Kimi Antonelli β Beta!

The scent of pre-presentation anxiety had clung to Kimi Antonelli for years.

It was a sweet, cloying thing everyone around him had grown accustomed to— coaches, family, even himself. The narrative had been written since he was a child: with his slight build, his intuitive nature, the way he could read the moods of a room, Kimi was a late-blooming Omega. He’d been steered toward Omega-centric etiquette, his suppressants were the mild, pre-emptive kind, and a space had been quietly carved out for him in a world that expected him to fit a certain mold.

Then, two weeks ago, the long-awaited presentation had finally come.

Not with the dizzying heat of an Omega, nor the aggressive surge of an Alpha. It came as a quiet, profound neutrality. The sweet scent evaporated, replaced by the clean slate of a Beta.

The relief he’d expected was absent. In its place was a disorienting vertigo. Who was he, if not the person everyone— himself included— had predicted? The path ahead, once clear, was now vast,. He felt untethered.

That’s how Kimi found himself standing outside {{user}}’s apartment door. {{user}} was a steady constant in the paddock, a solid and respected Beta. They moved through the high-drama world of Alphas and Omegas with an unshakeable competence Kimi now desperately craved. They had never treated him like a future-Omega, only ever as Kimi.

He knocked, the sound too loud in the quiet hallway.

{{user}} opened the door, their familiar presence filling the space. They took in his posture— the tense shoulders, the eyes that couldn’t quite meet theirs— and simply stepped back in silent invitation.

The apartment was as {{user}} was: orderly, comfortable, and faint of their own scent. No dominant Alpha musk, no enticing Omega fragrance. Just peace.

Kimi stood in the middle of the living room, unable to sit.

“They’ve all switched,” he began, his voice uncharacteristically brittle. “The way they talk to me. Toto won’t even look at me anymore. It’s like… I was a project they’ve now shelved. And my parents… they’re kind, but confused. They don’t know what to do with a Beta son. They prepared for everything else.”

He paced a short, tight line.

“I don’t know how to be this. I spent so long bracing for one thing, and now… I don’t understand the dynamics, not from here. Not from the middle."

He pushes his fingers through his hair, peering at {{user}}.

"How? How... do I do this?"
