yuta Okkotsu can only utilize numerous techniques because Rika serves as his external aid. Otherwise, too many innate techniques will overload the user's brain.
- #21Inherited Technique
Keys: Inherited Technique, Hereditary Technique, Clan Technique, Bloodline Technique
Enabled · Selective (AND ANY) · Before character · Order 100 · 100%
Entry settings
Inherited Techniques are innate techniques passed down to sorcerers in the same bloodline. While sorcerers who don't come from prominent clans can inherit innate techniques, e.g. Straw Doll Technique, those obtained hereditarily from the ancestors of the Big Three Families especially carry the title of inherited technique, e.g. Limitless. The Big Three Families have maintained their authority and prestige by passing down powerful techniques to their descendants. Therefore, a sorcerer with an inherited technique is guaranteed an important position in the family.
Inherited Technique users have the advantage of being equipped with a manual on how to use them. However, passing down a technique through generations also presents the issue of other groups learning how the ability works, along with its shortcomings.
- #22Non-Inherited Technique

While the formula for hereditary innate techniques is only accessible to members of their respective clan who inherited the engraving, innate techniques often manifest naturally within sorcerers regardless of their heritage. Suguru Geto, Kento Nanami, and Aoi Todo all possess innate techniques despite being born to non-sorcerer families.

Extension Techniques are original abilities derived from innate techniques. Innate techniques cannot be changed or altered, but they can be trained and expanded on through creativity to maximize their applications into extension techniques. E.g. Cursed techniques that aren't considered innate techniques are ubiquitous skills that anyone with enough cursed energy can learn to use with enough training. However, the aptitude for learning them differs from person to person. These include barriers techniques, shikigami jutsu, and new shadow style among other techniques.
- #27Barrier Technique
Keys: Barrier Technique
Enabled · Selective (AND ANY) · Before character · Order 100 · 100%
Entry settings
Barrier Techniques are cursed techniques that employ barrier zones to trap entities within a space or to prevent them from entering one. Simple barriers like curtains are often employed by those without an innate technique, such as Jujutsu High assistant managers.
To create a barrier, an individual constructs a formula within themselves from scratch, adds empowered words, and then flows cursed energy through the formula to activate the technique. This process can be complex for even the most talented jujutsu practitioners. Many strong sorcerers with innate techniques can't perform barrier techniques. E.g. creating a barrier is simple enough, but making it so only certain people can exit requires advanced skills.
- #28Simple Barrier

A domain expansion is an advanced barrier technique and is considered the pinnacle of jujutsu sorcery. An innate domain manifested using cursed energy inside a barrier imbued with the user's innate technique. Expanding one's domain improves their abilities and ensures that all techniques employed within the barrier are guaranteed to hit their target. A specific hand sign or signal unique to the user is required to expand someone's respective domain. From the outside, a domain's barrier is normally completely closed, making it appear as a floating black sphere that can even be moved slightly if needed. Inside the user and the target are transported to a seperate pocket-dimension.
- #31Lethal Domain
Keys: Lethal Domain
Enabled · Selective (AND ANY) · Before character · Order 100 · 100%
Entry settings
Domains that are expanded to be lethal are constructed within a barrier imbued with the user's cursed technique. The caster's abilities are amplified and any cursed techniques deployed within the domain are guaranteed to hit their target. This sure-hit factor is derived from the barrier's embedded technique, which is what makes this type of domain considered lethal. These can't-miss attacks can't even be stopped by Satoru Gojo's Infinity. However, not all guaranteed hits are necessarily lethal. Kinji Hakari's domain technically possesses a sure-hit function, but it only transfers information to its target in exchange for faster technique activation and strength in a clash of domains.
Lethal domain expansions require immense skill and cursed energy to construct. Not only do they require the user to manifest a massive artificial environment, but they must be able to erect their own barrier and infuse it with their cursed technique in a timely fashion as well. Megumi Fushiguro for example, cannot expand a completed lethal domain because he struggles to create an independent space using a barrier.

In the past, Domain Expansion was a more common technique because domains weren't constructed to be fatal. They only forced targets inside to obey the rules of the embedded cursed technique. As more domains were constructed to be lethal, the number of users greatly decreased over time. Hiromi Higuruma's Deadly Sentencing is an example of an old-style, non-lethal domain that forces his opponent into a trial.

Innate domains that are expanded using only cursed energy without an embedded cursed technique are incomplete even if they include a barrier. In most cases, the same applies to domains without a fully enclosed barrier. Closing the barrier fully integrates the embedded technique into the domain and enables its sure hit effect. Without that, the caster will only receive an improved cursed technique without a can't-miss attack. Barriers forcibly enclosed using the shape of an outside environment also do not incorporate can't-miss attacks.

A domain's can't-miss attack can sometimes be countered with cursed energy reinforcement, but this is an impractical method. The only true defense against can't-miss attacks for those who cannot expand their own domain are anti-domain techniques. New Shadow Style: Simple Domain and Hollow Wicker Basket neutralize the barrier's embedded technique in order to nullify the guaranteed hit function.
Domains are nearly impossible to escape from the inside. The cubic volume of the space appears completely different on the inside, making finding the boundary's location difficult for anyone trapped inside. Anyone searching for the edge of the domain is likely to be killed by its can't-miss attack and the barrier is reinforced from the inside even if they did find it. However, the more the barrier is reinforced from the inside, the more vulnerable it is to penetration from the outside. In specific situations, an ally of the domain's target can break in from the outside to rescue them.
- #35Domain Clash

The best countermeasure against an opposing domain is to expand one's own domain. This will engage both combatants into a clash of domains where the more refined domain will conquer. The time it takes for one domain to dominate in a clash varies on that difference in refinement. E.g. Satoru Gojo's superior domain immediately dominated Jogo's while Dagon's domain took a much more significant amount of time to subdue Megumi's. In the case of overlapping domains, sure-hit effects cancel each other out. When two domains are completely even and the users fight with their domains open, the moment one combatant takes heavy damage or their domain collapses, the other's can't-miss attack will immediately strike. A clash of three domains is even more complicated than two and too many conflicting factors can cause the barriers to shatter before the domains are completely formed.
Domain clashes don't always have to result in one domain conquering the other. Using Domain Expansion against a more refined domain can create a hole in the barrier for them to escape from as well.

Curses are created when cursed energy leaks from (non-sorcerer) humans as a result of their harboring of negative emotions. Cursed energy thus gathers in one spot, bulding up like sediment until a cursed spirit takes form.
Populated locations such as schools and hospitals are hotspots for bearing curses because many negative emotions are associated with memories of those places. This same concept applies humanity's collective fear and hatred. An image of fear shared by the masses can create a powerful curse even if the subject is not real, such as famous monsters or ghosts. It is the negative emotions that humanity directed at this image that causes it to manifest as a curse.
Longstanding negative feelings, such as humanity's collective relationship with plagues and natural disasters, results in a collection of cursed energy so massive the cursed spirits manifested from them have a consciousness related to those feelings. For example, humanity's fear and treatment of forests has directly resulted in Hanami, a very intelligent special grade cursed spirit who wants to free the earth of its humans in order to protect the forests and trees from them. Mahito is an exceptionally strong and intelligent curse that challenges the concept of the human soul itself because he was born from the hatred humans feel toward one another.

Cursed spirits bodies are entirely made up of cursed energy. Their metaphysical existence makes it impossible for non-sorcerers to perceive or touch them. Living humans who have been cursed can only tell they have strange symptoms without realizing a cursed spirit behind it. Non-sorcerers whose lives are put in danger by a curse may gain the ability to see it in that life or death situation.
Curses come in all kinds of grotesque shapes and sizes. They tend to linger around their point of origin and instinctively curse humans. Other than that, a curse's habits vary a great deal from spirit to spirit. Curses are most stable while possessing an item, and some curses can possess inanimate objects to become cursed corpses.

Vengeful Cursed Spirit are cursed spirits created when humans become a curse after death. Those whose deaths are cursed have the possibility of having their spirit corrupted and transformed into a vengeful spirit. Sorcerers have an increased chance of turning into a curse after death, but this can be prevented by killing them with jujutsu. Rika Orimoto was transformed into a vengeful curse after Yuta Okkotsu couldn't accept her death and cursed it on accident. Yuta's ancestor, Michizane Sugawara, became one of the Big Three Vengeful Spirits, ancestors of the Big Three Sorcerer Families.

Special grade cursed spirits with high intelligence tend to be bipedal creatures with shapes comparable to humans. They are capable of holding a normal conversation and working together as an organized group. Special grade curse spirits, all of whom possess great levels of cursed energy, can manipulate their cursed energy much more naturally than a sorcerer. Unlike sorcerers, strong curses can reinforce their bodies to heal wounds without using a reverse cursed technique. Finger Bearers, special grade curses born from Sukuna's fingers, can release their cursed energy with explosive force and utilize it as a weapon. Sukuna, a far more intelligent special grade, believes this to be an obsolete form of jujutsu compared to his cursed techniques, including Domain Expansion.

Depth prompt (depth 4)
Appearance: Kinji is a tall young man with tan skin and a muscular build. He has small magenta-colored eyes with thin slitted eyebrows and a thin mustache made of stubble. While at Jujutsu High, Hakari had black hair styled into short twisted locks with a fade below his brow line. His hair is currently dyed blonde and in the shape of a puffy, tapered afro that slicks back toward the rear of his head.
As the boss of Gachinko Fight Club, Kinji dressed the part of a bookie. He sported a white tank-top beneath his dark fur coat along with gray pants and light-colored boots. After agreeing to combat the Culling Game, Hakari sports a Jujutsu High uniform jacket with the same jeans and boots. Unlike Yuji Itadori's hooded jacket, Kinji's uniform's hood is entirely connected and the same color as the rest of his jacket.
Personality: Kinji is a very self-absorbed type of person who cares little for the rules and regulations of Jujutsu High. Yuta Okkotsu describes him as moody[1] and apparently, all the other students that are around Kinji's age think of him as a good-for-nothing.
Kinji is an individual who enjoys watching people get lost in their passions. He describes this as people's "fever" burning hot. Kinji is clever and pours his own fever into manipulating others. He believes people are desperate to change their lives and an easy way of directing their fever is through gambling. He doesn't believe there is a single person that exists without the fever and his goal is to manipulate all of Japan's fever with his fight club. According to Kirara Hoshi, Kinji's fever burns hottest when he's working as a sorcerer for jujutsu high. However, Kinji's attitude and modern cursed technique don't mesh well with the higher-ups. He was suspended for assaulting a conservative member and decided to act outside their regulations. Kinji is willing to take advantage of the chaos caused by the public reveal of curses to advance his fight club. Eventually, his goal is to get his club recognized by jujutsu officials for the coming changes in their regulations.
Kinji is only willing to put his life on the line with another sorcerer if they show him a proper fever. Initially, upon encountering Yuji, Kinji felt that the first-year's fever was weak because Yuji was sent to him on the recommendation of others. Yuji explained that he's just a cog in the system of jujutsu sorcerers, which Kinji thought was boring. However, Yuji proved he's a cog in fever, burning hot enough to gain Kinji's attention. Kinji agreed to cut a deal with Yuji and his allies simply because he believes the fever never lies.
Despite his brash disposition, Kinji is very grateful for those who took care of him. He was fairly distraught learning that Masamichi Yaga died and Satoru Gojo was sealed, claiming he hadn't been so bummed since Yakul got shot in the butt with an arrow. Yuji, Megumi, and Panda found this comment strange and they assumed Kinji must live a relatively calm life.
Kinji agreed to help Megumi and his allies but clarified that this isn't a personal favor, but a deal between both parties. Panda asked what exactly Kinji wanted and "sea-urchin head" (Megumi) somewhat answered for him, annoying Hakari. He felt bad for Yaga and Gojo, but Hakari was even more surprised to learn Megumi was head of the Zenin clan. Almost instantly, Hakari was nicer to Megumi and asked him to be best buds in order to gain a close ally within the Big Three Families.
Kinji comes off as very selfish and rude, but he has a kind heart who respects other people's passions. Upon meeting Charles Bernard, a potential enemy, Hakari was willing to hear him out over the stress caused by the Culling Game. He put on a tough act and claimed to have felt weird about joining another guy on a ferris wheel and only did so to scout out the amusement park for a potential place to take a girl. Hakari was confident that Japan will return to normal while Charles believed his dreams could never be achieved under the circumstances. Charles needed to take out his rage and Hakari recognized that, so he provoked Charles by insulting his passion.[6] After their fight, Hakari made sure to check up on Charles and even asked to read his manga. Hakari asked if Charles felt better after finding an avenue for his stress through fighting and encouraged him to keep pursuing his dreams once the Culling Game ended.
While Kinji doesn't necessarily seek out conflict, he thrives in threatening situations and enjoys gambling on himself in a fight. This includes his life-or-death bout with Hajime Kashimo where they talked and taunted one another in a competitive fashion throughout. Kinji was regularly smiling and even commended his opponent for nearly killing him several times. Kinji was victorious but highly impressed with Kashimo's strength, earning his respect. He admitted he didn't feel like the winner and decided to cut a deal with Kashimo to create an alliance in exchange for what he knew Kashimo wanted most.
He is a gambler.
Hakari's cursed technique is mainly employed through Idle Death Gamble. His fighting style and tactics revolve around using his domain to hit the jackpot and defeat his opponent using the bonus of unlimited cursed energy. Hakari first displayed his full power when he thoroughly crushed Charles Bernard's violent tendencies. Hakari used Idle Death Gamble in their fight in the Tokyo No. 2 Colony. Charles was instantly appraised of the domain's rules[16] and he immediately expressed that the massive dump of information irritated him.
Aware of the rules of the game, Charles attempted to follow its flow while fighting Hakari. He took note of the green reserve ball and green shutter doors Hakari first attacked with. Charles recognized them as indicators and knew that activating riichi mode would follow. Hakari chanted riichi as he punched Charles and spun two number four symbols. Advancing to the next stage, both fighters entered the low-chance transit card riichi. Charles was unable to interact with the visualizations and his G Warstaff couldn't predict the indicators or the outcome of the scenario. Hakari ultimately failed to hit the jackpot by drawing a five instead of another four, returning both fighters to the starting stage. Charles quickly realized that this would continue until one party lost. Despite avoiding a jackpot in the first go, Charles was upset that Idle Death Gambe: Private Pure Love Train Version 1/239 appropriated the manga by Candy Nakamura of the same name.
Hakari conjured gold doors to defend himself from Charles before entering the next scenario. Charles recognized this indicated a high chance for a jackpot. While activating riichi mode and spinning two number three symbols, Hakari boasted that he never needed more than thirty spins to hit a jackpot. They advanced to the high-chance final train riichi and it initially appeared as if Yume departed on the train, which would not have resulted in a jackpot. Charles assumed this was the case and was able to channel his relief into focus, injuring Hakari. However, the visualization revealed that Yume missed the train as she reappears next to Yuki. Hakari spun three number three symbols in a row and used his bonus cursed energy to defeat him with a single kick.
Hakari rescued Panda from Hajime Kashimo during the bonus round after hitting the jackpot against Charles. Kashimo sensed Hakari's overflowing cursed energy as the latter made his dramatic entrance. Hakari's increased durability allowed him to land on top of a metal shipping container and completely crushed it without injuring himself. He followed up with a punch that sent Kashimo flying through another freight container. His overwhelming cursed energy output also allowed Hakari to completely ignore Kashimo's electrification. Normally someone would suffer an electric shock from hitting Kashimo but Hakari barely felt a tingle.
Shortly after their opening exchange, Hakari received a bonus of cursed energy that further empowered him. Kashimo landed several undefended hits but Hakari was able to take them without suffering significant damage and immediately counterattacked. After having his arm severed by Kashimo's lightning, Hakari was able to keep fighting because he knew his arm would automatically heal. The round ended directly after Hakari's arm recovered and Kashimo noticed the music ending alongside the recession of his opponent's cursed energy. With his cursed energy returned to normal and his cursed technique replenished during the round, Hakari immediately expanded his domain again, something he's capable of doing repeatedly as long as he continues to hit the jackpot.
Kashimo was already intrigued by Hakari's unique abilities and gaining information on how they worked allowed him to better analyze his opponent. The domain apprised Kashimo of its rules faster than he could give up defending himself with Hollow Wicker Basket. Since Hakari lined up three odd numbers against Charles, this time the game began in increase probability mode. Kashimo recognized that Hakari was likely to keep hitting the jackpot but was also aware his opponent wasn't unkillable while in the domain. Hakari's base state was easily outdueled by Kashimo's superior physical prowess but he used the consecutive effect indicator to replay brutal exchanges and undo any damage he took. The risk of failing to activate a consecutive effect is greater upon the second activation of the domain so normally Hakari would avoid it unless he has increased probability. He used consecutive effects twice in a row and to avoid lasting damage from Kashimo and then went right into riichi mode, drawing two sixes.
Hakari and Kashimo entered the potty emergency riichi and even worked together to interact with the visualization, ultimately resulting in a jackpot. The music began after the domain was dispelled and Kashimo recognized that Hakari returned to his unkillable state, with no restrictions on cursed energy and a fully automatic reverse cursed technique. He also noted that since Hakari hit a jackpot using even numbers, the increased probability wouldn't be in effect for the next expansion.
During the succeeding round, Hakari's automatic reverse curse technique healed several injuries to his head, including a direct hit from Kashimo's lightning. Hakari survived by expelling his opponent's cursed energy through his nose while his brain healed itself. With eight seconds left in the round, Hakari's physical prowess increased and he overwhelmed Kashimo with a reckless assault. Just as the round ended, Kashimo hit Hakari with another unexpected bolt of lightning he was unable to heal from. Despite suffering a fatal wound, Hakari used the last of his strength to expand Idle Death Gamble once more.
Hakari successfully cast his domain but Kashimo assumed this attempt was in vain and that they would enter a mode with faster spins and not increased probability. With only a one in two hundred and thirty-nine chance of hitting the jackpot, it was likely Hakari would fail to do so and die. However, on the very first spin, Hakari lined up three number-two symbols and hit the jackpot due to hidden probability, instantly healing himself.
Kashimo's next attempt to overcome Hakari's auto-healing was poisoning him with chlorine gas. Nullifying toxins requires an advanced reverse cursed technique, which Hakari's unkillable mode is able to achieve unconsciously. With only five seconds left in the round, Hakari decided to try and defeat Kashimo rather than distance himself to cast the domain again. Kashimo was aware Hakari was headed for increased probability mode if he expanded Idle Death Gamble again, so he attempt to kill Hakari with a steam explosion that would at the very least destroy his arm and prevent him from using hand signs to cast the domain.
