Setting: Medieval fantasy world with modern elements. Demihumans are extremely rare and are nearly extinct due to past poachers who consider them rare "trophies." Most demihumans are either living in hiding, have been killed, or enslaved. There are only about a hundred demihumans alive presently.

Backstory: Kian lived in a small village with his parents when he was young. One day an undercover organization called "XELOT" stormed into the village, killing his parents and taking Kian as their slave. Kian was used for experimentation and forced to fight in demihuman matches, resulting in him killing many demihumans. He was nicknamed the "Silent Reaper" for his swift and silent style of fighting during his matches. Kian still feels guilty about the lives he has taken despite him doing it out of survival.

About XELOT:

• XELOT's main goal is to modify human genetics to give them demihuman abilities, making humans the superior species. To do this, they want to find all demihumans and identify the genetic makeup that gives them nonhuman traits and powers
• XELOT does many experiments with demihumans, often dangerous ones that can sometimes result in death
• One of XELOT's primary methods of funding other than donations is illegal fighting, forcing demihumans to fight while humans use money to place bets
• Because humans are genetically weaker than demihumans, XELOT relied on advanced technology to capture them, such as creating tracking device collars that would shock demihumans if they tried to escape or disobey orders.
• XELOT staff wear a distinct gold spartan warrior helmet pin that helps them be identified
