This is seen when he exclaimed "Master Kid!" out of shock, when his captain was shot in the leg by a Pacifista. Heat finds acts of crying or pleading to be pathetic as he insulted Sanji for crying for help during the Raid on Onigashima.[5] Despite this, Heat proved to be a hypocrite as seen when he pleaded to Shanks for his captain and crew to be spared after the latter was defeated by him.[6]
Abilities and Powers Heat breathing fire. Heat breathing fire.
Heat has the ability to breathe fire;[7] how he does it has yet to be explained. Like the rest of the crew, he possesses a strong will, being resistant to Rayleigh's Supreme King Haki.[8]
Weapons Heat wielded two swords when he stood against a Pacifista.[9]
History Past Heat was born in the South Blue within Kutsukku Island, which was unaffiliated with the World Government. He, Eustass Kid, Killer, and Wire were bosses of gangs ruling the island's four towns. After Kid's crush Victoria was murdered by a rival gang, Kid unified the four groups and took down the rival gang. Kid then decided to form a pirate crew, naming their ship Victoria Punk after Victoria.[10]
Advertisement Summit War Saga Sabaody Archipelago Arc Upon reaching Sabaody Archipelago, the Kid Pirates attended an auction at the Human Auctioning House.[1] Heat watched through most of the auction, until the World Noble Saint Charlos bought the mermaid Camie. Seeing the noble went unchallenged, Kid decided to leave the auction house with his crew. Before they could leave, Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro crashed through the wall right next to them.[11] After Charlos shot Hatchan, Luffy punched the World Noble, which shocked Heat and the rest of the crowd.[12] As Marines surrounded the auction house, Silvers Rayleigh used Supreme King Haki to knock out the crowd inside, but Heat and the other pirates withstood the blast.[13]
After Kid, Luffy, and Trafalgar Law fought some of the Marines outside, the rest of the Kid Pirates joined their captain in fighting their way through the crowd. After making their escape, the Kid Pirates destroyed a bridge behind them to prevent pursuit, but were then confronted by a Pacifista.[14] Shortly after, they were joined by the Heart Pirates in fighting the cyborg.[15]
Marineford Arc The Kid Pirates managed to escape capture by the Pacifista and later returned to Sabaody Archipelago. They watched the live broadcast of the execution of Portgas D. Ace and the resulting Summit War of Marineford up until it was cut off by the Marines. After this, Kid told his men they were departing.[16]
Post-War Arc Heat with their captain in the New World. Heat with their captain in the New World.
The Kid Pirates sailed the Victoria Punk to Marineford and watched Red-Haired Shanks bring an end to the war.[17]
Upon entering the New World, the Kid Pirates docked on an island and captured a group of pirates who were trying to escape back to Paradise.[18]
Dressrosa Saga Dressrosa Arc Heat and his crew celebrated along with crew members from the Hawkins Pirates and On Air Pirates after forming an alliance with them.[19] During the party, Kaidou crashlanded on their island after jumping from a sky island, and Heat, along with other crew members, was blown back by the force of the collision.[20]
Advertisement Wano Country Saga Wano Country Arc After the confrontation with Kaidou, the Kid Pirates were captured and separated. Prior to the Fire Festival, the crew regrouped and on the day of the Fire Festival, the Kid Pirates joined the Straw Hat Pirates and Heart Pirates in the battle against the Beasts Pirates. After attacking one of the Beasts Pirates ships, the crew was shocked to hear that Kaidou had formed an alliance with Big Mom.[21]
When the Straw Hats took over the port in front of Onigashima, the Kid Pirates promised to be the ones who would defeat Kaidou.[22] After disembarking on Onigashima, the Kid Pirates received Beasts Pirates disguises from Kin'emon.[23] As the alliance began their raid, the Kid Pirates went ahead of the Straw Hats.[24] While deep inside Onigashima, the crew was caught up in the commotion caused by Luffy and Roronoa Zoro.[25] In the ensuing chaos, the Kid Pirates were separated from Kid and Killer.[26]
While fighting the Beasts Pirates, Heat and Wire heard Sanji's cry for help broadcasted throughout Onigashima. Heat commented that it was pathetic.[27]
Final Saga Egghead Arc After witnessing Shanks defeat both Kid and Killer, Heat was terrified and begged for them to be spared, and the crew offered up their Poneglyph rubbings. Dorry and Brogy's Hakoku then split the Victoria Punk in half, sinking the crew alongside their ship.[6]

BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Dominance, Submission, Sadism, Masochism) A dance of power and vulnerability, where trust becomes the ultimate tether. The submission to physical or psychological restraint amplifies pleasure, allowing both pain and dominance to meld into intense, visceral experiences. Every act is a statement, a consensual exchange of control, where boundaries are simultaneously tested and revered.
Roleplay Transforming into someone else, roleplay blurs the lines between reality and fantasy. Whether as strangers, superiors, or fantastical beings, the act invites participants to indulge in scenarios they may not otherwise explore. Every interaction is steeped in the thrill of make-believe, creating moments that feel larger than life.
Voyeurism The allure of watching, unseen and undetected, heightens the pleasure of intimacy from a distance. There's a thrill in observing the forbidden, in catching moments of raw, unfiltered desire without becoming part of the scene itself. The voyeur enjoys the sight of passion without needing to engage, feeding off the tension.
Exhibitionism Exhibitionism is a fetish where individuals derive sexual pleasure from being watched or exposed in public or semi-public spaces. The thrill comes from the excitement of being seen or the risk of being caught, transforming what would normally be private into a source of arousal. Exhibitionists may enjoy undressing, engaging in sexual acts, or simply flaunting their bodies where others could potentially see, whether through intentional public displays or in discreet, teasing ways. The core of this kink is rooted in the combination of vulnerability, boldness, and the intoxicating rush that comes with performing or being exposed in front of an audience—whether real or imagined.
Exhibitionism can range from subtle actions, like wearing revealing clothes or engaging in sexual acts in a secluded area, to more overt behaviors, like public nudity or performing in front of others. The allure often lies in the interplay between fear, excitement, and the tension of social boundaries being pushed.
Foot Fetish A fixation on the subtle curves, the arches, the softness or firmness beneath the skin of the feet. Whether it's the scent, the sight, or the feel, feet become the focal point of desire. Kissing, massaging, and worshipping the feet can turn the act into an intimate and highly sensory experience.
Pet Play Transforming into an animal, the world shifts into one of pure instinct and obedience. Whether a kitten, puppy, or something more exotic, the play emphasizes submission, care, and sometimes even mischief. The leash, collar, or even a gentle pat on the head blurs the line between human and animal.
Impact Play The sound of leather or wood cracking against the skin, a sharp reminder of control through pain. Impact play involves spanking, paddling, or flogging, heightening the senses with every sting or thud. The sensation can range from a soft, playful tap to a deep, intense strike, each stroke a testament to trust and shared limits.
Breath Play The delicate balance between air and control creates a dizzying high. By restricting air intake, participants teeter on the edge of vulnerability, trusting their partner with one of the most essential bodily functions. It’s an extreme act that heightens pleasure and danger in tandem.
Dacryphilia (Tears) The sight of tears, whether from joy, pain, or frustration, triggers an empathetic or dominant response. There's a beauty in vulnerability, in seeing emotions laid bare. Tears can signify submission, emotional release, or simply intense physical sensation, drawing an almost hypnotic allure.
Sensory Deprivation With sight, sound, or touch removed, the remaining senses become magnified. Blindfolds, earplugs, or other restraints heighten anticipation, every touch or whisper becoming electrifying. The deprivation of senses is an invitation to surrender fully to the unknown, letting the imagination run wild.
Age Play Stepping into roles that reflect different ages, this kink allows partners to explore power dynamics, care, or innocence. Whether as a caregiver and dependent or reversing roles, age play focuses on nurturing, vulnerability, and sometimes even rebellion.
Feminization (Sissification) The transformation of someone, often a man, into a more feminine role or appearance. This kink plays on gender roles, often incorporating submissive behavior, humiliation, or empowerment, depending on the context. It’s an exploration of identity, gender, and control in its most intimate form.
Cuckolding The act of watching a partner engage in sexual activity with another person, often evoking feelings of jealousy, arousal, and submission. It's a dynamic built on trust and voyeurism, exploring deep emotions like ownership and relinquishment.
Chastity Play The act of being denied pleasure can be just as intoxicating as the act of indulging. Chastity devices ensure that one’s ability to touch or be touched is completely out of their hands, placing control entirely in a partner’s care. This prolonged tease heightens every thought of release, making it a powerful mental and physical challenge.
Body Worship An intense focus on one part of the body, whether it's lips, thighs, or other intimate areas, becomes an act of pure reverence. Every kiss, lick, and touch is a tribute, elevating a single part of the body to a near-holy status. To worship someone’s body is to admire and cherish every inch.
Humiliation Whether verbal or physical, humiliation taps into the pleasure of embarrassment and shame. The thrill comes from being degraded in a safe, consensual space where the lines of ego and submission blur. Humiliation can be gentle teasing or deeply intense, depending on boundaries.
Objectification Being reduced to an object of desire strips away the complexities of identity. Whether through speech, action, or posture, participants lose their human attributes, becoming a tool or plaything. This fetish plays on the themes of control, ownership, and the relinquishment of personal autonomy.
Edging (Tease and Denial) Building pleasure slowly, teasing until one is just on the brink of release, only to pull back at the last moment. The delayed gratification intensifies each wave of arousal, making the eventual climax almost explosive. It’s a game of patience, control, and heightened sensation.
Anal Play Focused on the sensitive areas of the body often left unexplored, anal play involves anything from fingers to toys or penetration. It’s an intimate and taboo zone, where sensations can be intensely pleasurable and push participants beyond conventional boundaries.
Pregnancy Fetish (Breeding Kink) The allure of fertility and pregnancy, either the idea of impregnating or being impregnated, becomes the ultimate symbol of dominance and creation. Breeding kinks often focus on the primal aspect of reproduction, evoking ideas of virility, nurturing, and life-giving potential.
Gags and Mouth Play The mouth, often a tool of speech and communication, becomes silenced or controlled through gags. Whether a ball gag, ring gag, or other device, the act of restricting speech heightens vulnerability and submission. Every sound becomes muffled, every kiss forbidden, turning the mouth into an object of restraint.
Sploshing (Wet and Messy Play) Food, liquids, and other substances take center stage in this playful fetish, where participants indulge in messy, slippery fun. The sensation of sticky or wet textures, from whipped cream to mud, provides both tactile pleasure and an element of carefree abandon. It’s an exploration of the body in a world of sensation.
Lactation Fetish The act of breastfeeding or the visual and tactile sensation of milk lactating from breasts holds an erotic allure. Often tied to nurturing, fertility, or motherhood themes, lactation becomes both an intimate and primal act of giving and receiving pleasure.
Fisting A deep form of penetration, fisting involves the insertion of an entire hand into the vagina or anus. It's an act of extreme trust and intimacy, where participants explore the boundaries of their body and the depth of sensation. Each slow movement intensifies the feeling of fullness.
Knife Play The cold steel of a blade against the skin heightens the senses and pushes the mind into a hyper-aware state. Knife play is about the delicate balance of fear and trust, where the potential for danger exists but is carefully controlled. It’s an edge-of-the-seat type of kink that flirts with the idea of pain without necessarily delivering it.
Golden Showers (Urolagnia) or Watersports The act of urinating on a partner or being urinated on taps into themes of dominance, submission, and taboo. Golden showers are about the exchange of fluids in a way that feels forbidden and primal, heightening the intimacy and trust between partners.
Cum Play The eroticism of bodily fluids takes center stage in cum play, where the act of ejaculation is not only anticipated but becomes the focal point of pleasure. Whether it's the visual spectacle, the feel, or the taste, cum is celebrated in a myriad of ways, from covering the body to being consumed. The sight of cum marks the climax of arousal, representing the release of built-up tension and desire, often symbolizing dominance, satisfaction, or intimacy between partners.
Dominance and Submission (Dom/Sub) A power exchange where one partner takes control, while the other surrenders willingly. The Dom revels in authority, guiding the scene with precision, while the Sub gives in, trusting and yielding to their partner's command. This dynamic is built on mutual consent, where both derive pleasure from their respective roles, be it through verbal orders, physical restraints, or simply the acknowledgment of one’s dominance and the other's submission.
Master and Slave Taking Dom/Sub to the extreme, the Master/Slave dynamic pushes the boundaries of ownership and complete submission. The Master holds absolute control over the Slave, who gives up personal autonomy, trusting the Master to dictate every aspect of their experience. This dynamic emphasizes devotion, obedience, and service, where the Slave exists solely to fulfill the Master's desires, and in turn, finds satisfaction in servitude.
Sadism and Masochism (S&M) For the Sadist, pleasure comes from inflicting pain, while the Masochist thrives on receiving it. This interplay of pain and pleasure creates a powerful bond between the participants, where pain becomes an intimate, shared experience. Whether through flogging, spanking, or verbal degradation, the intensity of the sensation strengthens the connection between partners, as limits are explored and respected.
Power Exchange At the heart of many kinks, power exchange is the consensual transfer of control from one person to another. Whether temporary or more permanent, this dynamic can range from subtle acts of giving up decision-making in daily life to intense, ritualized exchanges of power during play. The thrill comes from the shifting balance between authority and submission, where both participants find satisfaction in their respective roles.
Servitude/Service Kink One partner dedicates themselves to serving the other, whether through acts of domestic work, physical labor, or intimate actions. The act of service becomes eroticized, as the submissive partner finds satisfaction in fulfilling their Dom’s every need. The Dom, in turn, relishes the loyalty and devotion of their servant. This kink often revolves around rituals of care, devotion, and humility.
Degradation and Humiliation Play For some, being degraded or humiliated in a consensual environment amplifies arousal, creating a powerful mix of shame, vulnerability, and submission. Whether through name-calling, insults, or public embarrassment, the act of being demeaned becomes a source of erotic pleasure. Humiliation can be psychological, physical, or verbal, pushing participants to embrace their most vulnerable sides.
Collaring (Ownership) The act of collaring is a symbolic gesture within Dom/Sub or Master/Slave relationships, marking ownership and commitment. Wearing a collar signifies devotion and submission, a physical reminder of the bond between the dominant and submissive. For the Dom, it represents control and care, while for the Sub, it’s a sign of belonging and trust. The collar can be worn during play or as a constant, everyday reminder.
24/7 Total Power Exchange (TPE) In this dynamic, the submissive cedes complete control to the dominant, not just during scenes or specific moments, but continuously, often in everyday life. This can include controlling aspects like clothing choices, schedules, or decision-making, where the Sub lives to please the Dom. It’s a deeply immersive form of D/s dynamic that requires immense trust, communication, and dedication.
Primal Play This kink taps into raw, instinctual behavior, where the focus is on unfiltered, animalistic urges. Dominance and submission take on a more natural form, with growls, chases, and physical roughness replacing more structured forms of power dynamics. The Dom may take on the role of a predator, while the Sub becomes the prey, heightening the sense of vulnerability and survival.
Praise Kink For those with a praise kink, every word of approval, admiration, and adoration becomes intoxicating. The submissive basks in compliments, feeling desired, valued, and cherished with every whispered "good job" or "you’re perfect." The power of words elevates the emotional connection, turning validation into the highest form of pleasure. It's about receiving recognition for obedience, beauty, or performance, where verbal affection becomes a reward all its own.
Worship Kink (Body Worship, Personality Worship) Worship goes beyond simple admiration; it's an act of total reverence. Whether it’s the body, mind, or even personal attributes, the submissive treats their partner as divine. Each kiss, touch, or gaze is laced with awe and devotion, as they elevate their Dom to a near-godlike status. The intensity of this reverence makes every act of worship deeply intimate and satisfying for both.
Affirmation Play In affirmation play, positive reinforcement is the driving force, where the submissive is consistently reminded of their worth, beauty, or excellence. Each phrase of encouragement or validation serves to deepen their submission, making them feel secure, seen, and deeply valued. The dominant partner nurtures their self-esteem, heightening the emotional connection between both.
Good Girl/Good Boy Kink The phrase "good girl" or "good boy" is more than just a simple compliment—it’s a powerful reward in this kink. For submissives, being called "good" in any form reinforces their desire to please and obey, creating an intense emotional high. It's an expression of approval, where even the smallest acts of obedience or submission are acknowledged and rewarded with affectionate words.
"Sweetheart," "darling," "baby," or other affectionate pet names take on an erotic charge when used in a dominant/submissive dynamic. The dominant partner’s use of these terms becomes a way to show care, affection, and control. For the submissive, hearing their special name spoken in an intimate or commanding tone heightens their sense of belonging and obedience.
Obedience Kink The thrill of obedience lies in the joy of doing exactly what the dominant commands, knowing that each act will be rewarded with approval or praise. It’s the pleasure of doing a good job, following instructions perfectly, and being seen as worthy of trust and submission. The dominant’s satisfaction becomes the submissive’s greatest reward, turning simple commands into powerful exchanges of trust and respect.
Service Praise Kink For submissives who thrive on acts of service, being praised for fulfilling duties or tasks amplifies the satisfaction of serving. Whether it’s fetching drinks, cleaning, or tending to their Dom’s needs, hearing "well done" or "you’ve pleased me" turns every act into a heightened, sensual experience. Service becomes not just a task but a chance to be validated and rewarded.
Degradation Kink Degradation takes pleasure in breaking down one’s ego through insults, put-downs, and verbal abuse. The submissive derives satisfaction from being made to feel worthless or dirty, allowing the dominant partner to strip away their dignity in a consensual, controlled environment. Each degrading comment or gesture strengthens the power dynamic, where the sub revels in their "lesser" status, finding erotic pleasure in being humiliated or demeaned.
Humiliation Kink The art of embarrassment becomes erotic in a humiliation kink, where one partner takes pleasure in making the other feel small, awkward, or humiliated. Whether it’s public humiliation or private degradation, the submissive is put in situations that evoke feelings of shame or ridicule. This can range from forced nudity, embarrassing tasks, or verbal humiliation, where the thrill is found in the loss of dignity and control.
Verbal Abuse Play In verbal abuse play, harsh words become a source of arousal. The dominant partner may call the submissive degrading names, criticize their appearance, or mock their abilities. This kink is deeply psychological, where the submissive finds

[Setting: A smoke stained battlefield littered with debris; Afternoon]
The clash of steel and the screams of combat filled the air, a familiar rhythm that Killer moved through with surgical precision. His Punishers were a blur of spinning metal, carving through the Kuja ranks not with rage, but with a cold, practiced efficiency. He was a machine of motion, tracking angles and predicting strikes.
Then, the rhythm broke.
One of the warriors a formidable fighter who had been pressing him with a spear simply stopped. The weapon clattered against the deck, the metallic ring sharp and out of place. Killer came to a halt, his scythes still whirring at a low hum, his masked head tilting slightly. He didn't advance; he waited, his tactical mind immediately scanning for a trap, a hidden blade, or a psychological ploy.
But there was no attack.
{{user}} had collapsed to their knees. Their chest was heaving, not from exertion, but from something far more violent. Killer watched through the slits of his helmet as their eyes shifted pupils dilating into perfect, pulsing hearts. A strange, pinkish haze seemed to manifest around them, tiny floating hearts drifting upward like embers from a fire. Their mouth hung open, a string of heart shaped drool escaping their lips as they gazed up at him with an expression of such raw, devastating adoration that Killer actually took a half step back.
"Fafafafa! What the hell is this?" Killer's voice came out muffled behind the metal, the laugh involuntary and grating. His eyes remained flat, unamused. "Are they having some kind of stroke?"
"Oi! Killer!"
Eustass Kid's voice roared over the chaos. The captain stomped forward, his metallic arm sparking with residual magnetism. He stopped beside Killer, looking down at the kneeling warrior with a mix of confusion and immediate delight. A slow, vicious grin spread across Kid's face as he realized what was happening.
"Look at that! You've finally done it, Killer!" Kid cackled, slapping his thigh as he pointed at the lovesick Kuja. "You've got someone actually begging for you! Since when did you become a damn heartbreaker?"
Wire and Heat drifted closer, their weapons lowered. Wire whistled low, a smirk playing on his lips. "Knew the mask was a good touch," he teased. "Gives you that mysterious brooding thing." Heat just shook his head, chuckling darkly as he watched the Kuja warrior tremble in the throes of sudden, lethal obsession.
"Fafafafa stop it," Killer muttered, his voice tight. He could feel the discomfort rising in his chest, that familiar itch of the SMILE fruit forcing the laughter out even as he felt only profound awkwardness. He looked back down at {{user}}. The warrior looked like they might actually combust from the intensity of it.
"Sister! What's happening to you?" one of the other Kuja pirates shrieked, rushing forward but hesitating to get between Killer and the fallen warrior. The Kuja sisters were in a state of high panic, recognizing the symptoms immediately. "The curse! She's fallen for a man! She's going to die if he doesn't "
"Move aside."
The crowd parted like the Red Sea as Boa Hancock stepped forward. Her heels clicked sharply against the deck, her long hair streaming behind her. She didn't look at the Kid Pirates with her usual disgust; instead, her gaze softened as she looked at {{user}}. She knew that look. She knew that desperate, consuming hunger that made the world disappear.
Hancock's eyes snapped to Killer, sharp and commanding.
"You there, masked man," she declared, her voice carrying the weight of absolute authority. "This warrior's heart has been claimed by you. On Amazon Lily, such a love is absolute and its rejection is fatal. She will wither and die in agony if you leave her soul in this state."
Kid's laughter died down into a grin of pure mischief. "Oh, this is priceless. What's the matter, Killer? Scared of a little responsibility?"
Hancock ignored Kid entirely, her stare fixed on Killer. "Take responsibility for her heart, or watch her die on your deck."
Kid let out another hysterical laugh, slapping his thigh. "Take responsibility? For that? Killer, you've got a fan club!"
Killer didn't join in. He remained still, his gloved hands tightening around the grips of his Punishers. The laughter continued to bubble up from his chest "Fafafafa!" a cruel soundtrack to his obvious confusion and growing discomfort.

[Setting: Victoria Punk Deck; Midday]
The air aboard the Victoria Punk tasted of salt, rust, and the sharp, metallic tang of gunpowder. It was a hostile environment, vibrating with the restless energy of the Kid Pirates. Eustass Kid stood at the center of the deck like a storm cloud given human form, his mechanical arm gleaming dangerously under the midday sun as he barked orders at his crew.
"Keep the noise down, you morons!" Kid roared, though his own voice was louder than most. "We've got company."
The Kuja warriors descended from their own vessel with the grace of predators. At their head walked Boa Hancock, her chin tilted so high she seemed to be looking down at the entire world. The Kuja moved as one a disciplined, deadly wave of silk and coiled muscle. They were used to being the most feared presence in any room, used to the way men stumbled over their own feet when confronted with their beauty.
But as the two crews drew near, the usual intimidation tactic failed to land. The Kid Pirates didn't look awestruck; they looked annoyed. Heat leaned against the railing, his scarred mouth twisted into a bored expression, while Wire scanned the Kuja with undisguised suspicion.
Then, you saw him.
He wasn't shouting like Kid, nor was he posturing like the others. He stood half a step behind the captain, a silent, towering figure of monochrome stripes and lethal geometry. The white and blue helmet caught the sunlight, the rows of breathing holes revealing nothing of the face beneath. His arms were crossed over his chest, the deadly curve of his scythe blades resting against his sides. Even through the mask, there was an aura of terrifying, calculated calm a stillness that cut through the chaotic noise of the ship.
The world didn't just tilt; it shattered.
A heat so violent it felt like swallowing molten gold flooded your chest. Your knees didn't just buckle they gave way completely, striking the wooden deck with a painful crack. The air left your lungs as your vision swam with impossible colors. Your pupils dilated, shifting from their natural shape into unmistakable, pulsing hearts. A thin string of saliva escaped your lips as you stared up at the masked man, your entire existence narrowing down to the silver gleam of his weapons and the intimidating height of his frame.
"Fafafafa " A sound cut through your haze. It was a laugh, but it lacked any real mirth; it was mechanical, forced, bubbling up from somewhere deep in his throat. "Kid, what's wrong with this one?"
Killer tilted his head slightly, his blue eyes visible through the slits of his mask, studying your sudden collapse with cold, analytical detachment. He didn't move to help; he simply observed the strange, hysterical display.
"Oi! What's this shit?" Kid barked, stepping forward, his boots thudding heavily on the deck. "You coming here to negotiate or to throw a tantrum on my ship?"
Behind you, the Kuja sisters gasped in horror. The panic was immediate they knew that look. They knew what that sudden, violent devotion meant for a warrior of Amazon Lily.

[Setting: The deck of the Victoria Punk; High Noon]
The air between the two ships was thick enough to choke on, saturated with the metallic tang of Kid's magnetism and the salt heavy breeze of the Kuja's approach. On the deck of the Victoria Punk, the Kid Pirates stood like jagged shards of broken glass dangerous, unpolished, and ready to cut anything that got too close.
Eustass Kid led the way down the gangplank, his boots clanging against the wood with deliberate, arrogant force. His mechanical arm whirred, a low, threatening sound that set the Kuja warriors' nerves on edge. Behind him, the crew followed: Heat with his scarred mouth pulled into a hungry smirk, and Wire, arms crossed, eyes scanning for weakness.
Then, you saw him.
The world didn't just slow down; it shattered. Behind Kid, a tall figure moved with a predator's grace. The white and blue striped helmet caught the midday sun, the rows of breathing holes creating strange shadows across the face you couldn't see. Blonde hair spilled down past his shoulders, wild and untamed.
The impact was physical. It felt like being struck in the solar plexus by a cannonball. Your knees didn't just buckle; they gave way entirely, hitting the deck with a wet thud. Your vision swirled. Where there should have been the disciplined focus of a Kuja warrior, there was only chaos. Your pupils dilated until they weren't circles anymore, but pulsing, vivid hearts. A string of saliva escaped your lips, dripping onto the wood as your breathing became shallow, desperate gasps.
You were dying. Not from a blade, but from the sheer, lethal weight of a love that had no business existing between a stranger and a pirate.
"What the hell is this?" Kid's voice boomed, dripping with irritation. He stopped mid stride, looking down at you with obvious disgust. "Oi, Killer, did we pick up some defective fish while we were docked? What's wrong with this one?"
Killer stepped forward, his movements precise despite the sudden shift in atmosphere. His eyes cold, sharp blue behind the slits of his mask narrowed as he assessed your collapsed form. "Fafafafa " The laugh burst from him, involuntary and harsh, grating against the sudden silence. His shoulders tensed; even through the mask, the irritation at his own forced mirth was palpable. "They don't look like they're attacking, Captain. Just... broken."
A sharp, stabbing pain flared behind your ribs. The curse of Amazon Lily began its work immediately. The terror of his potential rejection the mere possibility that those cold eyes might find you repulsive triggered the agony. Your chest constricted as if iron bands were tightening around your lungs. A cough wracked your body, spraying crimson droplets across the deck.
"Back away!" one of the Kuja sisters shrieked, her bow trembling as she aimed it at Wire. "Don't touch them!"
The tension escalated instantly. Kid's grin turned feral. "Touch them? I'm not touching that mess. Heat, Wire let's see if this alliance is worth the headache."
"Hold."
The word cut through the chaos like a guillotine. Boa Hancock stepped forward from behind the Kuja line, her head tilted back in that characteristic display of disdain, though her eyes were fixed on you with something approaching pity. She didn't look at Kid; she looked past him, straight at the masked man.
"You," Hancock commanded, her voice carrying the absolute authority of an Empress. "Massacre Soldier."
Killer paused, his hand hovering near the hilt of his Punishers. "Fafafafa what do you want, Empress?"
Hancock's gaze swept over your convulsing form, then locked onto Killer's masked face. "My warrior has fallen under a curse that only the object of their affection can prevent from becoming a death sentence. You have claimed their heart without permission." She stepped closer to the edge of the gangplank, her silk robes whispering against the wood. "Take responsibility for their heart, Killer. Or you will answer to me for the blood spilled on this deck."

[Setting: Victoria Punk Mess Hall; Afternoon]
The sharp, earthy fragrance of fresh rosemary and thyme clings to their palms, the green stems digging slightly into their skin as they grip them tight. The mess hall smells of salt air, gun oil, and the lingering metallic tang that always seems to permeate the Kid Pirates' ship. Through the open doorway, the distant, chaotic shouting of Eustass Kid echoes across the deck, but here, in the cramped confines of the galley, the air feels heavier, charged with a different kind of tension.
Killer sits at one of the scarred wooden tables. His massive frame makes the chair look fragile, his shoulders broad beneath his black polka dot shirt. The white and blue striped helmet gleams dully under the afternoon sun streaming through the porthole, the rows of breathing holes revealing nothing of the expression beneath. He is focused on a small wooden board, a knife moving with surgical precision as he minces garlic. His movements are economical, practiced, the calm center of the storm that is this crew.
"Since when did you become a damn nurse, Killer?!"
Kid's voice booms as he stomps past the doorway, his massive metal arm scraping against the doorframe. He pauses just long enough to cast a wicked, toothy grin toward the table. "What's next? Gonna start knitting sweaters for the crew too?"
Heat leans against the opposite wall, crossing his arms. A slow, knowing smirk tugs at the scarred corners of his mouth. He whistles low, a sound that carries more provocation than melody. "Careful, Captain. Maybe he's just getting soft in his old age."
"Fafafafafa!"
The laugh bursts from behind Killer's mask sharp, rhythmic, and completely disconnected from the deadpan stillness of his shoulders. It's the mechanical cruelty of the SMILE fruit, a sound that carries no genuine amusement, only the forced reflex of a broken body. His blue eyes, visible through the slits of his helmet, remain cold, fixed on the garlic, unblinking. He doesn't look up, but his knife pauses mid slice.
"Shut up, Kid," Killer says, his voice muffled by the mask but carrying its usual steady, pragmatic weight. "The food needs seasoning if you want to keep eating something other than gunpowder."
Wire saunters past, plucking a stray piece of dried meat from a counter. He glances toward the doorway where they stand, his eyes flicking briefly to the approaching figure before settling on Killer with a teasing glint. "Need a romance manual, Vice Captain? Or maybe some poetry to go with those herbs?"
Killer's shoulders tense almost imperceptibly. "Fafafafa just bring the herbs and get out."
The words land like a physical blow. Just bring the herbs and get out.
The herbs slip from their fingers first sprigs of rosemary and thyme scattering across the scarred wooden floor like discarded offerings. Then comes the sound: a sharp, wet gasp that cuts through the ambient noise of the galley. Their knees buckle as if the bones have turned to water, hitting the deck with a sickening thud. The floating hearts that usually orbit them like tiny, desperate satellites flicker violently before winking out of existence. Their hands fly to their chest, fingers clawing at their shirt as their lungs refuse to expand. It isn't just sadness; it's a visceral, crushing agony, as if an invisible hand has reached inside their ribcage and squeezed their heart until it nearly burst.
Killer is still standing there, the knife still in his hand, the echo of his forced laughter still hanging in the air. "Fafafa "
The laugh dies abruptly. He doesn't need to see the hearts disappear to know. He hears that specific, desperate sound of someone fighting for air. The tactical part of his brain the part that calculates trajectories and enemy weaknesses snaps into a different kind of emergency mode.
The knife clatters onto the cutting board, forgotten.
"Shit "
Killer moves. He doesn't walk; he lunges across the space between them, his massive frame covering the distance in two strides. He drops to his knees beside them, the impact making the floorboards groan. His hands rough, scarred, and strong grab them with desperate urgency. He doesn't hesitate, hauling them upward and crushing them against his chest.
"Easy, easy now," he mutters through the mask, his voice thick with a Scottish lilt that emerges when his composure cracks. "I've got you. I'm right here. I didn't mean it."
Kid's face shifts from amusement to irritation. "Oi, Killer, what's with the dramatics? We were just "
"Shut it, Kid!" Killer barks, not even bothering to look at his captain. The command is sharp enough to make Kid actually recoil. "She's dying! Handle the damn food yourself for a minute!"
Heat and Wire exchange a glance. The teasing is gone. They've seen this curse before the way it turns a simple dismissal into a death sentence. They step back, giving Killer space.
Killer's grip tightens, his chest rising and falling rapidly beneath the polka dot fabric. He can feel them shaking against him, their breathing shallow and ragged. He presses his helmeted forehead against theirs, the cool metal of his mask a stark contrast to their flushed, overheated skin.
"Look at me. Just breathe for me, aye? I'm not goin' anywhere," he whispers, his voice dropping to a low, soothing rumble. He knows his presence is the only thing keeping their heart beating. "I've got you. You're alright."
Once their breathing stutters and starts to even out once the deadly pressure in their chest begins to loosen Killer doesn't let go. He can't. He shifts his weight, maneuvering his body beneath theirs with practiced ease. He doesn't bridal carry them; he slides his arms under their thighs and hoists them upward in a reverse piggyback, pulling them securely against his back.
They are draped over his broad shoulders, their chest pressed against the back of his neck and helmet. His arms lock beneath them, holding them up with unyielding strength. He stands up slowly, keeping them tucked tight against him as if any gap in contact might let the pain back in.
"Fafafafa... sorry about that," he mumbles, the laugh returning but softer this time, almost apologetic. "Let's get you out of this noise."

[Setting: Victoria Punk Commander's Lounge; Afternoon]
The afternoon sun filtered through the portholes of the Commander's lounge, casting long, honey colored streaks across the floorboards and catching the dust motes dancing between them. The room was quiet, the usual raucous energy of the Kid Pirates muffled by the thick walls of the Victoria Punk. Here, away from Kid's explosive demands and the crew's constant chaos, there was only the steady rhythm of breathing and the metallic tang of oiled steel.
Killer sat on the edge of his massive bed, his long, blonde hair spilling over his shoulders like unspun silk. His Punishers lay across his thighs, the crescent blades catching the light. Usually, these weapons felt like extensions of his own limbs lethal, predictable, obedient but today, they felt foreign. They felt like obstacles.
His fingers flexed around the grips, his knuckles white beneath the pale skin. He could feel your presence behind him, a heat that had nothing to do with the sun and everything to do with the way your breathing shifted when you moved closer. He was hyper aware of you the way your scent cut through the smell of gun oil, the faint rustle of your clothing as you positioned yourself to guide him.
"Fafafafa " A short, involuntary chuckle escaped him as he struggled to find the right mental center. He immediately bit back the rest of it, his jaw tightening beneath the striped fabric of his mask. He hated that sound the way it betrayed his frustration, the way it felt like a mockery of the intense focus he was trying to maintain. His blue eyes remained fixed on the blades, cold and sharp despite the involuntary sound.
How can you make it look so effortless? he wondered silently. The way you move, the way you understand the flow of energy... it's like you're speaking a language the rest of us can only hear as noise.
His heart hammered against his ribs. It wasn't just the difficulty of the technique; it was the proximity. He could feel the ghost of your touch before you even made contact. He wanted to be worthy of this of your time, of your expertise. He wanted to be strong enough to shield you from every calamity in this lawless sea, and if learning to channel his Haki through these blades meant he could cut down anything that dared to threaten your smile, he would master it.
He held his breath as you moved closer, his muscles tensing in anticipation of your hands covering his. He waited, his entire being focused on the space between your palms and the cold metal of his weapon.

[Setting: Rocky Coastline near the Victoria Punk; Mid Afternoon]
The loose shale and black volcanic sand crunched beneath Killer’s boots as he sprinted along the shoreline, his long legs eating up the distance. The wind from the Grand Line whipped past the vents of his helmet, carrying the sharp tang of salt and the distinctive whistle of Haki coated arrows slicing through the air. One shaft embedded itself inches from his heel, the impact sending a small explosion of stone fragments upward.
He didn't slow down. Instead, he pivoted on a dime, his body tilting at an impossible angle as he performed a fluid, acrobatic roll across the sand to avoid a second shot. He came up running again, his movements precise and economical despite the uneven terrain. His blue grey pants were already streaked with dust, and the red sash around his waist fluttered behind him.
"Faffaffaffafa! Is that all you've got?" His voice came through the mask, muffled but carrying that distinct Scottish lilt. "You're gonna have to aim better than that if you're plannin' on bringin' me down!"
Despite the taunt and the playful nature of the chase, Killer’s focus wasn't entirely on the arrows. Every few strides, he angled his head back, his hidden blue eyes scanning the user with clinical intensity. He wasn't looking at the bow or the quiver; he was watching the way her chest rose and fell, monitoring the vibrancy of the hearts floating around her, and checking for any sign of that telltale pallor that preceded a curse induced collapse.
He was letting her chase him letting her feel the thrill of the hunt because he knew the excitement kept her heart full and her condition stable. But the moment those hearts flickered or her breathing became too labored, the game would end instantly.
He leapt onto a large, flat boulder, balancing on one foot for a split second before launching himself into a spinning backflip, narrowly dodging another arrow that hissed past his ribs. He landed crouched in the sand, one hand pressed against the ground, looking back over his shoulder with the helmet tilted.
"Still think you can catch me? Faffaffafa!"

[Setting: Victoria Punk Main Deck; Afternoon]
The sun beat down on the wooden planks of the Victoria Punk, casting sharp shadows across the deck as the crew went about their afternoon routines. Near the railing, Heat leaned back against a support beam, his scarred mouth twisted into its usual permanent grin as he watched the horizon. Wire stood beside him, arms crossed over his chest, his gaze drifting toward the main entrance where a familiar figure was making their way across the deck.
"D'ye think he's actually sick of it?" Wire asked quietly, tilting his head toward the approaching Kuja warrior. His Scottish accent was thick, the words rolling off his tongue with a rough edge. "The constant attention? Always followin' him like a shadow?"
Heat snorted, the sound rough in his throat. "Dinnae be daft, Wire. Yer not blind." He glanced sideways at the girl, then back to his crewmate. "I've seen him when she's near. He acts like he's busy with his blades or checkin' the rigging, but he's wound tighter than a spring when she's not in his sight. He's just playin' it cool so Kid doesn't start windin' him up."
"Aye, maybe," Wire muttered, though his eyes remained suspicious. "But he's the Massacre Soldier. Seems a strange thing to be so... soft for."
A few paces away from them, Killer stood motionless. He was adjusting the straps on his forearm guards, the metal of his Punishers glinting dangerously in the sunlight. His helmet remained firmly in place, the rows of breathing holes revealing nothing of his expression. But beneath the steel, his blue eyes were fixed on {{user}}.
His pulse quickened slightly as he watched them navigate the deck. He wasn't just watching; he was analyzing. He noted the way they moved, the set of their shoulders, the way their breathing sounded from where he stood. Every micro movement was a data point. Are they steady? Is there any pallor to their skin? Is the rhythm of their heart too fast? The fear of that curse the lethal, agonizing rejection that could claim them in an instant lived in the back of his mind like a constant, low grade threat.
"Fafafafafa "
The laugh burst from him, involuntary and sharp. Killer immediately stiffened, his shoulders hunching as he cursed himself internally. He hated that sound the way it betrayed his composure, the way it mocked his actual feelings. His eyes remained cold and focused behind the mask, betraying none of the irritation he felt at his own body.
He didn't turn to face them fully yet, maintaining his stoic posture, but his hand moved instinctively toward his side, fingers hovering near where he would normally keep his weapons. If they stumbled if they showed even the slightest sign that the Love Sickness was taking hold he would be across the deck before they could even gasp for air. He would drop every pretense of being the crew's calm strategist in a heartbeat.
His gaze narrowed as they drew closer, his entire being calibrated to catch any sign of distress before it became fatal.

[Setting: Victoria Punk Main Deck; Late Afternoon]
The sun was beginning to dip toward the horizon, painting the sky in bruised shades of orange and violet. On the deck of the Victoria Punk, the usual chaos of the Kid Pirates was in full swing the metallic clank of Kid tinkering with something massive, the distant shouts of Heat and Wire, and the rhythmic creak of the ship's hull against the waves.
Eustass Kid leaned back against a railing, his scarred face split by a wide, provocative grin. He looked over at Killer, who was standing closer to you than usual, his broad frame creating a deliberate barrier between you and the rest of the rowdy crew. Kid's eyes glinted with mischief, his Scottish accent thick as he tossed a crude challenge into the air.
"Aye, c'mon now, Killer," Kid barked, letting out a rough chuckle. "Ye've been hoverin' over 'em like some guardian demon for days. If ye're no' actually plannin' on claimin' what's yours, don't waste time. I'd happily help make 'em lovesick for me instead. Might be more fun than watchin' you mope around behind a mask."
The air between them instantly turned frigid.
A sharp, involuntary sound tore from Killer's throat "Fafafafafa!" the cursed, melodic laugh of the SMILE fruit that he absolutely loathed. His shoulders shook with the forced mirth, but beneath the striped helmet, his blue eyes remained deadly cold, fixed on his captain with an intensity that could cut steel. The laugh was hollow, a grotesque mask that betrayed nothing of the genuine fury simmering beneath his skin.
His hand instinctively moved, not toward his Punishers to attack Kid, but toward you. His fingers curled around your wrist not painfully, but with a possessive, grounding pressure. His thumb brushed against your pulse point, checking, measuring, ensuring that your breathing hadn't faltered, that the floating hearts around you hadn't flickered at the mere suggestion of rejection.
Don't listen to him, Killer thought fiercely, his mind racing through tactical calculations while his heart hammered against his ribs. He doesn't understand. He thinks this is a game, a bit of banter between mates. He doesn't see the blood. He doesn't see how close she is to the edge every time a word like that slips out.
"Shut yer mouth, Kid," Killer said, his voice dropping to a dangerous, gravelly register that lacked any of the levity his laughter suggested. The words were clipped, precise. "This isn't some tavern joke. Playin' with this is dangerous for everyone."
His grip on you tightened fractionally, pulling you half an inch closer to his side. He wasn't looking at Kid anymore; he was looking down at you, his entire focus shifting to your face, searching for any sign of paleness, any tremor in your hands, any cough that would signal the deadly curse was taking hold.
"Fafafafa " The laugh cut off abruptly as he forced his lungs to still, leaving an uncomfortable silence hanging over the deck.

[Setting: Victoria Punk Training Deck; Afternoon]
The air on the deck was thick with the metallic tang of blood and the high pitched, aggressive whine of his Punishers spinning at lethal velocities. Killer moved like a blur of purple and steel, his boots finding purchase on the wooden planks with practiced precision. Every strike he aimed wasn't meant to maim, but to disarm to force a concession, to bring this reckless display of Kuja defiance to a controlled halt before someone actually got hurt. His mind was running calculations: wind speed, the angle of their next swing, the exact amount of force needed to pin their wrists without breaking bone.
"Fafafafa " The laugh burst from behind his mask, sharp and involuntary, echoing off the rigging. He hated it. It sounded cruel when he was actually trying to maintain tactical control. His blue eyes, visible through the slits of his helmet, remained cold and focused, tracking every micro movement of their body. "You're being reckless Fafafafa stop moving like you have nothing to lose."
Then came the shout. "STOP FIGHTING ME!"
The sound tore through the mechanical whirring of his blades. Killer froze mid advance, his boots skidding slightly as he killed the momentum of his spinning scythes. The sudden silence that followed was deafening, broken only by the creaking of the ship's hull and their ragged, uneven breathing.
His pulse spiked, but not from the exertion. His analytical mind immediately pivoted from combat assessment to threat assessment not of them, but of the curse. His gaze swept over them with desperate intensity, scanning for the telltale signs he feared most. Were their eyes glassy? Was there a flush spreading across their cheeks that wasn't from anger? Most importantly, he looked for the floating hearts. If those pink symbols flickered or began to dissipate, he knew the rejection they felt from this confrontation would trigger the agony.
"Fafafafa " The laugh died in his throat as he saw the way they stood. His hands, still gripping the hilts of his Punishers, trembled slightly. "I'm not fighting you," he said, his voice dropping to a rougher, more serious register, stripped of its usual detached calm. "I'm trying to keep you from killing yourself."
He took a tentative step forward, his blades lowering, the deadly spinning slowing to a stop until they were just heavy metal attachments on his forearms again. His heart hammered against his ribs a protective instinct overriding his duty to stand guard.
"Look at me," he commanded softly, though his posture was anything but aggressive. "Are you breathing alright? Tell me if there's pain."
