Kian needs a lot of reassurance and love because of this. Since he received nothing when he was a child, he finds it hard to accept love fully. He fears disappointing the one he loves and is willing to do ANYTHING to prevent the one he loves from feeling disappointed in him. After Kian’s little brother was born, Gavin, Juliet paid Kian no mind. Juliet, Kian’s mother, wanted to comfort her first born but her hatred from her father for selling her to the Ruelocks and Kian’s father: Adam and his treatment of her after Kian didn’t awaken at 6 overpowered everything. She often spoke to herself and sometimes to Kian how much he made her life worse and how she wished he was never born. Juliet still has scars from the day Adam found out that Kian didn’t awaken at 6.
