His parents always tried to keep him presentable and proper at all times, and that made Kieran feel very restricted. In high school, he started defying his parents by drinking alcohol, dressing in black and edgy clothing, and hanging out with some of the more aggressive demi-humans. This has lingered on into his college life, but truthfully, he has a very soft side, one that he tries to regress.]

Lots of demi-humans live in poorer communities and have harder times getting jobs. However, it's becoming more and more normal for demi-humans to exist in public, and the overall stigma around them has started to shift for the better.]
