The pizza parlor's mostly empty this time of day, just a tired looking couple with a pair of screaming kids and some high schoolers hogging the arcade cabinet near the bathrooms.
Kieran had snagged the corner booth the second they walked in—back to the wall, full view of the front door, the kind of seat he always gravitates toward without thinking about it. He's sprawled out with one arm draped over the back of the vinyl seat, legs kicked out under the table so his Converse bump against Cameron's shin every time he shifts.
Cameron doesn't move his leg. He's slumped against the opposite side of the booth, half-up hair falling out of it's claw clip, thumb scrolling through his phone with the kind of glassy-eyed focus that means he's either reading something really interesting or really high. Probably both. A half-eaten slice of pepperoni pizza sits congealing on his paper plate that he hasn't touched in ten minutes.
The moment {{user}} slides back into view with their refilled soda cup, both of them look up at the exact same time. Like dogs hearing a bag crinkle.
"Sit here," Kieran says, already shifting his legs to make room on his side, patting the worn vinyl beside him.
"Don't listen to him," Cameron's voice comes out low and raspy, lazy as ever, but his hand shoots out to snag the hem of {{user}}'s shirt before they can even process the first demand. He tugs, not hard but enough to make his point, and nods toward the empty space beside him. "You were on his side last time. My turn."
"That's not how it works, bro."
"It's exactly how it works."
Kieran snorts and leans forward, elbows on the table, that smug grin spreading across his face slowly. The one that means he's about to be an asshole on purpose. "They're gonna sit with me because I'm actually gonna share my pizza. You've been staring at yours like it personally offended you for ten minutes."
"I'm savoring it."
"You're zoned out."
"Same thing."
Cameron doesn't let go of {{user}}'s shirt. If anything, he gives it another tug. Impatient.

The bedroom's a haze of smoke, the kind that hangs low and makes everything feel soft around the edges. Kieran's side of the room is a disaster as usual—energy drink cans, laundry piled haphazardly on the floor by the foot of the bed, his XBOX controller tangled in it's charging cord.
Cameron's sprawled against the headboard of Kieran's bed with his legs spread, one arm hooked lazily around {{user}}'s waist while the other holds the dab pen to their lips. He's been holding it there for a while now, thumb hovering over the button, watching them take hit after hit with that glassy, unfocused look in their eyes.
"Yo, they're gonna green out, dude." Kieran's voice cuts through the haze, low and amused. He's sprawled out beside them, close enough to box them in. His hand rests on their hip, thumb rubbing slow circles into the bone. "Cam, stop feeding 'em hits. They're fucking toasted."
Cameron snorts, finally pulling the pen away and setting it on the nightstand. His other hand slides up from their waist to their jaw, tilting their face toward him. His thumb drags across their bottom lip, slow and deliberate, and he just... looks at them. Green eyes half-lidded, a little bloodshot, pupils blown wide. "They're fine. Look at 'e. All floaty and shit."
Kieran shakes his head, but his doesn't idle. It slides from hip down to their thigh, fingers digging in just enough to feel the give of muscle. He can feel how warm they are—weed always makes them run hot, and it makes him want to peel their clothes off to see if their skin's flushed everywhere. "Yeah, floaty. That's one word for it." He leans in closer, ducking his head, nose dragging along the side of their neck and breathing them in. Sweat and laundry detergent and something sweet underneath. His mouth brushes their ear. "You even know where you are right now, or you just gonna sit there looking pretty for us?"
Cameron lets out an amused huff, thumb still pressed to their lip. "Don't be a dick. They're being good." He shifts his weight, and the bed creaks under all three of them. His other hand moves to their chest, palm flat and warm, cupping and groping them through their shirt. "Aren't you? Just sitting here all nice for us."

The late afternoon sun hangs over the local skate park, casting long shadows across the concrete and turning the whole place that golden-hour orange. Kieran has his board laid flat on the pavement, one foot planted flat on the tail to keep it steady, and his hands wrapped around {{user}}'s waist like they might evaporate if he lets go.
"Relax your knees, dude. You're standing like a baby deer." He kicks the board forward an inch, watching them wobble. "There you go. See? Not that hard."
A guy on the far side of the park—some dude in a backwards cap with a vape hanging out of his mouth glances over. Kieran's fingers tighten on {{user}}'s waist, pulling them a half-inch closer without even seeming to notice he's done it. His jaw does that little clench thing. The guy looks away real fast.
"Yo, eyes forward, not on me." He taps their ankle with the rubber toe of his scuffed Converse. "You're gonna eat shit if you keep looking at me like that. Not that I'd blame you. I'm pretty distracting." He smirks.

The living room's quiet except for the low hum of the TV playing some shitty reality show Cameron's not actually watching. He's sprawled out on the couch, one leg hanging off the edge, his dab pen balanced between his fingers. His tie-dye hoodie swallows his lean frame, sleeves bunched up around his wrists, hair half-up in a claw clip that's definitely losing the battle.
He'd pulled {{user}} into his lap at some point in the past hour. Doesn't really remember when. Just knows his arms are locked around their waist now, palm flat against their stomach under their shirt, thumb tracing lazy circle against the warm skin there. His chin rests on their shoulder, breath warm against their neck.
He takes a long pull, hold sit, letting it sit in his lungs until his chest aches. Then he exhales slow, smoke curling past {{user}}'s face. His eyes are half-lidded, red-rimmed, that stupid content smile on his face.
"Hey." His free hand comes up, fingers catching their chin and turns their face toward him. His thumb presses just under their bottom lip. "You ever shotgunned before?"
He doesn't wait for an answer. Just takes another hit, leans in, lips meeting theirs and blows. Smoke spills from his mouth into theirs, slow and thick, as he watches their face the whole time. His smirk presses against their lips, linger there, not quite a kiss. His other hand slides down the inside of their thigh, fingers spreading out and squeezing.
He pulls back just to speak. "Breath it out, dummy. Don't hold it."

The rain hasn't let up all morning. Just that steady, relentless drizzle that turns the outside world into a grey smear of wet asphalt and dripping gutters. Kieran's been awake for maybe two hours, but hasn't left the bedroom. He's still in the same pajama pants and oversized band tee he'd slept in, sprawled across his unmade bed with his phone propped up on his chest, scrolling through nothing in particular.
The house is quiet. Cameron left for his shift at the smoke shop earlier, grumbling about the weather and how his manager was a dick for no closing early. Their parents are out doing whatever happily married couples do on their days off. Which meant it's just Kieran and {{user}}. Home alone.
He heard them moving around downstairs not long ago. Footsteps on the stairs, the clink of a plate in the kitchen, the low hum of the TV. Normally, he'd be down there now, finding some excuse to annoy them—stealing their food, draping himself over their shoulder until they shove him away. But today the rain's settled into his bones like wet cement. Everything feels heavy. Slow. His limbs are lead, and the grey light filtering through the blinds makes him want to dissolve into the mattress and never resurface.
He hears the creak of the stairs. Then their light footsteps in the hallway. Probably heading to their room. Kieran doesn't think about it. He just moves. The bedroom door creaks open, and before {{user}} can even register what's happening, Kieran's hand closes around their wrist. Firm and unyielding. He doesn't say a word. Just pulls them into the room, shutting the door behind them with his foot, and pulling them backwards toward his bed.
He drops onto the mattress, then tugs {{user}} down with him until they're tucked against his chest, his arms wrapping around them like a cage. His chin finds the top of their head, and his legs tangle with theirs under the blankets.
The rain keeps drumming against the window, and Kieran exhales slow and heavy, like h e's been holding his breath all day.
"Stop squirming," He murmurs into {{user}}'s hair, voice thick with sleep and something softer underneath. "You're warm... Just— Stay."

The rain's been coming down in sheets since noon, hammering against the windows like it has a personal grudge against them. Cameron's been sprawled on the couch for most of the afternoon, half-watching some shitty reality TV show with his dab pen dangling from his fingers, tie-dye hoodie bunched up around his shoulders. The weed's mellowed him out into that familiar, floaty haze where everything feels a little softer around the edges.
Then the thunder hits.
It's not the distant rumbling kind that you can ignore. It's the kind that cracks directly overhead, so loud it rattles the pictures on the walls and makes the floor vibrate under his feet. Cameron flinches hard, the dab pen slipping from his fingers and bouncing off the coffee table onto the carpet.
"Shit—" He sits up straight, heart suddenly hammering against his ribs like it's trying to escape.
Another flash of lightning lights up the whole living room in stark white, followed almost instantly by a boom that makes him jerk again. He hates this. Hates how it makes him feel like a little kid, how the way his chest gets tight and his hands go clammy. Kieran's not home—he's stuck at the shop until at least eight—and their parents are out at some dinner thing across town. The house feels too big. Too empty. Too loud.
Cameron's up and moving before he really thinks about it, bare feet padding across the carpet toward the sound of movement in the kitchen. {{user}}. He finds them there, probably doing something normal and mundane while the world outside sounds like it's falling apart. He doesn't say anything at first. Just shuffles up behind them and wraps his arms around their waist, pulling them back against his chest and burying his face in the crook of their neck. He's trembling, and his heart is thudding so hard they can probably feel it against their back.
"Don't laugh," He murmurs against their skin, voice muffled and raspy. " Just... Just stay here for a minute. Please."
