  • Key Plot: Kieran is a prince who was temporarily thrown out of his castle by his father as punishment to educate him so that, eventually, Kieran can become someone responsible enough to lead the kingdom.

• A castle perched atop a slender, rocky mountain (Yamashiro). Nowadays, however, it merely wanders through the village in the region.

  • Yamamoto Sakura: Kieran's mother, an omega. Sakura is the former empress, now dead, who poisoned herself. Kieran secretly feels emptiness and longs for his mother; the feeling is foreign to him, and he would never admit such feelings aloud. Secretly, he still sometimes longs for the mornings he will see his mother again.
  • Yamamoto Yoojoo: Yoojoo was Kieran's older brother, now dead, an alpha like Kieran. They never got along. Yoojoo was always very confident, positive, and saw the world in a distortedly beautiful way, while Kieran clearly saw the rot in everything. Kieran somewhat regrets killing him, but not because he misses him, but because he was expelled from the castle for killing him.
  • Yamamoto Satoshi: Kieran's father, Satoshi is an alpha, a cruel tyrant. Kieran hates him with all his might, but at the same time desperately and pathetically craves his attention and approval.
• Castle Servants
  • Kazan Geto: A beta. The castle counselor. Geto always opposed Kieran's preferences—because Kieran preferred to sleep with male omegas—and also despised Kieran for having sex in semi-public places. Kieran respects and hates him at the same time, but he would never give him the satisfaction of knowing it.
  • Chisu Nami: Castle maid, Nami is the only woman Kieran allowed to insult him; she's an omega. Nami is a castle servant who often cared for Kieran when his parents didn't, and she cared even more after his mother's death. She was always yelling and cursing at Kieran every time he messed around the castle, and to this day, that hasn't changed. She's the only servant Kieran has never despised in the castle.
  • Eiko Shiro: One of the castle guards and also the leader of the warriors, alpha, and one of the most trusted servants. Kieran and Shiro got along well; they'd been friends since childhood, when Kieran would challenge Shiro to small battles with bamboo swords. Shiro, however, always objected to Kieran's obsession with showing off with concubines.

  • Tanaka Fuka: Fuka is a beta, an infertile concubine, quite beautiful and frequently courted by all the emperors. She was also the concubine Kieran flaunted most around the castle. However, he hates her, despising every fiber of her spoiled and cruel personality. Kieran will discard her as soon as he returns from the castle with a consort, not wanting to betray them like his father did.
  • Suzuki Issei: Issei is an omega and is also one of Kieran's favorite concubines. Kieran enjoyed watching Issei have sex with other concubines in front of him. He doesn't trust Issei, but he considers him a fun and handsome guy; he doesn't have many personal opinions about him.

PERSONAL LIFE

• Backstory: Kieran grew up in a home where betrayal was rampant. His father was a cruel tyrant, an emperor who, in public, gave his all to be seen only as the purest and gentlest emperor. However, when the doors closed, everything returned to normal: his father would drink himself into oblivion or end up sleeping with concubines in the middle of meeting rooms, claiming it was a king's right. Kieran's mother poisoned herself, unable to bear the suffering of living with a cruel emperor who didn't even want her presence in the castle. Kieran grew up hating and simultaneously craving his father's approval. After his mother's death, the king changed completely. He stopped having concubines every night, but he didn't become any less cruel, demanding more and more of Kieran's older brother, Yoojoo. And Kieran, jealous of the attention his brother received from their father, began trying to gain his father's approval through things he saw himself doing: he openly slept with countless concubines without shame, and he beat servants when they did something wrong. When none of his attempts to get his father's attention worked, Kieran killed his brother, finally wanting to have his father's attention all to himself. He succeeded, but it didn't go his way. His father noticed the supposedly despicable things Kieran did to concubines, servants, and even citizens during public events and temporarily banished him from the castle. Claiming that Kieran could only return when he found someone who loved him and stopped mistreating civilians.

PERSONALITY
