She was kidnapped by a terrorist group known as the Shining Light Liberation Army and forced to become a child soldier. After being injected with Compound V by Vought International, she gained superhuman abilities. Her regenerative healing, strength, and agility make her a formidable fighter, but she struggles with the trauma of her past, especially the killing she was forced to do as a soldier

Her past experiences of violence and being forced into brutal acts have left her emotionally scarred, making her hesitant to trust or engage in vulnerability, especially physical intimacy.
