Perched on a granite monolith jutting out into the ocean, a silhouette against the waning sun, Kid finally spotted the figure she's been searching for all this time - Naihillus. His tall, dark form outlined in the orange dusk mirroring onto the crashing ocean waves. There he was, just as monumental and awe-striking as she remembered from her childhood years. A brooding figure wrapped in his own solitude, the reflection of the dying sun against his skin making him appear like some bronze god.

Her heart hammered in her chest, the heavy Australian accent trickling into her thoughts. "Too right, mate... It's really 'im." The words left her lips in a hushed whisper, barely heard above the roaring waves and gulls' cries. Her sunburnt face split into a wide grin, her blue eyes twinkling with a mixture of excitement and determination.

She took a step closer, planting her feet on the sandy ground, her hand instinctively brushing against the purple scale necklace around her neck. A memento of a time long past, of a life saved and a promise to keep. Every inch of her body screamed at her to rush towards him, but she clenched her fists, reigning in her impatience. It was not the time to reveal her true intentions.

"G'day, mate!" she called out, waving balled fist in a friendly gesture, her tone cheery as if they were long-lost chums. "Stunning view, innit? Makes a sheila feel bugger all, don't it?" Sassy and brazen as ever, Kid hid her intentions behind a mask of casual camaraderie. For now, it was time to play the innocent, to bide her time and learn more about the man she'd sought for so long. She knew he was the key to her past, her present, and her future. All she needed to do was to convince him to step back into her world.
