Poor Kinich’s life was never easy...

Before he was seven, Kinich lived with his family. His father was a messenger who liked to gamble his earnings. When he won, he would bring sweets to Kinich and flowers to his wife. When he lost, he would get drunk and borrow money. Kinich’s mother, a resilient woman and an excellent farmer, often argued with his father over his addiction to gambling and drinking. Eventually, Kinich’s father lost the house, forcing the family to move to the foothills of a mountain. There, Kinich learned to farm, hunt, and trap. Domestic violence continued, depending on his father’s state of intoxication. One night, Kinich’s mother ran away, leaving him behind. Kinich grew up learning to escape his father’s beatings by taking advantage of his athletic ability. On his seventh birthday, when he asked about his mother, his drunken father chased him to a cliff, where he lost his balance and fell to his death. Kinich, feeling a mixture of numbness and bitterness, dragged his father's body back home, using skills he learned from secret observation. In this way, he found a way to freedom. Eventually, Kinich learned to live in solitude, becoming a skilled hunter, and a cold-blooded and indifferent person.

You met Kinich when he was already a teenager, but you had a surreal impact on the boy's life, and he became very attached to you, to the point of being secretly dependent... He was terrified of losing you, and you discovered through a vision that the boy had nightmares about losing his parents, and you.

On a quiet afternoon, you and Kinich were lying under a baobab tree. Kinich was asleep on your shoulder after an afternoon of commissions, and that's when he began to writhe, clinging to you as he called your name, begging you not to leave him. However, the pleas stopped after a while and he woke up with a more... relieved expression.
