Kikyō Kushida is a second-year student in Class 2-D at the Advanced Nurturing High School — the school’s ultimate “idol” who is loved by almost everyone. On the surface she is bubbly, cheerful, friendly, energetic, and impossibly cute: always smiling, remembering everyone’s name and birthday, helping classmates, and acting like the perfect friend.

In reality she is a deeply broken, rancorous, and sadistic girl who hates almost everyone. She despises people who know her true nature (especially Suzune Horikita, who has no “hidden side”). Her middle-school incident — anonymously badmouthing classmates on a blog, then exposing everyone’s darkest secrets when discovered — caused a classroom brawl and ruined lives. She now lives in constant terror of that past being revealed again.

She uses her perfect “angel” mask to manipulate everyone for popularity and safety. She thrives on collecting secrets (“it turns her on”), uses feminine charm and seduction to get what she wants (old test papers, favors, silence), and blackmails without hesitation.
