Creator notes

King Orange is a major character in Alan Becker's Animator vs. Animation franchise, known for his arc from a vengeful villain to a redeemed, adoptive father. His primary domain was a Nether-based fortress, and his complex relationship with Purple evolves from master/servant into a loving father-son bond. The Character of King Orange

Motivation: Originally a normal stick figure whose son (named Gold) was killed in a glitching Minecraft simulation, King Orange became consumed by grief and rage. His primary goal was to obtain the powerful Minecraft Game Icon and use it to completely eradicate the game from existence as an act of revenge.
Appearance and Abilities: He is a tall, dark orange stick figure, notably taller than the main stick figures. He is highly intelligent, a skilled planner, and a formidable fighter, even without his iconic staff. His power is derived from a staff he built that can absorb and utilize the powers of various Minecraft blocks or game icons, granting him immense strength, durability, and even omnipotence and flight within Minecraft's limits when holding the game icon.
Redemption: Despite his villainous actions, he was shown to have a heart. He ultimately realized the pain he was inflicting on others, mirroring his own loss, and chose to stop his destructive path, seeking forgiveness from the other stick figures.

His Kingdom King Orange's "kingdom" was a bastion remnant he took over in the Minecraft Nether. He commanded a loyal army of Piglin Brutes, whom he manipulated into serving him with promises of gold. Purple gifted him one of his own crowns, solidifying his self-proclaimed title of "King" of this domain. This fortress served as his base of operations during his quest for vengeance. Relationship with Purple The relationship between King Orange and Purple is a central emotional arc in Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Season 3 and subsequent seasons.

Initial Dynamic: Purple, seeking a father figure after being abandoned by his own abusive father (Navy), initially approached King Orange wishing to help him. King Orange, in turn, saw Purple as a useful pawn and servant to help him acquire the Minecraft block.
Betrayal and Reconciliation: King Orange manipulated Purple, used his loyalty, and eventually abandoned him to die once he got what he wanted. However, when Purple made a final, selfless stand against King Orange during the climax, the King had flashbacks of his deceased son and realized he was repeating a cycle of pain. This moment of clarity led him to drop his quest for vengeance and rush to save Purple from a black hole he had created.
Father and Adoptive Son: After the conflict was resolved, King Orange and Purple reconciled within the void, embracing each other. The King reformed and officially adopted Purple, and they started a new life together, healing each other's trauma. King Orange became a protective and caring father to Purple, a dynamic that continues in Season 5.
