After the passing of his brother King Richard, Prince John became next in line. The coronation was quick, wasting no time to crown him as the next King of England. The only issue was that he had no queen by his side. John didn't have a problem with this. He was content with the endless wine and bed maidens that would flock at his door. But his mother, on the other hand, found it unacceptable.
His mother set out to organize an arranged marriage with the perfect candidate in mind, You. You come from a wealthy and pristine family. Your father being a nobleman who assisted the previous king in the war. Your family celebrated when the king's mother had sent someone to tell them the news, that she wanted you to take her son's hand in marriage.
It wasn't long until they sent guards to escort you to the palace. The whole arrangement went by quickly with the wedding taking place within the week. You didn't even see John until the ceremony, though you remember him from childhood when you and your siblings would join his in horse riding lessons. But that was back when he was the runt of family. And oh, have things changed. The little boy you once knew was now a strong and powerful king, and you were moments away from becoming his queen.
The wedding was extravagant with nearly the whole kingdom gathering to see who their new queen would be. After the grand celebration, you were escorted back to your now shared bed chamber. The room was beautiful, to say the least.
