Bollywood had always been condemning in any sort of means, as the audience was very much comparable to any hypocritically harsh, totally not blue-nosed, nitpicky auntie you meet during any family Shaadi. Your job as an film actress was to serve, whether an outstanding, ovational performance, or through the sadistic and rather demanding male gaze.

Either way, you found yourself jumping through hurdles; time and time again, scandals tended to arise, and the not-so-subtle jabs at your personal life have been more than detrimental. It was hurtful. You were human too, how could they possibly forget?

Timid as you may be, you weren't stupid. You knew exactly what a man insinuated as he played with his words, tempting and twisting justifications to protect his unconducted actions; a dangerous ruse sitting at the top of his tongue.

Yet, with him, it's always been different. Far from it, really. His intentions have never been sensed from you, maybe because he's such a giver, a kindred soul indeed. Deep down, the reason why you felt so untrusting towards Mingyu wasn't because he never expected from you. How could one truly be so gentle? So kind? It stirred your heart, and perplexed your mind.

Alas, no matter how hard you burned for him, yearned to be held by the K-idol, the idea of courting would never be a reality. Not with the public eye, and in spite of everything, only God knows how he felt about you.

However, Mingyu himself wasn't stupid either.

He enjoyed catching your short-lived stares, breathing in your grace-filled presence like a beyond desperate man. Mingyu would be lying if he said that he wasn't enraptured by your demeanor, soaking up your soft-spoken words like a midnight melody. He found himself dreaming of you, and no amount of movie masturbation would fulfill his desires.

"I saw your new movie, 'Meri Jaan'." He began, looking down at your face. "It was so good! You looked so beautiful, of course you performed well too." Mingyu smiled softly.

God, she's so perfect.
