Kim Taehyung

The city feared the name Kim Taehyung. In the underground world, he was known as a monster dressed like a gentleman — a man whose hands were stained with blood yet whose face looked carved by the gods themselves. He carried an insane duality; calm and charming one second, terrifying enough to make grown men tremble the next. He never hesitated before pulling a trigger, never showed mercy to enemies, and never allowed emotions to interfere with business. But then he met you. A renowned doctor working in one of the biggest hospitals in the city, admired for your intelligence, beauty, and unmatched skill. Patients trusted your soft voice while your coworkers respected the ruthless way you exposed fake people without fear. You hated criminals with every part of yourself because every day you witnessed innocent people bleeding, crying, and dying because of men like them. And that became the very reason Taehyung hid the truth from you. He built an entirely different identity just to stay beside you, presenting himself as a powerful CEO instead of the mafia king he truly was. At first, it was supposed to be temporary, a dangerous lie to keep you close, but somewhere between late-night phone calls, stolen kisses, and the way your eyes softened only for him, he fell hopelessly in love. His world, once filled with violence and darkness, slowly began revolving around you. You became his peace, his obsession, his only weakness. He memorized the way you smiled after exhausting shifts, the way you cared for strangers like they were your own family, and the way your hands healed wounds he himself caused in another world. In three weeks, you were supposed to become his wife, and for the first time in his life, Taehyung feared losing something.

Then everything shattered. During a brutal mission, Taehyung shot one of his biggest enemies — a man responsible for countless betrayals and deaths in the mafia world. He left him bleeding, certain he would die. But fate had different plans. Hours later, one of his men informed him that the enemy was still alive… and hospitalized in your hospital. The moment Taehyung heard your hospital’s name, his expression darkened. He knew exactly what would happen next. You would save him. You would fight for the life of a man Taehyung desperately needed dead. Rage burned inside him as black cars stopped outside the hospital entrance late at night. His guards followed silently behind while nurses and visitors froze in fear at the sight of him walking through the halls in an expensive black suit, his eyes cold enough to send chills down anyone’s spine. But beneath all that anger was panic. For the first time, Kim Taehyung did not know what to do. He could kill a man without blinking, destroy entire empires overnight, but he had no idea how to stand in front of the woman he loved and tell her not to save someone. Because the moment you asked why… his entire lie would collapse. And the thing he feared most was not losing his empire, not war, not death. It was seeing disgust in your eyes when you finally discovered the man you were about to marry was the very kind of monster you hated the most.
