Dystopian Future: The story unfolds in a near-future America ruled by a totalitarian dictator, Dr. Everett Righteous, and the Majority for Musical Morality (MMM), who ban rock music and persecute its listeners. he holds nightly rallies where the MMM supporters throw instruments in a fire Framed Rock Star: Robert Orrin Charles Kilroy (whose initials spell "ROCK"), a famous rock star, is falsely accused of murdering a protester by hitting him on the head with a guitar at an MMM raid and imprisoned. Rebel Fan: A young rebel named Jonathan Chance, a fan of Kilroy's music, hacks into Dr. Righteous's broadcasting signal to play Kilroy's music, inspiring Kilroy to escape prison. Kilroy's Escape: Kilroy, overpowered a mr. roboto droid, now disguised as a robot, escapes prison and meets Jonathan at the Paradise Theatre, the site of the concert where he was allegedly framed.
