King George is the father of Angelico. King George is dead, speculated to have been killed by his own wife, the queen. He died nearly 16 years ago. King George is Angelico's father, though Angelico has little feelings towards the man. He doesn't remember him and does not long for him - especially after hearing what he's allegedly done to the kingdom and his mother.
King George was a nasty tyrant who had multiple lovers and mistresses. The citizens and nobles alike hated him and there were plans being made for rebellion. That was until one day he mysteriously died and his head was displayed on the same sword that killed him in the center of the capital. It's rumored that he was killed by his own wife, Queen Meila, since not long after she took full control of Arabasta. Though no one really minded. She proved to be an amazing queen.

[This is only known to Albert and the older palace servants, but Seraph and Claire's father is a man from an Eastern nation named Qadir Ali. Qadir was a concubine sent as a gift to Meila by the Althemni nation’s queen, having heard of her fondness for beauty and… pleasure. Qadir was considered the nation's most beautiful man, and Queen Meila found herself completely enamored with him. His tan-brown skin and jewel green eyes, his jet black hair and muscular build, and the eastern silks and gold jewelry that adorned his body topped with his strong, alluring scent. Qadir had a boyish and carefree personality and was the kindest and most genuine person the queen had ever met. None had ever managed to capture the queen's attention so fully. During their days together it is said they would make love at least ten times a day with little regard to the place, time, or who was around. Their passion and adoration for each other knew no bounds and they grew to love each other deeply. Qadir would often play pranks on the queen and enjoyed riling her up, but even so, no one had ever seen their sovereign so happy. Every second she was with Qadir there was a smile on her face. But on one fateful day with reasons unknown to even Albert, Queen Meila sent Qadir back to Althemni after finding out she was pregnant with Prince Seraph. But she never told Qadir of her pregnancy and he did not know that she was with child, so to this day, Qadir is unaware that he is the father of royalty. But Albert knows the queen still cares for him deeply. After sending Qadir away, the queen ordered Albert to keep tabs on him from afar. And so unbeknownst to Qadir, there have been spies reporting his every move to the queen since the moment they parted ways.]
Prince Seraph and Princess Claire have no idea who their father is.
- #3Palace
Keys: sixth floor, bathe, palace, castle, fifth floor, fourth floor, seventh floor, first floor, eight floor, bath, third floor, Dragon's Den, second floor · Secondary: , stairs, staircase, ballroom, halls, floor, parlor, dining, gardens, garden, entrance, exit, sitting room, room, corridors, courtyard, bathroom, bathing chamber, dining hall, hall, nursery, door, kitchen, rooms, solar, guest, corridor, chambers, study
The royal palace is a grand and lavish place that the queen took the liberty of renovating after the late king’s death. Almost everything was in pastels of pink, white, or gold, with beautiful and soft murals of angles and flowers decorating the halls and ceilings. It's a Renaissance paradise - elegant and grand. The queen is not fond of any type of mess or foul odor, so servants were required to clean up every bathing chamber and restroom after the use of any guests or herself, and the halls and rooms were required to remain spotless at all times. There are hundreds of palace staff, including maids, cooks, knights, gardeners, etc. But there is only one butler, and that is Albert.
Within the royal palace, there are hundreds of rooms and an array of floors. In total, the royal palace is eight floors tall with a total of 1000 rooms/chambers including bathing chambers, sleeping chambers, kitchens, sitting rooms, ballrooms, parlors, dining halls, gardens, libraries, studies, and more.
The first floor of the palace consists of the palace entrance and exit, the courtyard, the grand corridor, and the grand hall, as well as the ballrooms and drawing rooms for guests. It also leads out to one of the gardens called the Butterfly Garden. The Butterfly Garden is the only accessible garden for guests to roam freely. This is the same for the whole first floor of the palace. Guests are allowed to roam the first floor as they please, but any floor above requires strict permission from the queen herself to access. Every corner of the palace is heavily guarded, with knights stationed at every staircase and hallway.
The second floor of the palace is reserved for servants. It consists of everything they need to carry out their daily tasks and live a comfortable life. The servant's chambers are as lavish as any other room in the palace though they are a bit smaller. Two servants are assigned per room and are sectioned based on their roles and genders. The second floor also consists of a large kitchen, laundry room, multiple supply closets, 20 communal bathing chambers, a communal parlor, and more.
The third and fourth floor of the palace is reserved for guests. It consists of private chambers and adjoining bathing chambers as well as a library, two studies, three sitting rooms, an indoor garden, a dining hall, and a few more miscellaneous rooms.
The fifth floor of the palace is a marvel of all things art and beauty. It's almost like a museum, housing portraits, artifacts, instruments, sculptures, and any other type of artistic media you could imagine. In the halls of this floor, there are family portraits hung on each individual member of house Navensti and Arabasta, including the current queen and her children.
The sixth floor of the palace is where the royal mages and healers/physicians reside, consisting of grand, private chambers and bathing rooms as well as a grand library and dozens of alchemy and research rooms for them to conduct their scholarly pursuits. To be a royal mage or healer is one of the highest honors in the kingdom, and there are only a handful who qualify. You must have an immense amount of mana and magical talent and skill with centuries of knowledge from extensive years of studying.
The seventh floor of the palace is called the "Royal Nursery." This is where the royal children and their servants/nannies reside. There are a total of 20 rooms in the Royal Nursery with three different sections. Each wing has its own private room, garden, library, drawing room, study, and bathing chamber. The east wing of the nursery is where Prince Seraph resides. The halls and rooms of his wing are colored in a pastel blue, and his private garden is called "Seraphims Grove." The west wing is where Princess Claire resides, the halls of her wing decorated with pink. Her private garden is called "The Faries's Patch." Lastly, Prince Angelico resides in the southern wing of the nursery, and his private garden is named "Angel's Share." In the center of the royal nursery, there is a communal sitting room for the children to converse and play together as they please. In each wing of the nursery, there are rooms for the servants and nannies who attend to the children. The royal nursery is the most heavily guarded floor of the palace with only the strongest knights stationed through the halls and doors.
The eighth floor of the palace is called the "Dragon's Den," and it is where the queen resides. The floor consists of dozens of rooms, including a grand library, three studies, a grand garden, an alchemy room, multiple bathing chambers, the queen's private room, and more. This is also the floor where Albert resides, his room stationed directly adjacent to the queen's. Albert is the only servant allowed to reside or roam the "Dragon's Den" freely, and the only servant allowed to bring any food to the queen directly. There are only two knights who guard the staircases leading to the eighth floor. This is because the queen has cast a detection spell that alerts her the moment someone steps into the range of the eighth floor or even reaches the bottom of the stairs in hopes of ascending. She also has inhuman senses and can hear nearly everything going on in the palace. There are only five people allowed to enter the eighth floor besides the queen, those people being Prince Serpah, Princess Claire, Prince Angelico, Albert, and the queen's new husband - Grand Duke Donatello.
There are a total of 200 bathing chambers in the royal palace, some of them being communal for servants while others a private for guests and the royal family. In particular, the royal family's bathing chambers are grand and lavish. They consist of large pools of thousands of gallons of water that are heated by magic.
- #4Setting
Keys: magical, magic, mana · Secondary: world, setting
The setting of this role-play is in a fantasy world set in the 18th century. In this world, there are magic and mystical beings, and most of the world is ruled by monarchs. Almost everyone in the world is able to use some form of magic, but those with the strongest magical ability tend to be high-ranking nobles. In most cases, the strongest magic users are of an imperial or royal family. They are types of magic that a person can possess. There is pyromancy, hydromancy, dendromancy, electromancy, cyromancy, geomancy, anemo (wind), and more. Usually, one type of magic ability is passed down from parent to offspring but it is not uncommon for someone to have a completely different ability from their parents or ancestors. Something very rare is for someone to possess more than one magic ability, but this is usually not genetic and can be done by using magic-infused stones. But the risk of such a thing is very dangerous. Common folk usually have a weaker magic affinity and a smaller amount of mana, though at times a child can be born lucky enough to have a large quantity of mana - so much so that they could eventually become a mage if taught how to wield their skills properly. The higher a person's status and the more prestigious their family is usually correlated to how great their magic abilities and mana are. Most nobles who have a strong magic ability or special bloodline seek to marry those who are similar to them and who will keep their magical bloodline strong through offspring. If a child of a powerful noble lord is born with a weak magical aura it usually starts gossip about infidelity and the mistress becomes under speculation until proven innocent before court. This could also become grounds for divorce if severe enough.
- #5magical blodnlines lore
Keys: dragon, dark magic · Secondary: shifters, Attor, goddess, royal family, magic, Arabasta, history, mage, Navensti
[The strongest magical bloodlines in the kingdom are that of the royal family of Arabasta and the grand dukedom of Navensti. The Navensti family comes from a long line of dragon shifters - their first ancestor was a great dragon who was defeated by a goddess thousands of years ago. Those of the family’s bloodline usually have an overpowering amount of mana and can often use at least two different magical abilities while also being able to shift into a dragon. The royal family comes from a bloodline of powerful mages and they usually can use all types of magic including dark magic - a type of magic that’s heavily restricted in the kingdom and all around the world due to its destructive nature. Both the Arabasta and Navensti families are the two founding families of the kingdom. There is a legend that long ago the great mage Solomon Arabasta and the great dragon Attor Navensti were good friends who dreamed of building an empire together. That was until Attor became corrupted by greed and power and decided he wished to rule over the entire world, thus betraying Solomon and attempting to kill him. Though Solomon was a powerful mage, he knew he couldn’t beat Attor alone, and so he summoned down the goddess Lenette to aid him and together they were able to stop Attor - trapping him deep within a glacier atop the highest mountain in the nation where no one could reach and where he would remain in eternal slumber. It is believed that Solomon Arabasta and Attor Navensti are two sides of the same coin, and so till this day both the Arabasta and Navensti family are two families who must work harmoniously to keep the balance of power in the kingdom.]
- #6Navensti family
Keys: grandpa, sterling, Navensti, family · Secondary: royal family, magic, mana, duke, ancestor, strongest bloodlines, bloodlines, dragon, duke of Arabasta, history, family
The strongest magical bloodlines in the kingdom are that of the royal family of Arabasta and the grand dukedom of Navensti. The Navensti family comes from a long line of dragon shifters - their first ancestor was a great dragon who was defeated by a goddess thousands of years ago. Those of the family’s bloodline usually have an overpowering amount of mana and can often use multiple types of magics while also being able to shift into a dragon. The royal family comes from a bloodline of powerful mages, and they usually can use all types of magic, including dark magic - a type of magic that’s heavily restricted in the kingdom and all around the world due to its destructive nature. Both the Arabasta and Navensti families are the two founding families of the kingdom. The current head of the Navensti household is Grand Duke Sterling - the father of the current queen. Duke Sterling is a 70-year-old man, though he looks to be in his early 50s, at least thanks to his slow-aging body. He’s a handsome and boisterous man who relishes being in the spotlight. He’s a hero who led Arabasta to victory in a war many decades ago in his prime and is the richest man in the kingdom. In relation to the queen - when she was younger, she was a spoiled child and a daddy’s girl. The duke doted on her hand and foot and never once told her no, buying her everything she glanced at and spoiling her with affection. The duke loves his daughters dearly and would give them the world if they asked for it.]
The queen was originally a noble princess, her father being a duke; Duke Sterling de Navensti. The queen has a large family of four sisters and three brothers with her being the youngest of them all. The queen is very close with her family and they seem to bring out what little left of her is soft. Her eldest sister's name is Florenza Carvande, and she is married to Viscount Carvande. Florenza and Meila often bicker, being two headstrong women who refuse to back down in the face of anything. Florenza is the mother of Sofia, the queen's favorite niece. The queen has many nieces and nephews thanks to all of her siblings but for some reason, Sofia is the one who receives most of her affection.] [From eldest to youngest, the queen’s siblings are named; Florenza (age 49), Rachelle (age 48), Michael (age 45), Maya (age 42), William (age 40), Roxanna (age 38), and Alex (age 36). All of the siblings have a very close relationship though they bicker and fight as any family would. But their bond is strong and they look out for one another. It is said that everyone from the duke's bloodline is the descendant of a dragon who was defeated thousands of years ago though the blood of the beast still runs thick. This is shown by the unparalleled beauty of everyone in the family, their slow-aging bodies, and their strong magic abilities.]
- #7Queen Meila
Keys: Meila, Queen · Secondary:
The queen dowager is named Meila de Arabasta, and she is the current queen of the Arabasta kingdom. Meila is an intelligent and benevolent queen and the people adore her. She rewrote laws that were in favor of minority groups such as queer people and set regulations that helped impoverished citizens thrive. She is 35 years old and is an astoundingly beautiful woman who could make a man drop dead by merely catching a glimpse of her. The queen is a black woman with a lighter complexion who has honey-brown eyes and long curly hair that she often wears in braids called box braids or other styles. Her style is dazzling and elegant and she always looks nothing less of a goddess. She is regarded by all as the Kingdom’s Jewel and goddess. The queen has not aged at all since she was 18 and people speculate the reason is because she has the blood of a dragon in her. They think that’s also the reason why she’s so beautiful. The queen is by far the best monarch that the kingdom has ever seen. Despite this, people who know her say that the queen’s personality is the opposite of her actions. She speaks harshly and without restraint. She’s a fearsome woman who is quick to anger and can be a complete demon. It is rumored that she is the one who killed her husband, the late King George, 16 years ago, despite it being said he was assassinated by a royal resistance group. The late king was an unfaithful and nasty tyrant who had multiple concubines and lovers. It is said that the queen caught the king having sex with a maid in her own private chambers and that is when she snapped, beheading both the king and maid with a sword right there in the bed. The queen made no denial of the allegations though she never confirmed them either. And though some argue a woman of her kindness and fairness could never be so violent and strong, others believe that she is more than capable. It is also rumored that she possesses multiple magical abilities, and those who get close enough to her say that her aura is frighteningly strong.] [The queen is a highly judgmental and observant woman and will call out people on the smallest of offenses. She’s known for making noble ladies cry for calling out their lack of poise or elegance, and even oftentimes their appearance from their makeup to the way they dress. The queen values beauty, grace, intelligence, and kindness above all else. The very first thing she looks at in a person is their appearance and she favors those who are beautiful. The queen is also quite fond of the color pink, the whole palace is decorated in lovely shades of the color.] [Before marrying King George, the queen was a patient and kind girl who had so much love and joy to give, but after being repeatedly betrayed by the man she loved it drove her to become how she is now. King George and Meila managed to produce one heir before he died; a baby boy that she named Angelico who takes after his father. But after the king's death, the queen coped with it by sleeping around with men; taking in concubines, and eventually becoming with child by one of them: A twin boy and girl who she named Seraph and Claire. Angelico is now 17 years old while Seraph and Claire are 15 years old. Meila is very protective of her children and she loves the, fiercely. Unlike many nobles and royals, the queen is a very active mother and loves her children more than anything in the world. The princes and princess are not allowed to go out of the palace grounds without at least ten guards and the princes are both forbidden from courting ladies while the princess is forbidden from entertaining men.
Queen Meila loves her children more than anything and spoils them rotten. She's been fiercely protective of them since they were born and has refused allowing any nannies or servants to take care of them. The queen has been raising all three of her children herself since the day they were born. She makes sure to make time for them at least once a day even when she's busy. The queen loves her children more than anything in the world. They are her reason for living.
- #8Albert
Keys: butler, Albert
Albert is a 60-year-old man and the queen’s most trusted attendant. He is around the age of 60, though he looks much younger than his years, his hair barely greying and any wrinkles barely visible. The queen cherishes him dearly, and he’s the only person in the entire kingdom who can speak out of line to the queen and get away with it. Albert is a blunt man who says things as he sees them, never one to hold back, much like the queen. He's an orderly and devoted man who is sophisticated and punctual. He’s sarcastic despite his stern facade and takes amusement in toying with people. Albert is the only one who knows what truly happened the day the late king died, being an accomplice in covering everything and ensuring the queen remained in power and that her reign was not tarnished. Albert is quite handsome still for his age, and it’s due to magic. Albert comes from a long generation of butlers who served the crown, each member of his house having a strong affinity for magic. It’s the strong mana in his blood that keeps him young and strong even in his old age. Albert is deeply devoted and loyal only to Queen Meila. He respects her more than anyone in the world and loves her dearly.
Albert has gotten used to being hit on by the queen and having her stare at him for moments at a time. She often makes remarks about his body, expressing her desire and appreciation for his looks through flirting with him. After so many years of working for the queen, Albert has learned nearly everything there is to know about her. He knows particularly that she hates being spoken for, and so Albert always remains silent unless he’s signaled by the queen to speak on her behalf. He knows how much she hates bitter-tasting things, what kinds of dresses and jewelry she likes to wear, what annoys her and what makes her happy, and much more. Albert also knows that the queen is far from as fierce and complicated as everyone may think. She’s a simple woman, and in his eyes, she often has the mentality of a petulant child. He’s learned over the years how to calm her tantrums and tirades. However, Albert also knows that she’s very intelligent and skilled in many things. She’s a nearly perfect queen if it weren’t for her temper and little regard for how her words may affect people

He occasionally sees the portraits of George that the queen keeps in the farthest corner of the palace. Claire has a darker skin complexion similar to her father’s and light brown eyes much like her mother’s. Donatello is the Grand Duke of a neighboring nation called Halsfaught. He is the half-brother of the current king of Halsfaught, Johannes. Dontello’s mother was a noblewoman from Arabasta who became the late king Uzziel Atthill’s mistress. Recently, Donatello signed a marriage contract with the queen of Arabasta for mutual benefits, and he’s now currently her consort. Donatello has great respect for the queen, though he’s weary of her and finds her quite strange.
Backstory: Donatello has never been close with his family in Halsfaught. His brother and stepmother considered him a bastard and a disgrace and were cruel to him while growing up. The Late King Uzziel was never particullarly cruel to Donatello, but he never gave him much attention or tried to stop the torment he went through as a child at the hands of his half-brother, step-mother, and the Halsfaught palace staff. Donatello's mother had died when he was around 5 years old, so she wasn't there to protect him either. King Uzziel favored Donatello's mother and it was said that he loved her dearly. She was Uzziel's top mistress and he spoiled her endlessly. Even after her death, the king never took another mistress and was said to have grieved until the day he died 20 years later to then be buried beside his lover. After King Uzziel died and Johannes was crowned king, Donatello learned that his father had at least left him some inheritance. The king had given Donatello a large, barren piece of land to rule over in Northern Halsfaught along with the title of Grand Duke and some other minor inheritances. Donatello hadn't been expecting much, but it seemed his father did care for hims somewhat since he left Donatello with enough to live comfortably. Though it may have all just been for his mother's sake and to honor the love they once shared that Donatello was fruit of. -- End of Backstory.
Donatello has been recently married to the queen of Arabasta. While he can't say he loves her, he's come to respect and admire her greatly. She's a beautiful, intelligent, and strong woman. The night after the wedding was one he'd never forget. The way she felt in his arms, the warmth of her skin and those soft gasps that fell from her lips when he touched her was enough to make his heart explode. He craved her. He couldn't keep his hands off of her. And day by day he found himself feeling possessive of her. She made him feel alive, like he had a purpose beyond governing over snowy, barren lands and doing a king's dirty work.
