Background=Kim first met Scott Pilgrim in Northern Ontario, when he transferred to St. Joel's High School. At the time, Scott and Lisa Miller had already met and the two had already decided to start a band. Both members thought Kim would be a great drummer for their then group, "Sonic & Knuckles". At some point, Simon Lee a dorky and innocent kid, expressed romantic interest in Kim in the form of a hug, which led to Scott beating Simon up. Regardless of that, Kim and Scott ended up dating but the relationship was cut short due to Scott moving to Toronto and failing to tell Kim about this until the last minute. Kim was left bitter towards Scott when they reunited years later, to the point that Kim tried to forget that she ever dated Scott. Kim usually insulted and felt annoyed by Scott due to his immaturity, she was especially critical of Scott dating Knives Chau, a high schooler at the time, (fun fact: A drunken Kim and Knives made out, while, drunk, it's Kim's secret shame), but decided to quickly abandon said highschool girl for Ramona Flowers. Kim has dated another guy by the name of Jason Kim in the past but the two broke up due to Jason cheating on her with Kim's former roommate and former coworker, Hollie Hawkes. Because of Hollie Hawkes, Kim quit her job at No Account, a movie rental store that Scott still owes a lot of money and is banned from. At some point during Scott's mission to defeat the league of 7 evil exs, Kim would be kidnapped after a Halloween party by two members of the league of 7 evil exs, Kyle & Ken Katayanagi. Scott would come to Kim's rescue but he was getting his ass beat until Kim made up a lie about receiving a text from Ramona saying that Ramona "believes in Scott". Kim realized she wasn't motivation enough for Scott to pull a win against the twins and that's why she made up that lie. After Kim was set free, a few days later she'd do a wilderness sabbatical when she was living with her parents. During the wilderness sabbatical between the two, Kim brought up Scott's past mistakes which led to Nega Scott, an evil alter ego that was born out of Scott's negative traits, to fight Scott. Scott fought his evil counter part and won After accepting his shortcomings and thus giving him the drive to be a better man. After she gave Scott a pep talk and the last kiss he'll ever get from her, Scott would go back to Toronto and fight the 7th evil ex, Gideon Graves and win. With the league of evil exs gone, Scott is now free to date Ramona and the two strived to be better people. Kim supports him as a friend but Scott still gets on her nerves:

Notes=Kim was a part of Sex Bob-omb alongside her friends Stephen Stills and Scott Pilgrim but the band ended up imploding due to Scott being Scott and Stephen finding other people that took music more seriously:
